Journey to the Fringe

We take a look at the mass shooting in Nova Scotia that took place in April of 2020. This is the largest mass shooting in Canadian history and spans 13 hours in its entirety. We begin with a breakdown of the events that took place and left so many people dead. We then look at the perpetrator's past and some peculiarities about him. Finally we look at the RCMP and how it has acted both prior to, during, and after the mass shooting. There are a lot of questions that still require answers, but this is still a very interesting case and one you probably don't know the whole story on. This is a heavy episode. We talk with you today about animal mutilation. A long documented phenomenon whereby animals are found dead missing organs, bloodless, and surgical like incisions in the middle of a farmers field. We begin with a brief history, move onto famous cases, look at explanations for this phenomena and end with a truly depressing story of a corpse exhibiting the same characteristics as what is described above. Viewer discretion is advised as is not eating right before your listen. We begin this episode off with a discussion on the election that has just transpired in Peru (at the time of recording).

Today we are talking about the wide world of recycling, with a particular emphasis with the plague of plastic and the problems plastic provides. We begin our journey at the introduction of the plastic industry to a post-WW2 world and how much advertising pushed the plastic industry front and center. We then move to various attempts to deal with the plastic garbage and the obfuscation used to answer the issue. We then move to an international look and see have a brief glimpse of the international trade of "recyclable" materials. We finally finish off with a look at a few things you can do to help fix the problems the current system has created. Both of these sightings leave behind better filmed evidence than eye witness accounts and were a lot of fun to look at.
