“The Lord your God has increased your numbers so that today you are as numerous as the stars in the sky.” Deuteronomy 1:10

“Command the Israelites and say to them when you enter Canaan, the land that will be allotted to you as an inheritance is to have these boundaries .” Numbers 34:2

“But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.” Numbers 33:55

“When a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.” Numbers 30:2

So the Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him.” Numbers 27:18

“Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything of my own accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the Lord and I must say only what the Lord says?” Numbers 24:13

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honour me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” Numbers 20:12

The Lord said to Moses “How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the signs I have performed among them?” Numbers 14:11

“We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost - also the cucumbers, melons, leeks, onions and garlic but now we have lost our appetite; we never see anything but this manna!” Numbers 11:5-6

The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: If a man or woman wants to make a special vow, a vow of dedication to the Lord as a Nazirite, they must abstain from wine and other fermented drink … As long as they remain under their Nazirite vow, they must not eat anything that comes from the grapevine, not even the seeds or skins.” Numbers 6:1-4

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron “The Israelites are to camp around the tent of meeting some distance from it, each of them under their standard and holding the banners of their family.” Numbers 2:1-2

“Anyone who injures their neighbour is to be injured in the same manner: fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. The one who has inflicted the injury must suffer the same injury.” Leviticus 24:19-20

The Lord said to Moses “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: These are my appointed festivals, the appointed festivals of the Lord, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.” Leviticus 23:1-2

“You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. You must obey My laws and be careful to follow My decrees. I am the Lord your God.” Leviticus 18:3-4

“… on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the Lord, you will be clean from all your sins.” Leviticus 16:30

“The person to be cleansed must wash their clothes, shave off all their hair and bathe with water; then they will be ceremonially clean. After this they may come into the camp but they must stay outside their tent for seven days.” Leviticus 14:8

Say to the Israelites “Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat.” Leviticus 11:2

Then Moses brought Aaron and his sons forward and washed them with water. He put the tunic on Aaron, tied the sash around him, clothed him with the robe and put the ephod on him. He also fastened the ephod with a decorative waistband, which he tied around him. Leviticus 8:6-7

This is the portion of the food offerings presented to the Lord that was allotted to Aaron and his sons on the day they were presented to serve the Lord as priests. Leviticus 7:35

“When anyone is unfaithful to the Lord by sinning unintentionally … they are to bring to the Lord as a penalty a ram from the flock, one without defect … They must make restitution for what they have failed to do … and pay an additional penalty of a fifth of its value …” Leviticus 5:15-16

The Lord called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: When anyone among you brings an offering to the Lord, bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock.” Leviticus 1:1-2

Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Exodus 40:35

…everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service and for the sacred garments. Exodus 35:21

They said to me “Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.” So I told them “Whoever has any gold jewellery, take it off.” Then they gave me the gold, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf! Exodus 32:23-24

When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God. Exodus 31:18

“Have Aaron your brother brought to you from among the Israelites, along with his sons Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, so they may serve Me as priests. Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honour.” Exodus 28:1-2

“Then have them make a sanctuary for Me and I will dwell among them. Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you...” Exodus 25:8-9

“These are the laws you are to set before them:” Exodus 21:1

So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all the words the Lord had commanded him to speak. The people all responded together “We will do everything the Lord has said…” Exodus 19:7-8

He chose capable men from all Israel and made them leaders of the people, officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. Exodus 18:25

Then the Lord said to Moses “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.” Exodus 14:15

The Israelites did just what the Lord commanded… Exodus 12:28

Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded them. Moses was eighty years old and Aaron eighty-three when they spoke to Pharaoh. Exodus 7:6-7

Moses said to God “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” Exodus 3:11

The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live.Exodus 1:17

“...God will surely come to your aid... God will surely come to your aid...” Genesis 50:24-25

“...now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.” Genesis 45:5

“Take your brother also and go back to the man at once.” Genesis 43:13

Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old age; and he made an ornate robe for him. Genesis 37:3

“We will enter into an agreement with you on one condition only: that you become like us by circumcising all your males.” Genesis 34:15

Esau asked “What’s the meaning of all these flocks and herds I met?” “To find favour in your eyes, my lord,” he said. But Esau said, “I already have plenty, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself.” Genesis 33:8-9

“Finish this daughter’s bridal week; then we will give you the younger one also, in return for another seven years of work.” Jacob did so... Genesis 29:27-28

Then Jacob made a vow, saying “If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear so that I return safely to my father’s household, then the Lord will be my God…” Genesis 28:20-21

”...We saw clearly that the Lord was with you...” Genesis 26:28

Abraham answered, “God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son”. And the two of them went on together... Genesis 22:8

Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground Genesis 18:2

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said “I am God Almighty; walk before Me faithfully and be blameless. Then I will make My covenant between Me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.” Genesis 17:1-2

Then Abram gave Him a tenth of everything Genesis 14:20

Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. When they came to Harran, they settled there. Genesis 11:31

The Lord regretted that He had made human beings on the earth, and His heart was deeply troubled. Genesis 6:6
