Carrots, Sticks And Accountability: Achieving Individual Goals As A Team
This week I came to a realisation that there were only about 80 days left in the year. Time flew by and I still have a laundry list of things I want to do. So I picked my most important goals and made a bet with my accountability partners - if I hit my targets I get to donate $1000 to a charity of my choice. They countered and said if I don't I'm not allowed to donate even 1c to charity - something they know I would HATE. Here's how we plan to use carrots, sticks and accountability to make the most of 2022 and make life easier in 2023... If you'd like to see my plan check out the show notes.

Terms: If the following conditions are met I will donate $1000 to a charity of my choice. If not successful then I will not donate to any charity for 2023 (calendar year).
Conditions:
- finish Clean Code Bob C. Martin
- finish Designing Data Intensive Applications
- finish codecademy TypeScript
- finish Odin Project Foundations
- mediate 30 min per day.
- exercise daily (get lean). The lowest intensity you can do is walking and if walking it has to be one hour.
- go steam/sauna once per week.
Update: I made it and did I donate money to charity and continue to support family and friends on their causes!
