Relationships are everything in this business and it’s easy to see why. It’s Justin Elliot’s first foray into big multifamily and his relationship with property managers got him into a sweet deal for a 29-unit property in Augusta, Georgia called Midtown Point Apartments. Starting out in small multifamily in 2016, Justin eventually wanted to get bigger properties to expand his portfolio. In this conversation with Dan Handford, he discusses in detail how he found the deal through networking, how he got about with due diligence and fundraising and the developments that he is adding to the property. He also talks about having a three-strike rule and a contingency plan when dealing with investors in multifamily syndication.
