This Is Why I'm Not Paying My Student Loans Off Early (HECS/HELP/VET Loans)
On June 1st 2023 student loans in Australia (HECS/HELP/VET) we're indexed (increased) at the consumer price index which was 7.1% (versus 3.9% in June 2022 and 0.6% in June 2021) leading to a barrage of social and news media post regarding the implications for current and past students with student loans. In this episode I discuss why I'm not paying off my student loans (currently at $47,191.24 as at 18th June 2023) despite having the means to do so.
