The Tampa Bay Rays offense explodes in a 10-6 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Rays got the scoring started in the first inning with a monster Brandon Lowe home run. The Rays would make it 3-1 in the bottom of the 2nd after a Tristan Gray 2 run home run. Bob Seymour would make it 5-1 in the 3rd with a RBI single. Then Jake Mangum would blow the game open in the 4th with a 2 RBI double to make it 7-1. By the top of the 7th the Cardinals would make the game 7-6 after a pair of home runs. But then Carson Williams in is MLB debut hit a massive 2 run home run to make it 9-6. In the bottom of the 8th Junior Caminero hit another towering home run to make it 10-6. Adrian Houser started for the Rays and was very good. He was stellar through the first 6 innings only allowing 2 runs. He ended up going 6.1 giving up 4 runs. The Tampa Bay Rays could not get out of their own way tonight, losing to the St. Louis Cardinals 7-4. This was one of the sloppiest games of the season for the Rays. The Rays finished with 3 errors, a passed ball that led to a run, and a base running mistake that took away a run. The Rays offense provided pressure all night. But Joe Boyle the Rays starter could only go 4 IP giving up 9 hits and 6 runs 4 earned. Yandy Diaz would hit a 2 run homer in the 3rd inning to make it 5-3. But more mistakes led to the Cardinals getting a run in the 4th to make it 6-3. The Rays offense had numerous chances to get the game closer but could never get the big hit. When the Rays did get a big hit to make the game 6-4 the run was called off because of a base running error. The Rays will look to bounce back tomorrow night. Like last night all of the Yankees runs came via the home run. They hit solo home runs in the 1st, the 5th and the 8th The Rays would have the bases loaded in the 7th inning but could not come through. All the Rays runs would come in the last 2 innings. It started with Bob Seymour hitting his first MLB home run in the 8th inning to make it 3-1. Then in the bottom of the 9th down to their final strike, Hunter Feduccia hit a 2 RBI double to tie the game at 3. But the Yankees would hit 2 more home runs in extra innings to make the game 6-3. Bob Seymour would hit a RBI single in the bottom of the 10th to make it 6-4. But that is as close as the Rays would get. Drew Rasmussen started for the Rays and was good once again. He went 6 IP only giving up 2 runs and striking out 6. The Rays will look to bounce back tomorrow night vs the St. Louis Cardinals. The Tampa Bay Rays can't complete the sweep, losing to the San Francisco Giants 7-1. This was another pitchers duel for the first 6 and a half innings of this game. The Rays offense could not get anything off the Giants ace Logan Webb. Ryan Pepiot was just as dominant until there was 2 outs in the 5th inning. Everything unraveled for Pepiot after that. He allowed 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th to make the game 4-0. Pepiot was fantastic until that moment. He struck out 8 Giant hitters and only allowed 2 hits until the Giants had 4 straight hits to take the lead. Mason Englert would come in and give up back to back homers in the bottom of the 7th inning to make it 6-0. Yandy Diaz would get the Rays on the board with a RBI single in the top of the 8th to make it 6-1 but thats all the Rays offense would get. The Rays finish the 12 game 14 day road trip 6-6 and will head back home to face the New York Yankees starting Tuesday night. The Rays complete another comeback to beat the San Francisco Giants again, 2-1. This was a good ole fashion pitchers duel for the first 5 and a half innings of this game. Future hall of famer Justin Verlander started for the Giants and shut out the Rays for 7 IP. Adrian Houser started for the Rays and was just as good. He went 5 IP striking out 6 and not allowing any runs. The Giants would break through in the 6th inning after Houser came out of the game to make it 1-0. After Verlander exited the Rays went to work on the Giants bullpen. Yandy Diaz would tie the game with 2 outs in the 8th with a RBI single. Brandon Lowe would give the Rays the lead with another RBI single to make it 2-1. The Rays bullpen would take it from there to seal the win for the Rays. The Tampa Bay Rays put up one of their worst performances of the year, losing to the A's 6-0. Nothing went right for the Rays tonight. They only mustered 4 hits and struck out 10 times. The Rays did not get a runner to 3rd base until the 9th inning and only a runner to 2nd base 3 times. The A's scored on a RBI double in the 2nd inning. Then in the 3rd a 2 out double would give the A's a 3-0 lead. Then the Rays dropped an infield pop up which led to another Rays run. The Rays offense finished the game going 1 for 16 as they failed to put up any kid of fight. Shane Baz started for the Rays and was inconsistent. The Tampa Bay Rays get a bounce back win, beating the A's 7-4. The Rays got it started early in the 2nd inning with a 2 RBI single by Nick Fortes to make it 2-0. The Rays had base runners on all game as they finished with 15 hits. Josh Lowe knocked one of those base runners home with a Sac fly in the 3rd to make it 3-0. The Tampa Bay Rays pick up a massive series win, beating the Los Angeles Angels 5-4. The Rays got off to a loud start in the first inning. Junior Caminero hit a 450 ft 2 run homer to give the Rays a 2-0 lead. Nick Fortes got his first hit with the Rays and it was a solo homer to make it 3-0. Junior Caminero would hit another homer to make it 4-0 in the top of the 3rd. In the bottom of the 3rd Mike Trout hit a 3 run home run to tie the game at 4. Things would be scoreless for each team until the 7th when Christopher Morel hit a mammoth solo homer to take the lead. The Rays bullpen was the story in this one. They pitched the last 5 innings of the game not giving up a single run. New bullpen arm Griffin Jax had the bases loaded no outs in the 8th and struck out the next 3 batters to preserve the lead. The Tampa Bay Rays lose a tough one to the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-0. For the 2nd time in 3 games the Rays get shut out by the Dodgers. The Rays best chance was in the 5th inning. After a Dodgers error the Rays got 1st and 3rd 1 out with the top of the lineup up, the Rays could not come through. Joe Boyle started for the Rays and was very good. He went 5 IP and did not give up any runs and struck out 2. The Dodgers would score their 2 of their 3 runs in the 6th and 7th inning both on RBI singles. They would add a run in the top of the 9th on a sac fly. The Rays would make in interesting in the bottom of the 9th. They would get the bases loaded with 2 outs but could not come through. The Tampa Bay Rays pick up a much needed win, beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-0. The Rays got the offense started early. Yandy Diaz hit a lead off home run in the first inning to get the scoring started. He would come back up in the 3rd inning with a 2 run home run to make it 3-0. Junior Caminero would hit his 28th home run of the year in the 6th to make it 4-0. Drew Rasmussen started today for the Rays and was terrific. He went 5.1 IP striking out 6 and not giving up any runs. Garrett Cleavinger came in after him and got out of a bases loaded jam in the 6th inning. After the Yankees took the lead in the 8th Josh Lowe would hit a gigantic 2 run home run to give the Rays the lead. The Rays held the Yankees scoreless for the first 7 innings. Then in the 8th the Yankees would get on the board. It started with a solo homer from Trent Grisham to tie the game. Then Giancarlo Stanton would hit a RBI single to give the Yankees the lead. After the Rays took the lead in the top of the 9th Pete Fairbanks would give up a solo home run to Anthony Volpe to tie the game. In extras Jonathan Aranda would hit a Sac Fly to give the Rays a one run lead. Cody Bellinger would tie the game with a RBI triple. The Rays would not score in the top of the 11th which led to the Yankees walking it off. Zack Littell started for the Rays and was solid again. He went 5 IP striking out 4 and not allowing a run. The Rays bullpen would be very good until the last 3 innings. All 5 of the Yankees runs came from the Rays bullpen. The Rays will look for a series split tomorrow afternoon. It started with a 2 run home run by Junior Caminero in the 1st inning. The Yankees would respond in the bottom of the 1st. Drew Rasmussen walked in 2 with the bases loaded to tie the game. The Rays would re take the lead thanks to a RBI single by Josh Lowe in the 5th inning. The Rays would add on an extra insurance run in the 8th on a Yandy Diaz Sac fly. The Rays had more than double the Yankees hits but would never quite get the hit to break the game open. The Rays pitching was fantastic tonight. After the 1st inning they shut the Yankees down.
