Strategic Storytelling for Health & Life Sciences | Giuseppe Marzio

Giuseppe Marzio, Ph.D., is a scientist-turned-strategic-storyteller. He has over twenty years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry and he is the author of the excellent book: Winner's Have a Story. Giuseppe has been instrumental in raising hundreds of millions in funding, closing high-value deals, and taking organizations to the next level. We talk about communication and pitching, particularly for startup companies, but what we discuss is useful everywhere. We talk about the 3 act structure of a story from Aristotle, as well as Aristotle's logos, pathos, ethos, chairs, and a 5th one that Giuseppi has added. He also shares a great exercise to make sure your pitch is well-balanced and thus effective. He shares one of the most important and overlooked of the Sequoia pitch guidelines, how people make the mistake of using the same pitch deck for all situations, and what you can do that is better, he shares a big failure and what he learned and I think you'll get why I'm such a fan of his! Join us in this episode!
