Today's episode of Finding Freedom is a fascinating conversation with former LSD Kingpin and fugitive Seth Ferranti. My guest today is Wendy Hechtman. Wendy has a powerful personal story to share, as well as her ongoing fight against the tyranny of the COVID regime to keep non-violent prisoners free. Wendy was an opiate addict (clean four years now!) which led to a charge of conspiracy to manufacture carfentanil. She served three years in prison, most of which was at Danbury, and will have four years total done at the end of this month. She has 8 years remaining. On today's episode of Finding Freedom, Jennifer B Hagan joins the show. Jennifer's sister Jessica Linton was charged with 24 counts of conspiracy and healthcare fraud and was sentenced to 11 years in prison. She has maintained her innocence, but many of the other 25 employees at Global Pharmacy, where she worked were bullied into signing a Plea Deal. Jessica cooperated with the FBI for 3 years before they shoved a plea deal in her face, which would have forced her to lie and claim that she committed healthcare fraud. Jessica refused. Now Jessica is separated from her family and her husband is forced to raise their 9 year old daughter as a single Dad. She is being mistreated by the BOP and her health is moving in a dangerous direction because the BOP is not capable (does not care) about treating her health conditions. On today's episode I'm joined by Ricky Gonzales. Ricky is here to advocate for his fiancé Raquel Esquivel. After being a model inmate, and serving 11 years of her 15-year sentence (for a crime in which she maintains her innocence) in April 2020, Raquel was released under the Cares Act and reunited with her three children. She was granted custody of her two older children in March 2021. In May 2020, Raquel was hired by T Bar Drilling, Inc. Because Raquel was released under the Cares Act, she was required to wear an ankle monitor, She was not allowed much freedom in movement, and was required to be in constant contact with the halfway-house. On May 10, 2021, Raquel was violated from the Cares Act by the BOP, and charged with ESCAPE. BOP claims Raquel did not check in when moving about from job site to job site on March 4, 2021. On today’s episode of Finding Freedom Shannon Lawson joins the show. Shannon is here to advocate for her sister Keri Burroughs. Keri was released under the Cares Act in June 2020, she spent several months in a half-way house before finally getting sent home. This was after she lost a toe while still under the care of the prison system during a stay in a half-way house. Unfortunately, on June 25, 2021, Keri was returned to prison after being charged with escape.
