S1 Ep 91Episode 91: Dr. Gurpreet Padda
Today we are joined by Dr. Gurpreet Padda, a man of great learning and with a great interest in metabolic health and nutrition. He became interested in metabolic health when he noticed that, woking in adult pain at the time, 91% of his patients were overweight. Through observation and experimentation, he noticed that metabolic inflammation was at the epicenter of pain, addiction, and obesity. Ever since that realization, he has continued to work toward sharing his findings and increasing his understanding of the issue. His work led him ultimately to understand that social isolation is an extremely significant factor in addiction/overeating. We also discuss in detail the metabolic impact of various foods, the importance of insulin as a marker for disease, and the importance of achieving satiety in the process of recovering from food addiction.
