The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) has been attacking common sense life protections for unborn children and their moms in a pro-life bill in the Kentucky house. We share an opinion piece written by a NCJW state lobbyist published in the Courier Journal. The distorted lies and propaganda in this opinion piece were repeated in house debate, so we reached out to the sponsor of the bill and the director of Kentucky Right to Life to offer our educational materials to help them respond to Jewish pro-abortion attacks on life and state representatives in the house. During the episode, we share Bonnie Chernin's rebuttal published in Renew America (her submission request to the Courier Journal was declined.) We also share the letter that the JPLF created to submit to the Journal; however, after learning that the editor has a history of declining pro-life pieces and submissions by out of state authors, we sent the letter to Kentucky Right to Life to educate Assembly members and to submit to the Journal, if possible. On 12.16.21, Rabbi Yehuda Levin invited us to be his guest on Levin@11 to discuss the rising number of abortions in the Orthodox communities and the proposed legislation in Israel to make abortion more accessible. We talk about Jewish law and the prohibition against abortion, and the misinformation campaign that has convinced even religious Jews that abortion is acceptable. On 10/12/21, the JPLF participated in a panel discussion about the University of Pittsburgh's involvement in human tissue and organ harvesting, distribution and experimentation. The panelists spoke of the horrors of fetal experimentation practices at the University of Pittsburgh. In this episode, we note that on this day in Jewish history three of the ten martyrs who are commemorated in special Yom Kippur prayers were killed. We explore the idea of righteous martyrdom in the context of Jewish law, which usually forbids destroying human life and preserving it at all costs. However, Jewish law finds that a Jew must sacrifice his or her life rather than succumb to idolatry, sexual sin or murder. So, it seems that Jewish abortionists who commit murder in the form of abortion have a reckoning to face at some point. Events in Jewish history lists include the most impactful happenings in the chronicled development of Judaism. The absence of legal abortion legislation in Israel on these lists needs to be rectified because the Jewish lives lost to legal abortion in Israel has and continues to have a huge impact on the demographic, social, financial and spiritual evolution of Jewish culture and religion. In this episode we focus on the challenges of educating Jewish abortion advocates. This episode explores the moral blindness that allows Hadassah Medical Center to benefit financially from pregnancy termination and human embryonic stem cell research. Despite chronic failures of human embryonic research to provide therapeutic applications, the Medical Center continues to accept research funding that destroys human embryos derived from their very busy IVF clinic. These activities at Hadassah Medical Center in Israel defy common sense in the light of the Jewish State's national security concerns and demographic challenges. Instead of killing Jewish babies, the infertile couples could adopt them! Samuel dies this day in Jewish history, so we examine his miracle conception, unlikely birth, and extraordinary life. What about all the babies who never are born because they die in an abortion? The holiday of Shavuos is when Jews celebrate the anniversary of receiving the Torah at Mt. Sinai. To prepare for this holy day, we follow up on a suggestion from yesterday's chat to highlight the miracle of life, given by the Almighty Creator who gave us the holy book of life, the Torah. Also, from yesterday's show, a story we shared about the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) providing 1000 free abortions last year. If the Israeli government only offers killing Jewish children as the solution to unplanned pregnancy, we need to provide outreach for adoption and pregnancy care to these parents. Adoption is life saving, and needs to be offered immediately to vulnerable parents, whether they are IDF soldiers or financially distressed couples or homeless women. We share a heartwarming story about a woman dying of cancer whose twin sons, whom she had placed for adoption as infants, reunite with her at her bedside. The Jewish community has two long established adoption agencies, Embrace a Jewish Child and the Jewish Children's Adoption Network. Also, the Jewish Pro-Life Foundation maintains a list of couples who have reached out to us looking to adopt Jewish infants. We pray to reach abortion minded Jewish women and to save their children from a painful, unnecessary death - and save their Mothers from a broken heart. When one parent rejects adoption and insists on abortion, we can still encourage the other parent to intercede and offer adoption in the hope that it will be accepted. This episode sheds light on a very sinister time in history when abortion was weaponized against Jews in ghettos in Nazi occupied territories. Decree of 1942: Pregnancy in the ghetto is forbidden. Every pregnancy must be terminated. A pregnancy may be carried to full term only by women who are in the eighth or ninth month. Beginning in September, a total ban is placed on births. Women who are pregnant will be executed. In Lithuania on this day in Jewish history, Jewish doctors in the Kovno ghetto were forced to abide by the decree. They were told that if they terminated the pregnancies, the mothers' lives would be spared. Under duress and because of this deception, the rabbis agreed to allow this violation of the Torah's prohibition of abortion to save the mothers' lives. Tragically, the women were murdered not long afterward. The 'save the mother's life exception' to the prohibition of abortion in Judaism is commonly misused to this day to allow killing children in the womb. In our time, a mother's life is rarely in danger from a pregnancy, yet, the lie justifies the child's destruction. Occasionally, women die from abortion, and many suffer physical damage and spiritual death afterwards. In this episode, we share beautiful life affirming messages from two righteous rabbis who provide Torah based arguments against the utilitarian approach to medicine taken by the UK National Health Service. In this episode, we examine how Torah is misused by Jewish abortion advocates to justify unlimited abortion rights. In this episode, we investigate the diabolical connections between the abortion industry and sex trafficking. We turn to Jaco Booyens, whose sister was trafficked, which compelled him to uncover the evils of sex trafficking. Our Christian friends have a long tradition of providing church based practical and moral support to mothers, fathers, and their unborn children. Torah commands us to provide help to the widow and orphan. Following this principle, we need to establish similar programs in our synagogues and in our communities that offer practical and moral support to Jewish mothers, fathers and their unborn children. We look at two articles that offer examples of this type of outreach. The first contends that when Roe v Wade is overturned, pro-life advocates will need to ramp up outreach efforts, so it is vitally. important to have these systems in place now. The second article highlights Good Council Homes, a church based haven for homeless pregnant women in NYC. Good Council Homes accommodates Jewish clients with Jewish supportive services. Why do so many Jews support and practice unrestricted abortion despite our tragic history as a people targeted for genocide?
