July is Disability Pride Month, and Kic community member Lauren McDonough does an outstanding job of not only raising awareness around disability, but mental health as well.

Lauren lost the lower half of both of her legs in a tragic incident in 2017 where she attempted to take her own life. Since then, Lauren has not only turned her life around in being a mental health advocate and ambassador for Beyond Blue and Liptember, but she has also been able to embrace her disability and spread the very important message that we can all make small changes to help support those with disabilities and make the world a more inclusive and accessible place.
