Thank you for joining us for another episode of the Low Carb MD Podcast. Katherine Eban is an investigative journalist with contributions to Vanity Fair and the New York Times, is a best-selling author of two books, and has received much praise and numerous awards for her journalism. She was educated at Brown University and Oxford—at which school she was a Rhodes Scholar.

In our discussion with Katherine, we talk about her work investigating the FDA and Big Pharma, the corruption she discovered during her investigation, conditions under which many of the low-cost drugs in the market are made overseas, how companies would go to amazing lengths to falsify data, the level of fraud discovered in drug manufacturing plants in India and China, and strategies for how the FDA could better enforce compliance to their standards.

Additionally, Katherine shares some practical advice for how doctors can take in and use the information from her investigations to help their patients.
