I grew up with guns and a dad that believed a good offense was the best defense. Through a dinner conversation I remember some events in my childhood involved guns and my dad. Through my friend's reaction I realized that these were not ordinary childhood experiences. And it got me thinking about what we take for granted to be "normal".
