In James Clear's Atomic Habits there's a scary reality that I'm sure we've all faced "Mastery requires practice. But the more you practice the more boring and routine it becomes". Here's the crux of the problem - the dreaded dopamine dip, quit and flip we experience with shiny object syndrome - leaving our existing projects and skills unfinished and unmastered as we pick up the next new exciting thing - until it all repeats. Learning to live with the dopamine dip is an unfortunate reality. In this episode I talk through how I'm currently dealing with it and how you can too.
