Show Notes
In this episode, I (Sarah Harmon) introduce the MOM Ritual - a simple but powerful mindfulness practice that I use personally and teach to the women in my communities.
We explore the three components of the MOM Ritual:
- M: Meeting yourself in the moment with curiosity
- O: Observing what is present with discernment, acceptance and kindness
- M: Mothering yourself by meeting your needs in the moment
I explain how our prefrontal cortex (the "human" part of our brain) plays a key role in conscious awareness and decision-making, and share practical ways to integrate this ritual into your daily life by linking it to existing habits. Most importantly, I emphasize that this practice can be done in under a minute and doesn't require completing all three steps - even just the first "M" can be transformative.
