Today on the show we tried a weird combination that "Weetabix" (the UK's version of Weetbix) claims is a great breakfast meal. That combo is Weetbix & Baked Beans.. Bizarre! We tried it and it was surprisingly not as bad as we expected. We then chatted about other odd breakfast foods. One person eats pancakes with mustard! That's a crime! We also chatted to a band from the Waikato, whose gear had been stolen (worth $100K). But they then found it all dumped on a farm, all in their original condition. Now that kids are back to school, everyone's at work, the morning routines and school drop-offs are getting hectic again! Jono's wife Jen spends a lot of time in the car in the morning dropping their two kids off at different schools, before having to come into work herself. How wonderful is that feeling on a Friday going into a long weekend... NOTHING BETTER! Today we deep-dived into a bit of a dilemma. A friend of someone we work with is a bridesmaid at her friend's wedding, but she has a bit of an issue with the groom. Should she advise her friend against marrying him? It's a bit of an awkward situation! Both of us also had a medical exam yesterday and we BOTH had shockers (in terms of urine samples... Whoops). Hellooooo! If you haven't seen or heard yet, an adorable little 5 year old boy from Christchurch, Angelou Brown, sent out a video to Dwayne The Rock Johnson as part of a campaign his family have been working on to end domestic violence. Angelou wanted The Rock to wear the tshirts they've had made that say "She Is Not Your Rehab" to spread this message to all his followers and fans. WELL, The Rock reposted Angelou's video last night with a beautiful message, and we chatted to Matt Brown (Angelou's dad) about this movement and The Rock's involvement. It's a very sweet and important story and a wonderful chat with Matt. On a slightly different note, Jono's daughter Poppy has a little obsession with insects. Once she wanted Jono to help her find a snail at 9.30pm, and now she's wanting him to help her build a worm farm. The issue is Jono has to find the worms and it's really not a task he's keen to do! How would you feel being in the ocean, trying to catch your own fish for dinner, surrounded by hungry sharks who are also after the same fish? And on top of that, being naked and being filmed for a TV show? Horrifying, we know. Today on the show Jono got into an internet hole of the "7 signs he's cheating" and so we then chatted to private investigator Julia Hartley Moore to see if those signs are actually legit, and my word it was juuuuuicy! Julia and her team are literally hired to see if their clients partners are cheating. Juicy stuff. While we were on the road to Kerikeri yesterday we met someone who met their partner after he tried to BREAK INTO HER CAR! And they're still together! So we wanted to see if anyone had met their partner in a more unusual way than that.
