Lauren Elkin’s previous works include&nbsp;<em>Art Monsters</em>, a landmark study of women artists,&nbsp;<em>Flâneuse</em>&nbsp;and a translation of Simone de Beauvoir’s&nbsp;<em>The Inseparables</em>.
