S1 Ep 21INTERVIEW: Charity that helps 3-year olds recover from sexual abuse.
When you think of 3-year olds, 5-year old, 7-year olds etc, you think why would anyone sexual abuse something so kind and innocent? And another question is, how could anyone even get aroused by doing such a thing? But whilst we’re asking those questions, it’s actually happening in real life, so I’ve brought a charity called Brave Futures onto my podcast who work with these children to give them a better life.Caroline speaks about the techniques they use with children as young as 3-years old, the challenges of doing a job like this and much more. To anyone that does this job. S1 Ep 20DISCUSSION: Is porn turning teenage boys aggressive?
Alcohol, cigarettes and films have age restrictions on them, but when it comes to pornography, everything changes. We’ve now got 13-year old boys watching hours of extreme content, like girls being gagged so forcefully during oral that they can hardly breathe. And all of this before these boys have even kissed a girl in real life. How is this changing their brains?I’ve reviewed an article from The Guardian newspaper that tells of a rise in teenage sex offences where immoral, abusive and non-consensual behaviour is happening and the boys are putting it down to, ‘well, they do it in porn videos, so what’s the problem?’.The Guardian article - https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/sep/26/pornography-driving-teens-child-abuse-material-charities-policeLucy Faithful Foundation - https://www.lucyfaithfull.org.ukAs you can see from my platforms, I’m involved in many activities from speaking in schools, creating YouTube videos, releasing podcast episodes, running the Something to Say platforms and much more.My aim is to create something for everyone. S1 Ep 19DISCUSSION: Sexual abuse can feel nice
This is shocking I know. But I want to speak more on this. There are many situations where force and violence are not used. It can be gentle, considered as caring, making the child feel like they are doing a good thing by letting the adult touch them in between their legs.Think about 5-years olds, 7-year olds etc, still so vulnerable, and I know this is uncomfortable, but if we don’t start unpacking the reality of this, we stand no chance. Please support this podcast by leaving a review on your podcast app. This has to be a team effort if we stand any chance of success. For more information see website's below. S1 Ep 18INTERVIEW: Teenagers having sex whilst still confused on consent
If your hooking up with someone for the first time - maybe at a party or a night out - how would you get consent? Pull out a contract and ask them to sign it? Ask every 5-minutes ‘is it still a yes’?Confusing right? And we’re the adults here, now imagine what it’s like to be a teenager, with the added pressure of schools telling you one thing, the law saying something else and the reality of the situation being completely different from both of these. Dr. Emily Setty talks about all of this in this podcast episode.Emily's linksTwitter: https://twitter.com/emilysettyEmail: [email protected]: https://www.surrey.ac.uk/people/emily-settyGuidance for educators document: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14K8VwMaleoV4jS4n-gtQLzttX8afXo4G/viewMore information on Jeremy Indika: https://jeremyindika.com/ Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 17REACTION: Sex trafficking survivor speaks

S1 Ep 16INTERVIEW: Is paedophilia in the brain from birth?
I’ve interviewed Dr. James Cantor, an internationally recognised sex researcher, neuroscientist and psychologist. He discussed his findings with paedophilia (when someone’s arousal comes from children) and how we stand the best chance, as a society, of ensuring the crime never happens in the first place. And before anyone says ‘just kill em’, I’m not talking about our options AFTER the crime’s been committed, I’m talking about BEFORE. Can we reach that person when they’re a teenager, or even as soon as they start thinking about hurting a child for the first time. And if you’re still saying ‘just kill em’, what are you actually suggesting here? That we go round holding a gun to everyone’s head asking if they think about children? The man that had my 8-year old penis in his mouth did this for the first time to somebody. Where was everyone before he got to that person? All shouting ‘kill em’ - that did absolutely NOTHING to help me, or any of his other victims. Take a listen to this podcast episode. You don’t have to agree with it. But as long as we can explore all avenues we can at least start moving towards protecting the children of today.Dr. James Cantor info.Website - http://www.jamescantor.orgTwitter - https://twitter.com/JamesCantorPhDBio - Dr. James Cantor is an internationally recognized sex researcher. As a psychologist and neuroscientist, Dr. Cantor is known for his research on the development of atypical sexualities, including the causes of sexual orientation, gender identity, and diagnoses motivating sexual offenses. Over his career, Dr. Cantor has served as Senior Scientist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), on the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Toronto, and as Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed journal Sexual Abuse. Dr. Cantor is no stranger to controversial topics and the science behind them: CBC produced a full-length documentary about his research, and interviews with him have appeared on BBC, CNN, and The New York Times. He and his work are routinely cited in legal proceedings in court cases throughout Canada and the U.S. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 15REACTION: Paedophile's speak out in new documentary
Paedophile’s ask why we only get involved once they’ve offended. They’re asking why nobody answers their calls for help before it happens, why no therapist, no counsellor will work with them, leaving them to their own devices where offending becomes much more likely. How are you feeling as you read this? Whatever your emotions are, I urge you to go check out my new podcast episode where I review a documentary that questions, if as a society, we are serious about the safety of children, why the hell are we so focused on punishment? By that point it’s too late, the crime has already happened, where we we in all the stages that led up to it, working towards prevention. This documentary is going to blow your mind. I still can’t stop thinking about it. It challenged me in so many ways. S1 Ep 14REACTION: Can you mix comedy and child sexual abuse?
Does comedy have a place here or not? Can it be used to break the heaviness of this conversation and help it reach new audiences? This comedian, Jonny Pelham goes around the country making jokes about his own story to lighten the load. I go through his work in my new podcast episode. S1 Ep 12DISCUSSION: Sex offenders and the death penalty
I believe the majority of us would respond with "YES" to this question, but I don't think it's as simple as that. As we look closer, there are many things to consider, for example, what happens if the offender was your son.To supportMerchandise: https://somethingtosayofficial.comPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/SomethingtoSayDonate: https://jeremyindika.com/donate/ Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 11INTERVIEW: Ex-police officer speaks on prosecuting paedophiles
Child abuse is one of the most horrific crimes that can be committed, and the people who are tasked with investigating and prosecuting it face enormous challenges and risks. In this episode of the Jeremy Indika Podcast, Jeremy speaks with Mike Brewer, who is a retired detective sergeant and who has had experience dealing with child abuse cases, especially those involving paedophiles. Mike shares his insights on the nature and extent of this problem, the difficulties in gathering evidence and bringing perpetrators to justice, and the emotional and psychological impact of his work on himself and his colleagues. He also discusses the importance of raising awareness and educating the public about this issue, and how they can help prevent and report child abuse. As much as we, the public, tend to quickly judge police officers and the work they do, especially when we feel that it isn't good enough, it is important to understand that at the end of the day, they are human and it takes a lot to do this kind of job. This is a grippingly powerful and eye-opening conversation that will make you appreciate the courage and dedication of those who protect our children from harm. Don’t miss this episode.I hope you are finding the videos on my channel engaging. To follow more of my work, see link https://jeremyindika.com Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 10DISCUSSION: Liam's touching his cousins private parts.
We all know that kids love to play together, and it's great for their self-esteem. Being active and using their imagination helps them grow. We watch them play and think everything's fine, right? They seem very active and happy! But here's something to think about: imagine a 7-year-old named Liam and his cousin. They came up with a game that wasn't appropriate, and they kept it a secret from the grown-ups for years. This short story makes us wonder about what children may be exposed to without us knowing and how it can affect them as they grow up.Take a moment to listen to this story. It's a quick one, but it brings up some important aspects about our role as adults in understanding what kids experience behind our backs. It can impact not just their behaviour but also their state of mind. Now, we'd love to hear your thoughts! Let's start a conversation and share our ideas. S1 Ep 9REACTION: Onlyfans model abused by mother
Being repeatedly abused by your own mother throughout your childhood. Monica explains how her career on OnlyFans is giving her the attention and validation that she never got when she was a girl. S1 Ep 8REACTION: Young and vulnerable teenage girls
When you reflect on how you were as a teenager, eager to impress and looking for attention, you start to remember how vulnerable that stage of your life was. In fact, it’s quite scary to think, you honestly believed that you knew everything at that age.I’ve now learnt how that attitude leaves a teenager open. Open to manipulation by adults who want to take advantage of them, especially online. In my new podcast episode, I review a video from author Gavin de Becker, who explains a teenagers nature in more detail, why this is leaving them exposed and what we can do to help them.To watch the original video, click here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHoRiv8tdtM&t=0sTo find Gavin De Becker, click here - https://gdba.com Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 7DISCUSSION: Both sides of the Dalai Lama discussion
I'm worried about doing this. It's a discussion that's become hugely charged from both sides. Some people calling for the Dalai Lama to be prosecuted for his actions, whilst others saying how dare you accuse someone who's devoted their life to kindness of such crimes. After seeing how things have played out since the video clip of him asking the boy to suck his tongue went hugely viral all over the internet, I wanted to see if I could present both sides of the discussion so that we could talk about it together. Because if we can't talk about these things then how are we going to get anywhere with any of it. S1 Ep 6INTERVIEW: Monitoring sex offenders after prison - Beth Hoel
This is a job that no one wants but thankfully there are people out there that are doing it. Imagine waking up every morning knowing that your day is going to be filled with visiting offenders to ensure they are not re-offending.Beth Hoel spent 25-years working with prisoners who had served their sentence and were now released back into the community. She explains some of the things she learnt along the way. Thank you to everyone out there who does these jobs. We are grateful to you.Beth's links and bio,Website: www.bhgconsultinggroup.comYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/@bethandmissytalk...8357 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bhgconsultinggroup/ Beth Hoel spent nearly 25 years with the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department in Phoenix, Arizona. While working with the probation department, Beth spent the vast majority of that time supervising sexual offenders. Throughout her career, Beth became an expert in the field while honing her skills at assessing risk, identifying an offender’s driver and focusing on rebuilding the entire person. Instead of focusing on just the offence and the conditions of supervision, Beth developed a holistic and collaborative approach to supervision. Today, Beth utilises those same skills as an objective third-party without the constraints of governmental red tape. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 5DISCUSSION: Safeguarding issues with my presentation
There’s problems with my school presentation. People are surrounding me with red tape telling me I need to do this and need to do that. Why do us adults complicate everything? I can engage a room full of teenagers into something that traditional classroom techniques cannot. That should be enough. For more information on my work see www.jeremyindika.com Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 4DISCUSSION: Would you teach your child about private areas before it's too late?

S1 Ep 3REACTION: Should paedophile's spend their life in prison? - GMB
Obviously, our answer to this is YES. But this lawyer comes onto national TV to explain why it's not possible. There are 100,000 convicted sex offenders currently on the register (walking our streets), and to put them all in prison for life would come at an astronomical cost that no one is prepared to pay for. Alongside the fact that our prison capacity is 85,000 and it’s already full with other criminals. First things first, we hope they can stop themselves from re-offending, otherwise we’re doomed as their prison sentence finishes and they’re released back into our society.
