Ep 218LF218 Jay Dyer – Esoteric Hollywood: Sex, Cults and Symbols in Film Part Three

E

Jay Dyer discusses his book Esoteric Hollywood – Sex, Cults and Symbols in Film. This is a three part interview. Part one is here. Part two is here Delving into the deep, dark and mysterious undertones hidden in blockbusters and cult classics alike, Esoteric Hollywood explores philosophy, religion, symbolism and geopolitics, and their connections to film. We probe the prevalence of cinematic propaganda and predictive programming in promoting an ignorant, apathetic, dumbed-down generation of compliant consumers concerned only with instant gratification, unable and unwilling to challenge authority or subvert the status quo. We break down some of our own personal film favourites and ask whether, in an era dominated by gaming and social media, movies are less influential on the youth of today than they were in the past. We also reveal Hollywood’s covert links to the CIA, how the border between fantasy and reality continues to blur, and the history of profound truths being hidden in plain sight on the silver screen. And from the dystopian sci fi and gritty, hard-boiled thrillers prevalent in the 1970s to the airbrushed, CGI-infested aberrations of today, we examine the extent to which movie makers are, unwittingly or otherwise, laying before our very eyes a real-world future which draws closer frame by frame. Ep 167LF167 Jay Dyer – Magic, Mass Media and the Mind Control Matrix

E

We live in a world of illusion, a realm of the unreal. The primal impulses and drives so central to our being – for meaning, purpose, oneness, and love – are diminished and driven out amid the avalanche of disinformation, duplicity and deceit under which we labour, day in, day out. Our culture has become corrupted, our instincts corroded, and the very idea of truth lost in a sea of lies. Many among us think that it has always been so; still others see a species simply gone astray, forlornly searching once more for the way from which we wandered on some fateful day. And yet within this matrix of manipulation, we can discover patterns of programming, many of which, while having ancient origins, point to a very modern purpose. An agenda whose endgame is encoded in the symbols and signs that surround us is being expertly executed moment by moment, moving humanity, the Earth itself, and maybe much, much more than that towards a goal impossibly vast. Wading into the world of conspiracy theories, the swamp of secret societies, and a great deal more, we explore intriguing ideas and wild speculation alike, and along the way uncover a decidedly dark and disturbing picture. www.jaysanalysis.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ John Carpenter ‘Dark Star OST’ Listen to more shows on Legalise Freedom Dot Com.

Ep 160LF160 Graham Hancock – Magicians of the Gods

E

Graham Hancock discusses his new book Magicians of the Gods. Hancock’s multi-million bestseller Fingerprints of the Gods remains an astonishing and deeply controversial investigation of the mysteries of our past and the evidence for lost civilizations on Earth. Twenty years on, he returns with Magicians of the Gods which shows beyond reasonable doubt that an advanced civilization that flourished during the Ice Age was destroyed in global cataclysms between 12,800 and 11,600 years ago. A giant comet that had entered the solar system from deep space thousands of years earlier, broke into multiple fragments, some of which struck the Earth causing devastation on a scale unseen since the extinction of the dinosaurs. The impacts from comet fragments a mile wide approaching at more than 60,000 miles an hour instantly liquidized millions of square miles of ice, destabilizing the Earth’s crust and causing the global Deluge that is remembered in myths all around the world. A second series of equally devastating impacts caused further cataclysmic flooding around 11,600 years ago, the exact date that Plato gives for the annihilation of Atlantis. But there were survivors, who travelled the world in great ships doing all in their power to keep the spark of civilization burning. They settled at key locations – Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, Baalbek in the Lebanon, Giza in Egypt, ancient Sumer, Mexico, Peru and across the Pacific. Everywhere they went these ‘Magicians of the Gods’ brought with them the memory of a time when mankind had fallen out of harmony with the universe and paid a heavy price. A memory and a warning to the future; for the comet that wrought such utter destruction may not be done with us yet. Astronomers believe that a 20-mile wide fragment of the original giant comet remains hidden within its debris stream and still threatens the Earth. An astronomical message encoded at Gobekli Tepe, and in the Sphinx and the pyramids of Egypt, warns us that the ‘Great Return’ will occur in our time… www.grahamhancock.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Bernard Xolotl ‘Saturn Return’ Listen to more shows on Legalise Freedom Dot Com.

Ep 129LF129 Dave McGowan – Murder, Mystery, Mayhem: The Dark Heart of the Hippie Dream

E

Dave McGowan discusses his book Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon: Laurel Canyon, Covert Ops & the Dark Heart of the Hippie Dream. In the 1960s and early 1970s, California’s Laurel Canyon was a magical place where a dizzying array of musicians congregated to create the soundtrack to those turbulent times. Members of bands such The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, The Monkees, The Beach Boys, The Eagles, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, Steppenwolf, Captain Beefheart, Alice Cooper and The Doors, along with singer/songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Carole King and Jackson Browne, lived, loved, and jammed together in a seemingly idyllic community nestled in the Hollywood Hills. But there was a dark side to this pastoral scene. Many didn’t make it out alive, and many of those deaths remain shrouded in mystery to this very day. Far more deeply involved in the scene than most would care to admit was convicted murderer and cult leader Charles Manson, along with his depraved entourage. Also floating about the periphery were various political operatives, up-and-coming politicians, and intelligence personnel – the same sort of people who just happened to give birth to many of the rock stars populating the Canyon. And all of the Canyon’s colorful characters – rock stars, hippies, actors, politicos and murderers – happily coexisted alongside a covert, some would say sinister, military installation. Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon is the very strange, but nevertheless true story of the dark underbelly of a hippie utopia. www.davesweb.cnchost.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Led Zeppelin ‘In The Evening’ (Legalise Freedom Remix) Listen to more shows on Legalise Freedom Dot Com.

Ep 101LF101 Thomas Sheridan – Rise of the Nazi Death Cult: Part Two

E

This is a two part interview. Part one is here. Thomas Sheridan discusses his book Walpurgis Night: Volume One 1919 – 1933. Did you know that Hitler feared a dormant demonic force residing inside the moon which he believed somehow created and controlled human destiny? In Walpurgis Night: Volume One, Sheridan – known for his work on psychopathology, mass hysteria and social engineering – for the first time tackles a historical subject using these concepts as a framework in which to re-examine the rise of the Nazi cult and its legacy. Sheridan’s research goes beyond the occult development of the Nazis by delving into the repressed Teutonic Häxan psyche. Examining everything from the movies of the era, to the political factions of 1919 who were invoking their own demons of death and destruction. The book takes into account every aspect of the Nazi occult from Fascination – otherwise known as eye magic – to word spells, to the sex magic rituals of the Third Reich. You will never see history in quite the same way again, and you’ll be left wondering if indeed the Nazis Black-Häxan magic is still at work today. Ep 80LF80 Tony Wright – Return to the Brain of Eden: Part Two

E

Tony Wright discusses his forthcoming book Return to the Brain of Eden: Restoring the Connection Between Neurochemistry and Consciousness. This is a two part interview. Part one is here. Over a period of a million years the human brain expanded at an increasingly rapid rate, but suddenly, around 200,000 years ago, this expansion stopped. Modern science has overlooked this in order to maintain the illusion that humans are at the pinnacle of evolution. However, it is extremely significant that the abrupt end to brain expansion explains not only recently uncovered anomalies within the human brain, but also the universal mythic traditions of a lost earthly paradise and of humanity’s degeneration from our original state of perpetual wonder and joy. Drawing on more than 20 years of research, Return to the Brain of Eden explores how our modern brains are performing far below their true potential and how we can unlock our higher abilities and return to the euphoria of our distant past. It explains how for millions of years early forest-dwelling humans were primarily consuming the hormone-rich sex organs of plants – otherwise known as fruit – which contains a highly complex biochemical cocktail evolved to influence DNA transcription, rapid brain development, and elevated neural and pineal gland activity. Recent neurological and psychological studies suggest that the loss of our symbiotic fruit-based diet led to a progressive neuro-degenerative condition characterized by aggressive behaviour, a fearful perception of the world, and the suppression of higher artistic, mathematical, and spiritual abilities. Return to the Brain of Eden shows how many shamanic and spiritual traditions were developed to counteract our decline, and outlines a strategy to reverse our degeneration, restore our connection with the plant world, and regain the bliss and peace that is the natural human condition. www.leftinthedark.org.uk www.beyond-belief.org.uk Additional background information: A symbiotic theory of human origins. Ep 78LF78 Gregory Sams – The State is Out of Date

E

Gregory Sams discusses his book The State is Out of Date – We Can Do it Better. Does anyone really think that politics is working – aside from those in power and behind it? Living in peace and harmony is a more natural condition than that which we experience in today’s conflict-driven world. We are community animals with built-in empathy, organizing best from the bottom up. The most essential and reliable features of our culture arose without top-down planning by a state that has one basic objective – to stay in power. The State is Out of Date reassures us that politics is not even the biggest game in town, though it may sometimes look like the only one. But what can we do? Where can we go from here? The State is Out of Date puts us on the right track by pointing peacefully forward rather than backwards. It is a manifesto that advocates self-selecting organization over centralized government, common sense over the status quo. www.gregorysams.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ John Carpenter ‘Escape From New York’ OST

Ep 77LF77 Dada Maheshvarananda – After Capitalism: Economic Democracy in Action

E

Dada Maheshvarananda discusses his book After Capitalism: Economic Democracy in Action. A grassroots movement for economic democracy based on cooperatives and local economies is quickly growing throughout the planet. Inspired by P.R. Sarkar’s Progressive Utilization Theory (Prout), After Capitalism offers a compelling vision of an equitable, sustainable model which economically empowers individuals and communities. Filled with successful examples from six continents as well as many resources, activities and tools for activists, After Capitalism offers hope that a new, democratic economy is indeed possible. Progressive Utilization Theory was developed in 1959 by the late Indian scholar-author and activist Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar. Mr. Sarkar sought a practical alternative to the theories of Marxism (communism) and Capitalism. Prout is based on universal values recognizing and protecting the rights of all to the fulfillment of their basic needs; the protection of the environment, plants and animals; and a dynamic, incentive-based multi-tiered economy with local and cooperative enterprises at its core. It encourages a balance in the effort of satisfying individual and collective needs. www.priven.org www.proutglobe.org Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Philip Glass ‘Glassworks’

Ep 76LF76 Dr. Eric Karlstrom – Weather Warfare and Mind Control

E

Dr. Eric Karlstrom discusses geo-engineering, weather manipulation and related topics. Man has been changing Earth’s environment to suit his own needs for thousands of years. During the 20th Century, however, the scope and scale of such changes expanded exponentially. Powerful and exotic technologies now exist which allow almost unimaginable control over Earth, sea and sky, but where did they come from? Who controls them and to what end? And why are they shrouded in a veil of secrecy and denial? In a web that connects the Nazis, NASA, mind control, 9/11, chemtrails and climate change, Dr. Karlstrom exposes a shadowy network of government, corporate and military agencies pursuing a dark and dangerous agenda which has the potential to threaten all life on Earth and the stability of the planet itself. Ep 75LF75 John Michael Greer – Green Wizardry

E

John Michael Greer discusses his latest book Green Wizardry. The Earth is changing. Global crises and collapse threaten economies, energy and the environment. Industrial civilization has begun to hit hard limits which will deliver a future very different from the one governments and corporations promised us. Yet we are in denial as the mainstream media sedates us with soothing talk of a return to endless growth and prosperity. The inevitable transition to a post-industrial world which is currently underway will therefore likely be traumatic as we collectively refuse to acknowledge the severity of the situation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Action taken now to streamline and simplify day to day life can go a long way towards reducing hardship as the age of abundance industrialism gradually winds down. Re-learning practical skills that former generations took for granted could mean the difference between survival and starvation. And this is where Green Wizardry comes in. From the basic concepts of ecology to a plethora of practical techniques such as composting, green manure, low-tech food preservation and storage, small-scale chicken and rabbit raising, solar water heating, alternative energy sources, and more, Green Wizardry is essential for anyone concerned about decreasing our dependence on an overloaded industrial system and, in a world of serious energy shortages and economic troubles, making life more liveable. Ep 74LF74 Dick Allgire – The God Particle

E

Veteran journalist and remote viewer Dick Allgire discusses his documentary Hitomi and the God Particle which records one of the most fascinating remote viewing sessions ever produced. Remote viewing is the ability to perceive sensory information across space and time. Trained remote viewers are able to see, hear and feel distant locations and events using only their mind. Although this inherent human ability is as old as mankind, top-secret US military units subsequently developed structured methods of remote viewing as psychic spy technology. It was later declassified and taught to civilians who now comprise the bulk of remote viewers worldwide. Hitomi and The God Particle follows psychotherapist Hitomi Akamatsu’s quest to master various forms of remote viewing. She traveled to Hawaii in 2012 for intensive training with the Hawaii Remote Viewers’ Guild. She demonstrated a remarkable ability to see, sketch and describe things that were physically distant, without any foreknowledge of the target. During her training she was given a blind target – the creation of the Higgs-Boson subatomic reaction, the so-called ‘God Particle’, as sought by scientists at the CERN laboratory in Switzerland. Then she began a remarkable journey into the connection between matter and mind, and the consciousness of the universe itself. Ep 73LF73 Robert Feather – Black Holes in the Dead Sea Scrolls

E

Robert Feather discusses his book Black Holes in the Dead Sea Scrolls which makes revelations that pose major challenges to conventional interpretations of Judaism, Islam, Christianity and the Bible itself. The Dead Sea Scrolls were unearthed in 1947, and were quickly hailed as the greatest cultural discovery of the twentieth century. They can tell us a great deal about how to read and interpret the Bible as well as throwing light on the origins of the literary and philosophical traditions of the Western world. Ensuring the Scrolls are understood correctly is the urgent duty of the scholarly world, but this is not happening. Instead, there is procrastination, intrigue and secrecy surrounding their publication. Feather seeks to clarify what they really say and how they illuminate a sound interpretation of the Bible. He levels many criticisms about the archaeological methods, the political complexities, and the obscure procedures of the scholarly community which brought the Scrolls to light. He argues that it is time for some courageous truth telling about the mystery that surrounds the Scrolls to this day. Pete Wilky and Grov Moluvsky discuss their recent book The Difference We Make which presents a straight-talking, no-nonsense view of the corruption and abuses of governments and corporations through the lens of popular music culture. Although the tradition of music as a vehicle for protest and resistance has steadily been eroded by the corporate music industry, throughout the decades many grassroots movements have survived and even thrived amidst gathering tyranny and suppression. The Difference We Make takes a tour of Mod, Punk, Indie and many other music scenes that have spawned outspoken and controversial figures, talking to many well-known writers and musicians along the way. Ep 411LF71 Robert Howells – The Last Pope and the Fall of the Vatican

E

Robert Howells discusses his book The Last Pope – Francis and the Fall of the Vatican. Nearly a thousand years ago the Archbishop of Armagh, later canonised as St Malachy, made a series of prophecies that were hidden in the Vatican for 400 years. His predictions gave clues to the identities of the 109 Popes from medieval times to the present day, including the final Pope who would oversee the end of the Papacy and the fall of the Roman Catholic Church. The Last Pope examines the sudden ‘rediscovery’ of these prophecies in the 16th century and how they may have been used as propaganda in the campaign to promote Pope Gregory XIV to the papal throne. The book also explores the claim that the prophecies are forgeries. Ultimately, they stand or fall by their accuracy after the time of their rediscovery, and there are many examples where, even in recent years, they have proven to be entirely correct. In the final prophecy, St Malachy describes the last Pope as ‘Peter the Roman’. The worldwide media frenzy surrounding the resignation of Benedict XVI and the election of Francis set the stage for the current Pope who may be the last of the line. Is Francis ‘Peter the Roman’? Will he prove Malachy right and oversee the fall of Rome and the destruction of the Catholic Church? www.robhowells.co.uk Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Ed Tomney ‘Dracula Rising’ OST

E

Writer and comedian Dominic Frisby discusses his new book Life After the State. Have you got the feeling that things are spiraling out of control, that politics has lost its way and that – despite government promises – nothing ever changes? Well, you’re right. In every instance where government gets involved in people’s lives with a desire to do good, it can always be relied on to make the situation much, much worse. Yet despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, we imagine that a world without the state would be a wild and terrifying place. Ep 69LF69 Guy McPherson – Earth Extinction 2030

E

Guy McPherson discusses his latest book Going Dark. We are the last individuals of our species on Earth. How shall we respond? How shall we act? If industrial civilization is maintained, climate change will cause human extinction in the near term. If industrial civilization falls, sufficient ionizing radiation will be released from the world’s nuclear power plants to cause human extinction in the near term. In the wake of this horrific conclusion, conservation biologist McPherson proposes we act with compassion, courage, and creativity. He suggests we act with the kind of empathy for which humans are renowned. In other words, he suggests we act with decency toward the humans and other organisms with which we share this beautiful planet. Going Dark is the story of one scientist’s response to the horrors we face. It is a deeply personal narrative infused with abundant evidence to support its terrifying claims. Going Dark peels the shadow from the cosy dreams we’ve all bought into – that technology will save us from climate change; that the products we consume are endless and untainted; that our modern idea of happiness and convenience doesn’t crush others; that the heartbeat of the industrial economy that pulses within us is sustainable and ethical. Ep 68LF68 Doug Lain – The Dream of Reality

E

Writer, blogger and podcaster Doug Lain discusses his novel Billy Moon and some of the associated ideas and concepts. Topics discussed include fiction vs non-fiction, science fiction, culture, control, the meaning of meaning, surrealism, philosophy, paradox, dreams, and the nature of reality. Billy Moon was Christopher Robin Milne, the son of A. A. Milne, the world-famous author of Winnie the Pooh and other beloved children’s classics. Billy’s life was no fairy-tale, though. Being the son of a famous author meant being ignored and even mistreated by famous parents; he had to make his own way in the world, define himself, and reconcile his self-image with the image of him known to millions of children. A veteran of World War II, a husband and father, he is jolted out of midlife ennui when a French college student revolutionary asks him to come to the chaos of Paris in revolt. Against a backdrop of the apocalyptic student protests and general strike that forced France to a standstill that spring, Milne’s new French friend is a wild card, able to experience alternate realities of the past and present. Through him, Milne’s life is illuminated and transformed, as are the world-altering events of that year. In a time when the Occupy movement eerily mirrors the political turbulence of 1968, this magic realist novel is an especially relevant and important book. www.douglaslain.net www.dietsoap.podomatic.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Tangerine Dream ‘Bent Cold Sidewalk’ Listen to more shows on Legalise Freedom Dot Com.

Ep 67LF67 William Buhlman – Adventures in the Afterlife

E

William Buhlman discusses out of body experiences and his latest book Adventures in the Afterlife. Adventures in the Afterlife is a powerful journey of spiritual awakening; a bold quest for answers and enlightenment. The old assumptions of heaven are confronted and an expansive new vision of our continuing life is presented. After being diagnosed with cancer, William pursued answers to the mysteries of our existence after death. Confronting his mortality, he experienced profound insights into what lies beyond our physical body. Our journey into the next life is the basis for Adventures in the Afterlife. The author chronicles his out of body experiences and lucid dreams, and although the insights are sometimes surprising, a clear message is always apparent; we are powerful, spiritual beings and we shape our reality now and in the future. William’s 40 years of extensive personal out-of-body explorations give him a unique and thought provoking insight into this subject. His first book, Adventures Beyond the Body chronicles his personal journey of self-discovery through out-of-body travel, and provides the reader with the preparation and techniques that can be used for their own adventure. He has conducted an international out-of-body experience survey that includes over 16,000 participants from 42 countries. The provocative results of this survey are presented in his second book, The Secret of the Soul. This cutting edge work explores the unique opportunities for personal growth and profound spiritual awakenings that are reported during out-of-body experiences. www.astralinfo.org www.monroeinstitute.org Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Data 70 ‘Space Loops’ Listen to more shows on Legalise Freedom Dot Com.

Ep 66LF66 Luigi Sciambarella – Altered States, Lucid Dreams and The Evolution of Consciousness

E

Luigi Sciambarella of The Monroe Institute discusses altered states, lucid dreams and the evolution of consciousness. Out of body experiences (OBEs) and other altered states of consciousness offer some of the most compelling evidence that reality extends beyond our five senses, and that consciousness itself transcends death. These experiences can also lead to awareness that the universe is fundamentally a multidimensional energy field and that all things within it are interconnected. Such realizations hold powerful potential for personal growth, self-healing, problem solving, creativity and – ultimately – profound spiritual awakening. The Monroe Institute (TMI) is a non-profit research and educational organization dedicated to enhancing the uses and understanding of human consciousness. Through their programs, tools, and world-renowned technologies, TMI aids participants in achieving targeted states of consciousness – many not typically available during normal waking conditions – and in building skills to re-enter, explore, and utilize those states at will. www.monroeinstitute.org www.monroeinstituteuk.org Listen to more shows on Legalise Freedom Dot Com. Anthony Peake discusses his book The Infinite Mindfield: The Quest to Find the Gateway to Higher Consciousness. The Infinite Mindfield uses as its starting point the widespread historical belief that the pineal gland – the ‘third eye’ – is a profoundly important organ. It links this to the various myths, originating in ancient Sumer, that ‘dragons’ or ‘serpents’ have guided humanity and presents evidence that these beings are symbolic of DNA. It is now known that DNA gives off a form of light known as bioluminescence. This information-rich ‘inner light’ needs an organ of sight to process it – that organ is the pineal gland. It is through this small organ that we ‘perceive’ the inner worlds of lucid dreaming, out-of-body experiences, hypnagogic imagery, near-death experiences, astral travel and the kundalini experience. For thousands of years voyagers of inner space – spiritual seekers, shamans and mystics – have returned from their inner travels reporting another level of reality that is more real than the one we inhabit in ‘waking life’. Others have claimed that under the influence of mysterious substances, known as entheogens, the everyday human mind can be given glimpses of this multidimensional realm of existence that is usually hidden from us by our five basic senses. Using information from the leading edges of modern science, Anthony presents a startling new hypothesis that these ‘inner worlds’ are as real, or possibly even more real, than the ‘reality’ we experience in waking life. The Infinite Mindfield ends with a mind-blowing proposition: all living beings are one unitary consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. www.anthonypeake.com Anthony on The Labyrinth of Time Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Tangerine Dream ‘Sequent C’ Listen to more shows on Legalise Freedom Dot Com.

Ep 64LF64 Thomas Roberts – The Psychedelic Future of the Mind

E

Dr. Thomas Roberts discusses his new book The Psychedelic Future of the Mind which explores scientific and medical research on the emerging uses of psychedelics to enrich mind, morals, spirituality, and creativity. As psychedelic psychotherapy gains recognition through research at universities and medical establishments, the other beneficial uses of psychedelics are also beginning to be recognized and researched. Exploring the bright future of psychedelics, Dr. Roberts reveals how new uses for entheogens will enrich individuals as well as society as a whole by raising individual and business attitudes away from self-centeredness, improving daily life with strengthened feelings of meaningfulness and spirituality, and helping us understand and redesign the human mind. Dr. Roberts envisions a future where you will seek psychedelic therapy not only for psychological reasons but also for personal growth, creative problem solving, improved brain function, and heightened spiritual awareness. Our psychedelic future is on the horizon – a future that harnesses the full potential of mind and spirit – and this book outlines a path to reach it. www.niu.academia.edu/thomasroberts For further information about psychedelics visit www.erowid.org Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Klaus Schulze ‘Titanensee: 3 – Uranos’ Listen to more shows on Legalise Freedom Dot Com.

Ep 404LF62 Kingsley Dennis – Dawn of the Akashic Age

E

Author, researcher and futurist Kingsley Dennis discusses his recent book Dawn of the Akashic Age. The world is changing. The transition from the mechanistic worldview to one that recognizes the interconnectedness of all life is upon us. It is the dawning of the Akashic Age. The Akashic field that connects the universe is now recognized by cutting-edge science. What we know about communication, energy, and consciousness is rapidly evolving in tandem with the new quantum worldview. Many adults are consciously evolving to meet the transitional challenges at hand, while today’s youth have arrived already hard-wired with the new consciousness. Rising from the ashes of the old systems, this Phoenix generation of radical change agents is seeding our evolution and spiritual transformation, a process that will continue over the next few decades. Authors Kingsley Dennis and Ervin Laszlo look at the chief engine of the coming changes – the growing global understanding of non-locality – and the development of practical applications for it. They examine how the new values and new consciousness taking hold will reorganize society from top-down hierarchies into grassroots networks like those revealed through quantum physics’ understanding of energy and information waves and experienced daily by millions through social media. www.kingsleydennis.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Cliff Martinez ‘Solaris OST’

Ep 61LF61 Philip Coggan – Money, Debt and the New World Order

E

Philip Coggan discusses his book Money, Debt and the New World Order. In today’s financial climate, we are all, naturally, obsessed by debt. In almost every aspect of our life we experience it – on our credit cards, mortgages, bank loans and student loans. But where has this debt come from? How does it work? What is any money really worth? And what promises do we need to believe to keep the whole system afloat? In a fascinating look at money through the ages – including our own unstable future – Philip examines the flawed structure of the global finance systems as they exist today, and asks, with deeper imbalances that the world is currently facing, what’s actually at stake. Philip Coggan is a British columnist and author of books on economics who currently writes for The Economist. Previously, he worked for the Financial Times. In 2008, he was named Senior Financial Journalist of the Year by the Wincott Foundation and in 2009 he was voted Best Communicator at the Business Journalist of the Year Awards. Ep 60LF60 Courtney Brown – Atlantis: The True Story – Part Two

E

Courtney Brown of the Farsight Institute discusses the outcome of a recent remote viewing project focused on the existence of a lost ancient civilization. The full results have been presented in the DVD Atlantis – The True Story. This is a two part interview. Part one is here. Thousands of years ago, a technologically advanced human civilization thrived on Earth. Some have called it Atlantis, but it was real, not a mythological story. Their civilization was not undone by a natural cataclysm, but through the reckless misuse of their own science. Only a few thousand people survived, and everyone on Earth today is related to that same small group of survivors. The Farsight Institute’s Atlantis project is a breakthrough scientific study that combines the use of remote viewing, U.S. government underwater imaging data, genetic knowledge, and a hefty dose of open-minded thinking. Remote viewing is a mental procedure that was originally developed by the United States military and used for espionage purposes. Now, civilians employ the same methods, or procedures that are derivative of those methods, to study human history. Using data collected by two of the most accomplished military grade remote viewers of the day, the true story of what happened when Atlantis collapsed is now told with striking detail and clarity. Forget what you learned in school about human civilization being a recent phenomenon. All that you see today, all the wonders of human achievement, have all been done before. And it ended very badly. Ep 58LF58 David Jay Brown – The New Science of Psychedelics

E

David Jay Brown discusses his latest book The New Science of Psychedelics – At the Nexus of Culture, Consciousness, and Spirituality. For as long as humanity has existed, we have used psychedelics to raise our levels of consciousness and seek healing, first in the form of visionary plants such as cannabis, and now with the addition of manmade psychedelics such as LSD and MDMA. These substances have inspired spiritual awakenings, artistic and literary works, technological and scientific innovation, and even political revolutions. But what does the future hold for humanity and can psychedelics help take us there? Sharing insights from luminaries such as Terence McKenna, Edgar Mitchell, Deepak Chopra, Jerry Garcia, Annie Sprinkle and Rupert Sheldrake, The New Science of Psychedelics explores the revelations brought about through its author’s psychedelic experiences and his work with visionaries of the psychedelic and scientific communities. The book investigates the role of psychedelics in creativity, lucid dreaming, time travel, sex and pleasure enhancement, morphic field theory, encounters with nonhuman entities, the interface between science and spirituality, and the nature and evolution of consciousness. Revealing not only what psychedelics can teach us about ourselves and the world around us, David also shows how they are preparing humanity for a future of enlightened minds and worlds beyond our solar system. www.mavericksofthemind.com For further information about psychedelics visit www.erowid.org Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Klaus Schulze ‘Mental Door’

Ep 57LF57 Brian Czech – The End of Economic Growth

E

Brian Czech discusses his new book Supply Shock: Economic Growth at the Crossroads and the Steady State Solution. Politicians, economists and Wall Street would have us believe that limitless economic expansion is the Holy Grail, and that there is no conflict between growing the economy and protecting the environment. Supply Shock debunks these widely accepted myths and demonstrates that we are in fact navigating the end of the era of economic growth, and that the only sustainable alternative is the development of a steady state economy. Czech presents a compelling alternative to growth based on keen scientific, economic, and political insights. These include the trophic theory of money, the overlooked source of technological progress that prevents us from reconciling growth and environmental protection, and bold yet practical policies for establishing a steady state economy. Supply Shock leaves no doubt that the biggest idea of the 20th century – economic growth – has become the biggest problem of the 21st. Ep 56LF56 Bill Still – Jekyll Island: The Truth Behind the Federal Reserve

E

Monetary reform activist Bill Still discusses his latest documentary Jekyll Island: The Truth Behind the Federal Reserve. What’s the real problem with the world economy? It’s debt. Too much personal debt, too much corporate debt and – most importantly – too much government debt. People have a natural tendency to want to spend now and pay later, and governments are no different. The problem is that government money mostly comes from just two sources; taxation and borrowing. Governments can either raise taxes to cover their reckless spending, or borrow from private banks and continue to kick the financial can down the road. Unfortunately, the vast sums governments owe to these private, for-profit banks continually attracts interest, and this mathematically un-payable debt is now strangling the life out of the economy of every nation on Earth. But crucially, it’s not just the sheer volume of interest paid to the banks, it’s the control over the political process this debt gives the banks. We can never fix the instability in the world economic system until we forbid government borrowing. Economic instability favours banks and speculators, whereas economic stability favours the people. If banks control the creation of money, there is no way there will ever be a stable economic system. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be this way. Banks don’t need to be in control. Governments don’t need to borrow. Governments don’t need a national debt. www.billstill.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Autechre ‘Teartear’

Ep 53LF53 Michael Wood – The Psychology of Conspiracy

E

Are some people more likely than others to believe in conspiracy theories, and if so, why? Real conspiracies are exposed every day, but where does the line between fantasy and reality disappear? In a recent study entitled What About Building 7? – A Social Psychological Study Of Online Discussion Of 9/11 Conspiracy Theories, Dr Michael Wood and Dr Karen Douglas of the University of Kent (UK) explore these questions, and more. Their research suggests that people who argue in favour of conspiracy theories do so differently from those who argue against them, and that there are distinct psychological differences between those who support conspiracy theories and those who support the official story. Belief systems also have a profound effect on the acceptance or rejection of conspiracy theories. In their analysis, conspiracy theories are more about disbelieving the official story than believing in some alternative account. For those who think 9/11 was an inside job, for example, the focus is not on promoting a specific rival theory, but in trying to debunk the official account. Those promoting 9/11 conspiracy theories are also more likely to promote unrelated conspiracy theories, such as those about the deaths of John F. Kennedy and Princess Diana. The study also found that those who favour official accounts are generally more hostile than the pro-conspiracy camp and – perhaps unsurprisingly – that conspiracy theorists do not like being called conspiracy theorists. www.conspiracypsych.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’

Ep 52LF52 Adam Taggart – Living With Purpose

E

Unfulfilled by your job? Wish that the work you do on a daily basis was more aligned with the person you really are? You are not alone. In fact, a majority of workers would chose a different career path if given the chance. The reasons are varied. Some simply experience a bad fit with the career that fate steered them into. Many others, however, fear that their expertise (or lack of it) will have little or no relevance in a future shaped by increasing financial crises, energy shortages and environmental collapse. But the reality is, most people don’t take the steps to find a more meaningful path. The potential life upheaval and uncertainty that can come with a full-scale career transition often prove too daunting and overwhelming for most people, and so they resign themselves to a future of lowered expectations and simply enduring their job. It doesn’t have to be this way. In his new book Finding Your Way to Your Authentic Career, Peak Prosperity’s Adam Taggart shows how, through a process of self-discovery, we can break the unfulfilling patterns of the past and align our work with our passions, natural abilities, and values. The profound problems that the World is facing will ensure that the next twenty years will be completely unlike the last twenty years. Jobs for life are gone. Cosy career paths are rapidly becoming things of the past. But with challenge comes opportunity. Change is on its way, but how we face it – or even embrace it – will have far-reaching effects on our future wealth, health, and happiness. www.peakprosperity.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Tangerine Dream ‘Le Parc’

Ep 51LF51 Samuel Alexander – Entropia: Life Beyond Industrial Civilisation

E

Samuel Alexander discusses his new book Entropia: Life Beyond Industrial Civilisation. When industrial civilisation collapsed in the third decade of the 21st century, a community living on a small island in the South Pacific Ocean found itself permanently isolated from the rest of the world. With no option but to build a self-sufficient economy with very limited energy supplies, this community set about creating a simpler way of life that could flourish into the deep future. Determined above all else to transcend the materialistic values of the Old World, they made a commitment to live materially simple lives, convinced that this was the surest path to genuine freedom, peace, and sustainable prosperity. Seven decades later, in the year 2099, Entropia describes the results of their remarkable living experiment. Ep 50LF50 Kingsley Dennis – The Struggle For Your Mind

E

Kingsley Dennis discusses his book The Struggle for Your Mind: Conscious Evolution and the Battle to Control How We Think. Within society there exists a silent war. The battlefield is our everyday lives: our education, our work, our leisure, our emotional and spiritual well-being, and our thinking and perceptions. Our very sense of reality is deliberately engineered to work against conscious evolution and preserve social norms. In short, we are all part of a war of consciousness. And the opportunity is at hand for us to win. Exploring the biology of consciousness, Kingsley reveals the emerging mechanisms for neuro-genetic evolution within the brains of gifted individuals, psychics, and visionaries and the coming increases in solar and magnetic energies that will activate them within all of us. Explaining how we can free up mental and emotional energy to break through the barriers inhibiting conscious evolution, he shows that by taking back our minds and changing the way we think, we can restore our connection with Nature and the Divine and lead humanity into a new age of harmony and awareness. www.kingsleydennis.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Tangerine Dream ‘Glaeken’s Quest’

Ep 49LF49 Dr. Malcolm Torry – Why We Need A Citizen’s Income

E

Dr. Malcolm Torry discusses his new book Money For Everyone – Why We Need A Citizen’s Income. Due to government cuts, the benefits system in the UK is currently a hot topic. In this timely book, a Citizen’s Income (sometimes called a Basic Income) is defined as an unconditional, non-withdrawable income for every individual as a right of citizenship. Money for Everyone is the first book for over a decade to analyse the social, economic and labour market advantages of a Citizen’s Income. It demonstrates that it would be simple and cheap to administer, would reduce inequality, enhance individual freedom and would be good for the economy, social cohesion, families, and the employment market. The book also contains international comparisons and links with broader issues around the meaning of poverty and inequality, making a valuable contribution to the debate around benefits. Whether you’re capitalist, socialist, somewhere in between or even beyond, you may believe the very idea of a Citizen’s Income to be variously unworkable, unaffordable, unethical or some combination thereof. However, in a world of growing poverty and inequality, spiralling military spending, banks too big to fail and the Ponzi scheme of debt-based fiat currency, it is perhaps worth looking again at how we could radically improve the lot of the many through more inventive and imaginative economic systems. Dr. Malcolm Torry is Director of the Citizen’s Income Trust; he has first degrees in mathematics, theology, philosophy, and economics and management; and higher degrees in social policy and in theology. He has recently completed an honorary research fellowship in the Social Policy Department at the London School of Economics. They see that the world is entering an age of ecological collapse, material contraction and social and political unravelling, and feel that our cultural responses should reflect this reality rather than denying it. The Project grew out of a feeling that contemporary art and literature were failing to respond honestly or adequately to the scale of our entwined ecological, economic and social crises. Ep 396LF47 Paul Rosenberg – The Seasons of Empire

E

Paul Rosenberg of Freeman’s Perspective discusses the rise and fall of civilizations. Over the ages, great civilizations and mighty empires have come and gone in a remarkably similar pattern. From Sumer to Egypt, from Greece to Rome, all have crashed from triumph to tragedy. The British built the largest empire in history, only to see it disintegrate in the aftermath of war. Since then, the USA has assumed the mantle of the World’s dominant power, winning a war of attrition against the former Soviet Union whilst waging real and increasingly bloody wars for resources across the globe. But are the days of the American Empire numbered? Has it fallen prey to corruption, greed, hubris and arrogance like so many before it? Is a new power waiting in the wings to take its place, or does the decline of US hegemony mark the beginning of the end of industrial civilization as we know it? If so, what – if anything – can we do about it? Freeman’s Perspective is unlike any newsletter you’ve ever read. There’s no stock picking, no economic analysis and they don’t get bogged down in analyzing the lies and doublespeak of politicians. It’s not theory but practical, actionable strategies for finding clarity in an unclear world. The realms being revealed by Remote Viewing are taking us even further down the rabbit hole where the meaning of time, space and matter dissolve, and all physical reality may be merely an artifact of observation. Topics discussed include: Hugh Everett, quantum physics, holographic reality, extra-terrestrial life, mainstream scientific scepticism and bias, Remote Viewing in civilian and military spheres, multiple universes – multiple timelines, psychology, evolution, Atlantis, and God. Remote Viewing is a trainable mental procedure that can assist a person in obtaining accurate and detailed information from distant locations and across time. Ep 44LF44 Mike Berners-Lee – The Burning Question

E

Mike Berners-Lee discusses The Burning Question, a book co-authored with Duncan Clark. Climate change is the most fascinating scientific, political and social puzzle of our time. Great minds, enthusiastic leaders and green warriors have all tried to tackle the problem, but so far the world’s efforts at reducing global warming have failed. We do our best to save energy and technologies have made burning fuels more efficient, but the simple fact is carbon emissions are still accelerating upwards, following an exponential curve that goes back centuries. Like squeezing a balloon, reductions in one place lead to increases elsewhere. The real barrier to action is that the world has far more fossil fuel in its reserves than it can safely burn – at least twice as much and perhaps ten times as much. These reserves are worth tens of trillions of dollars and solving the problem means persuading the world to abandon them. The Burning Question asks whether that’s possible and what the side effects might be. Would the global economy sink and oil companies crash as the ‘carbon bubble’ bursts? Or could we transition smoothly to a green future? Looking at the whole issue from a fresh perspective, The Burning Question argues that global warming can still be tackled, but only if humankind wakes up to the threat and demands that the fuels stay in the ground. www.burningquestion.info www.sw-consulting.co.uk www.duncanclark.net Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ John Carpenter ‘Christine OST’

Ep 395LF43 Andrew Collins – The Cygnus Mystery

E

Andrew Collins discusses his book The Cygnus Mystery – Unlocking the Ancient Secret of Life’s Origins in the Cosmos. For 17,000 years the constellation of Cygnus, the celestial swan, otherwise known as the Northern Cross, has fascinated the world. It has defined the layout of ancient stone and earthen structures both in the new world and ancient world. Its cruciform star pattern is probably behind the root symbols of major religions, including Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Orphism. Cygnus might even have defined the placement on the ground of the Pyramids of Giza. Why has this one constellation had such an impact on humanity? The answers provided by Andrew are ground-breaking, suggesting that in addition to its importance as the marker of the north celestial pole 17,000 years ago, Cygnus’s placement on the Milky Way made it easy to imagine as the destination of souls in death, and the centre of our cosmological universe. Beyond this is the sheer possibility that inbound cosmic rays from the Cygnus constellation might well have been influencing human evolution for tens of thousands of years, a fact somehow dimly recognised by our distant ancestors. Ep 42LF42 Fred Alan Wolf – Time Loops and Space Twists

E

Dr. Fred Alan Wolf discusses some of the ideas and concepts explored in his book Time Loops and Space Twists. In his most important work since Taking the Quantum Leap, Fred explains how our understanding of time, space and matter have changed in just the last few years and how within these new ideas we have a glimpse into the ‘mind of God’. Making comparisons to Hindu Vedic and Judeo-Christian cosmology, he explains how the universal command of the Deity ‘Let there be light’ now takes on a new scientific meaning: Everything is literally made of light, and the reader will learn how quantum physics proves this is so. Quantum physics can be daunting to the lay person, but Fred has simplified and made these abstract concepts very comprehensible. He uses the wisdom from science and challenges our thoughts on religion while reminding us of true spirituality. His approach leads us to a new view of how consciousness and science are related. Dr. Wolf is a physicist, writer, and lecturer who earned his Ph.D. in theoretical physics at UCLA in 1963. Peter Russell discusses the crumbling barriers between science and spirituality, and what contemporary research may be telling us about the origin and nature of consciousness. Western science has had remarkable success in explaining the functioning of the material world, but when it comes to the inner world of the mind, it has very little to say. And when it comes to consciousness itself, science falls curiously silent. There is nothing in physics, chemistry, biology, or any other science that can account for our having an interior world. In a strange way, scientists would be much happier if minds did not exist. Yet without minds there would be no science. This ever-present paradox may be pushing Western science into what Thomas Kuhn called a paradigm shift – a fundamental change in worldview. Peter is one of the leading thinkers on consciousness and contemporary spirituality and author of a number of books including From Science to God: A Physicist’s Journey into the Mystery of Consciousness, Waking Up in Time: Finding Inner Peace in Times of Accelerating Change and The Global Brain: The Awakening Earth in a New Century. He believes that the critical challenge today is to free human thinking from the limited beliefs and attitudes that lie behind so many of our problems – personal, social, and global. His mission is to distil the essential wisdom on human consciousness found in the world’s various spiritual traditions, and to disseminate their teachings on self-liberation in contemporary and compelling ways. Peter is a fellow of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, of The World Business Academy and of The Findhorn Foundation, and an Honorary Member of The Club of Budapest. www.peterrussell.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Tangerine Dream ‘Cloudburst Flight’

Ep 40LF40 Ian R Crane – Energy, Economics and Hidden Agendas

E

Former oilfield executive Ian R Crane has engaged industry sources and independent researchers to lay the foundations for his investigations into fracking – mining of shale and coal seam gas. Ian asks whether this ‘miracle’ of nature really will be the solution to our nation’s energy problems. Is it going to be the best thing for us since North Sea gas, or are there hidden dangers which could impact upon communities in ways which need open discussion? Across the UK, a backdrop of unemployment, national debt and austerity is creating a distraction from more long-term problems. While such issues will take decades to address, the potential hazards brewing in the background, which the wider public remain complacent about, are likely to take centuries to put right. Ian considers whether corporate profits are being put ahead of the health, safety and the well-being of our natural environment. We are subjected to increasing restrictions on food and health choices, all in the name of protecting us. We have more surveillance and monitoring to safeguard us, and further restrictions on the media are forthcoming. Are such actions justified, and considering our safety is supposedly paramount in these areas, will fracking be subjected to equal levels of caution? Our national debt has risen by 4%, from 82% to 86% of our Gross Domestic Product (GDP), despite all the austerity measures put in place – creating a trillion dollar debt. As economic experts will tell you, once it goes beyond 100% (UK debt greater than annual turnover) our problems will escalate. Is fracking a short-term gain for a long-term loss? A credit crunch turned into an environmental crunch, while bankers’ bonuses continue to increase? Meanwhile, Al-Qaeda are being fought and funded by the West at one and the same time, and yet the people of Britain just shrug their shoulders. Are we heading towards another World War, and if so, who actually is the enemy? Given the virtually unlimited resources supposedly available via fracking worldwide, will global peace break out, or will this represent the beach-head in the next battle for energy supremacy? Ian R Crane is an ex-oilfield executive who now lectures, writes and broadcasts on the geopolitical webs that are being spun; with particular focus on US Hegemony and the New World Order agenda for control of global resources. www.ianrcrane.com Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ Brad Fiedel ‘Terminator 2’ OST

Ep 39LF39 Paul Levy – Dispelling Wetiko: Breaking the Curse of Evil

E

Paul Levy discusses his book Dispelling Wetiko – Breaking the Curse of Evil. There is a contagious psycho-spiritual disease of the human soul, a parasite of the mind, that is currently manifesting itself in the form of unprecedented conflicts and crises on a global scale. This collective psychosis or mental virus – which Native Americans have called wetiko – covertly operates through the unconscious blind spots in the human psyche, rendering us oblivious to our own madness and compelling us to act against our own best interests. Wetiko distorts our perceptions by stealth and subterfuge, acting through us while simultaneously remaining hidden. Unconstrained by conventional laws of time and space, this ‘bug’ in the system deceives us by working with the projective tendencies of our mind to appear external to and other than ourselves. Thus, the conflicts and crises which threaten the collapse of political, social and economic systems, and perhaps even of the biosphere itself, are nothing less than a revelation of our own internal darkness, the side of our nature that we all too often deny. Quantum physics is now revealing to us the dreamlike nature of reality and, as with our dreams at night, events in the so-called waking world are symbolically reflecting a condition deep within the psyche of humanity. Drawing on insights from Jungian psychology, shamanism, alchemy, spiritual wisdom traditions, and personal experience, Levy shows us that hidden within the venom of wetiko is both a profound truth and an antidote, which once recognized can help us awaken and restore sanity to society. Whether wetiko destroys our species or catalyses a deeper process of global awakening depends upon recognizing what it is revealing to us about ourselves. Paul Levy is a pioneer in the field of spiritual emergence and an innovator in the field of dreaming. A Tibetan Buddhist practitioner for over thirty years, he has studied with some of the greatest spiritual masters of Tibet and Burma. He is the author of The Madness of George W Bush: A Reflection of Our Collective Psychosis, as well as Wetiko: The Greatest Epidemic Sickness Known to Humanity. www.awakeninthedream.com Other interviews with Paul Levy Bumper music: Cliff Martinez ‘Traffic OST’ The Damned ‘The Year of the Jackal’
