Ep 1294The Real Test of Our Faith Standing Against Oppression
How have we come to a time where injustice is normalized, oppression is excused, and truth is silenced? This sharp contrast has shaken us again this week when a Palestinian activist, Mahmoud Khalil, is detained without charge, torn from his family, his rights stripped away for speaking out against oppression. On the other, criminals convicted of drug offenses are freed without question, because their release was requested by the powerful. A system. A world built on hypocrisy, where power dictates justice, and oppression is rewarded. And where do we, as Muslims, stand? Are we among those who watch in silence, or are we fulfilling our divine duty to uphold justice? Listen to the Sheik as he explains what our responsibility is to standing against oppression.
Ep 1293Justice and Ihsan The Key to Revival
Every Jumu'ah, as the khutbah concludes, we hear the powerful verse from Surah An-Nahl (16:90): “Indeed, Allah commands justice, excellence, and giving to relatives, and He forbids immorality, wrongdoing, and oppression. He admonishes you so that you may take heed.” This is not merely a verse we hear at the end of Jumu’ah. Join the Sheik as he navigates us to understanding our responsibilities.
Ep 1292Taraweeh Teachings Day 13- Path to Forgiveness: Allah(swt)’s Invitation
What if all your sins could be erased? What if every mistake, every moment of disobedience, every transgression against Allah could be wiped away? Would you not run toward that opportunity? Allah(swt), known as Al-Ghaffar, the Most Forgiving, the Ever-Merciful, calls out to us—promising His forgiveness, but on one condition: This is our moment! Let’s Listen and find out that condition. Ep 1291Ramadan Reflection Day 12- The Day That Defined Islam’s Destiny– Dr. Abdul Wahid
What if the Battle of Badar had never been won? Imagine a world where the Quraysh had crushed the small band of believers, where Islam had never taken root. There would be no Ramadan as we know it, no masajid filled with the echoes of Tarawih, no call to prayer resounding across the lands. Badar was not just a battle—it was the day that determined the fate of Islam So ask yourself: Will you carry the legacy of Badar? Will you rise when Islam calls? Or will you sit back, waiting for someone else to take action? Join this short podcast and discuss how Badar is our history, Badar is our reality and most importantly Badar is our future! Ep 1290Ramadan Reflection Day 11- Stand Firm Against Mockery– Dr. Abdul Wahid
Ramadan Reflection Day 11- Stand Firm Against Mockery– Dr. Abdul Wahid Mockery, humiliation, rejection—these were the brutal challenges the Prophet ﷺ faced in the early years of his mission. Yet, in the face of such torment, Allah revealed a powerful command: Proclaim the truth and turn away from those who mock you. Surah Al-Hijr reminds us that every messenger sent to guide humanity was met with ridicule—from Nuh (AS) to Musa (AS) to Isa (AS). Their people mocked them, belittled them, and resisted the divine message. But in every case, Allah’s promise held true—those who opposed the truth were ultimately defeated. This message is for us today. As we see Islam mocked and attacked in our time, as we face opposition for upholding the truth, do we hesitate? Do we soften our stance? Or do we stand as the Prophet ﷺ did—fearless, unwavering, relying on Allah alone? Source: https://www.instagram.com/abdulwahid101010/reel/DHC-xkDRbZs/
Ep 1289Taraweeh Teachings Day 12- Surround Yourself with Those Who Bring You Closer to Allah
Taraweeh Teachings Day 12- Surround Yourself with Those Who Bring You Closer to Allah Who do you keep in your company? Who do you surround yourself with? Allah commands the Prophet ﷺ—and us—to stay with those who call upon Him, day and night, seeking His pleasure and His mercy. So ask yourself: Who do you walk with? Where are they leading you? Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVSTmcNdSVw
Ep 1288Taraweeh Teachings Day 10- The White Hair Surahs
Islam has never been an easy path. From the time of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to today, carrying this message has always come with trials, opposition, and struggle. Surah Hud and Surah Yunus stand as a powerful reminder—a reminder so profound that the Prophet ﷺ himself said they caused his hair to turn white. Find out Why?! Ep 1287Taraweeh Teachings Day 9- The Greatest Gift- A Reason to Rejoice Beyond This World
Taraweeh Teachings Day 9- The Greatest Gift- A Reason to Rejoice Beyond This World What is worth celebrating in this life? Wealth, success, material achievements? Allah tells us in Surah Yunus (Ayah 57-58) that true joy lies elsewhere. "O mankind! There has come to you an instruction from your Lord, a healing for what is in the hearts, a guidance, and a mercy for the believers. Say: In the bounty of Allah and His mercy—let them rejoice in that. It is better than whatever they accumulate." (Yunus 57-58) Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJ-qD-zE-YM
Ep 1286Ramadan Reflection Day 10- A Warning We Cannot Ignore– Dr. Abdul Wahid
Ramadan Reflection Day 10- A Warning We Cannot Ignore– Dr. Abdul Wahid In Islam, how much does it take to be counted among the wrongdoers? Standing beside them? Aiding them? What if merely inclining towards them is enough to bring the wrath of Allah? In Surah Hud, Allah warns: "Do not incline towards those who do wrong, lest the Fire touch you. And you will have no protector besides Allah, nor shall you be helped." This is a terrifying warning—one that we must reflect on deeply. Where do we stand? Are we truly on the side of justice, or have we unknowingly inclined toward oppression? Source: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DHBNwZax5gf/
Ep 1285Ramadan Reflection Day 9- Zakat and the Role of Leadership– Dr. Abdul Wahid
Ramadan is a time when many rush to give sadaqah and pay their zakat, seeking the immense rewards promised by Allah. But have we forgotten a crucial aspect of this obligation? Source: https://www.instagram.com/abdulwahid101010/reel/DG8I7bGxY4f/
Ep 1284Ramadan Reflection Day 8- Breaking the Gender Wars – Dr. Abdul Wahid
In a world where men and women are increasingly set against each other, battling in so-called "gender wars," we are reminded of an eternal truth—Allah (SWT) has already defined our roles, our purpose, and our relationship with one another. Last night’s recitation from Surah At-Tawbah revealed a perspective completely different from the confrontational, divisive mindset we see today. Join in and learn how we can understand and embrace it.
Ep 1283Taraweeh Teachings Day 8- Islam’s Foreign Policy
Taraweeh Teachings Day 8- Islam’s Foreign Policy We live in an age where fundamental concepts of Islam are either distorted, redefined, or erased altogether. Join the speaker in understanding Jihad for what it truly is. Stand firm in carrying Islam the way it pleases Allah (SWT), not the way it pleases the world. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xemwe3otsbw
Ep 1282Ramadan Reflection Day 7- The High Cost of Disunity– Dr. Abdul Wahid
Allah (SWT) warns us in Surah Al-Anfal that when Muslims fail to support one another, the consequences are not just internal strife, but global chaos—fitna and fasad spreading across the earth. Look around—war, corruption, bloodshed, and oppression fill the world. The past century has been the bloodiest in human history, and what has been missing? The unity of the Ummah. Will we be the generation that reclaims unity? Or will we let history repeat itself? Source: https://www.instagram.com/abdulwahid101010/reel/DG4otezRDGj/
Ep 1281Silent or Standing- The Test of Truth in Ramadan
Ramadan is more than just fasting—it is a test of our faith, our resilience, and our unwavering commitment to Allah’s commands. As we pass the 7th day Taraweeh, we are reminded of the powerful lesson in Surah Al-A’raf, where Allah (SWT) recounts the story of the people of Saturday (Sabbath), divided into three groups: those who transgressed, those who remained silent, and those who stood for truth. With state of the Ummah today, which category do we fall into? Are we among those complicit in injustice? Are we among those silent in the face of oppression? Are we among those who rise for the truth, speak against injustice, and stand for Islam?
Ep 1280The Ummah's Forgotten Shield
We stand in the blessed month of Ramadan, a time of fasting, reflection, and devotion to Allah (SWT). The Prophet ﷺ taught us that fasting is a shield, protecting us from Hellfire—but is that the only shield we need? Join the Sheik as he discusses the shield that protects our families, our communities, our dignity and much more.
Ep 1279Ramadan Reflection Day 6- A Message to All of Mankind—Will You Answer the Call?
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was not sent for one tribe, one nation, or one time—he was sent as a messenger to all of humanity. Unlike the prophets before him who addressed their own people, he was commanded to declare: “O mankind, I am the Messenger of Allah sent to you all.” This was not just an invitation—it was a divine proclamation from the Creator of the heavens and the earth. But the question remains: Have we truly embraced the message? Have we submitted to the One who owns all creation? Have we followed the Prophet ﷺ as he was meant to be followed? Source: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DG2_5dRRUMC/
Ep 1278Taraweeh Teachings Day 6- The Mercy of Allah (swt)
Reflecting on the vast mercy of Allah(swt), we are reminded that His(swt) compassion precedes His(swt) wrath. He(swt) has written upon Himself to be merciful, and His mercy encompasses all of creation. Out of the 100 portions of mercy, only one has been placed in this world—evident in the love between a mother and child, the kindness among animals, and the bonds of humanity. The remaining 99 are reserved for the Day of Judgment. Should we rely on anyone other than Allah, the One who provides and is not in need of provision? Should we not fear the punishment of straying from His command? Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36rYm07HkAk
Ep 1277Ramadan Reflection Day 5- 2025 Dr Abdul Wahid
Islam is not just a faith—it is a complete and perfected way of life. On the Day of Arafah, during the Prophet’s ﷺ last Hajj, Allah revealed a powerful ayah declaring that Islam had been completed, His(swt) blessings upon us finalized, and His(swt) pleasure found in our adherence to this divine system. Yet, knowing this, are we truly implementing Islam in our lives? Will we take Islam as our full way of life, or will we reduce it to mere belief without action? Source: https://www.instagram.com/abdulwahid101010/reel/DG0pAVFRolV/
Ep 1276Taraweeh Teachings Day 5-The Price of Paradise
Imagine standing before Allah, trying to offer everything—wealth, status, even the entire world—to escape the punishment of Hellfire, only to realize that no ransom will be accepted. Islam provides a clear, simple path to avoid hellfire and attain Jannah: submission to Allah alone, free from nationalism, tribalism, or pride in anything other than being a Muslim. Yet, we have allowed divisions to shatter our unity, labeling ourselves by nationality or lineage instead of embracing the identity that Allah has given us—Muslims. Ep 1274Ramadan Reflection Day 3- 2025 Dr Abdul Wahid
The Power of Contemplation and Supplication The last ten verses of Surah Al-Imran are deeply profound and recommended by the Prophet ﷺ as part of our morning remembrance (adhkar). These ayat transition seamlessly from reflecting on Allah’s creation to invoking du’a and then witnessing Allah’s direct response. “Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of the night and day, are signs for those of understanding.” (Surah Al-Imran 3:190) The Qur’an repeatedly calls us to reflect on the natural world, using it as evidence of Allah’s existence. When true believers engage in this reflection, their hearts naturally turn to du’a—seeking forgiveness, mercy, and salvation. This dunya is a test—but Allah’s mercy is infinite. May we be among those who turn to Him with sincerity and receive His ultimate reward in the Hereafter. O Allah, accept our supplications, grant ease to the oppressed, and guide us on the straight path. Ameen! Source: https://www.instagram.com/p/DGvm5k2R_in/
Ep 1275Ramadan Reflection Day 4- 2025 Dr Abdul Wahid
Reflection on the 101st Anniversary of the Abolition of the Khilafah Today is the 4th day of Ramadan, 1446 AH / March 3, 2025—a date that marks 101 years since the abolition of the Ottoman Khilafah by Mustafa Kemal in Ankara. Last night, during Taraweeh, the Imam recited a powerful ayah from Surah Al-Imran (3:26): “Say, O Allah, Master of the Kingdom! You give sovereignty to whom You will and take sovereignty from whom You will; You honor whom You will and humble whom You will. In Your hand is all good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.” This ayah perfectly encapsulates the tragedy of our loss—but also our hope for the future. Ep 1273Ramadan Reflection Day 2- 2025 Dr Abdul Wahid
Ramadan Reflection Day 2- 2025 Dr Abdul Wahid The Power of "Hasbunallahu Wa Ni’mal Wakil" "Those to whom people said, ‘The enemy has gathered against you, so fear them,’ but it only increased them in faith, and they said: ‘Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.’"(Surah Al-Imran 3:173) This ayah captures a defining moment in Islamic history—after the Battle of Uhud, when the Quraysh planned another attack, hoping to crush the Muslims once and for all. Instead of succumbing to fear, the believers' Iman increased, and their response was absolute trust in Allah: "Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakil" (Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs). Islam is not just about hope—it is about action driven by unwavering faith. May we be among those who say "Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakil" with conviction and act accordingly. O Allah, strengthen our hearts, increase us in Iman, and grant victory to the oppressed Ummah! Ameen! Source: https://www.instagram.com/p/DGs9qkWxAje/
Ep 1272Taraweeh Teachings Day 4- Understanding the Role of Men & Women in Islam
Taraweeh Teachings Day 4- Understanding the Role of Men & Women in Islam In Surah An-Nisa, Allah lays down the framework for the relationship between men and women, particularly within marriage. This surah addresses responsibilities, rights, and the divine balance that Allah has created between the two genders. "Men are the protectors and maintainers (qawwamoon) of women, because Allah has made one excel over the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their wealth." (Surah An-Nisa 4:34) This does not imply superiority or control, but rather a responsibility of care, provision, and protection. This Ramadan, may we renew our commitment to following Allah’s commands in every aspect of our lives, including marriage and family life. Ameen! Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dhJCe3Uwkc
Ep 1271Taraweeh Teachings Day 3- Holding Fast to the Rope of Allah
Taraweeh Teachings Day 3- Holding Fast to the Rope of Allah One of the most powerful ayat in the Quran that defines the unity of the Muslim Ummah is: “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not be divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you—when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the brink of a pit of fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make His signs clear to you, so that you may be guided.” (Surah Aal Imran 3:103) This verse is a reminder to all Muslims that our unity is not based on nationality, race, or ethnicity, but on our adherence to Islam and the Quran. Let’s hold fast to the Rope of Allah, reject the divisions planted by our enemies, and revive the true spirit of Islamic brotherhood. Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KA70eTObp3g

Ep 1270Taraweeh Teachings Day 2- Divine Prescription for Life
In Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah prescribes actions for us, whether it is fasting, prayer, giving charity, or dealing with people. These commands are not just for ritual worship but for the establishment of a just and upright society. "Fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may attain taqwa (consciousness of Allah).” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183) Fasting is not just about abstaining from food and drink—it is about disciplining the soul, strengthening our connection with Allah(swt), and implementing ALL HIS(swt) divine guidance in our lives. Then what is the meaning of Patience (Sabr) if Islam Talks about Actions- Often, patience is misunderstood as remaining silent in the face of hardship, but in reality: Join in and find out the true meaning of Patience (Sabr) Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKwOF9SLkU4
Ep 1269Taraweeh Teachings Day 1- Connecting with the Quran
The first surah of the Quran begins with a powerful statement: “This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those who are conscious of Allah.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:2) This bold claim is unmatched in human literature—no book by any scholar or scientist begins with such an absolute statement. It is because the Quran is the direct word of Allah—error-free, containing complete guidance on how to live our lives, from worship to social dealings, business, family, and governance. It’s time to understand it deeply, implement it fully, and use it as our framework for life. Let’s return to the Quran—not just in Ramadan but always! Source: https://youtu.be/5lh2yyRaOWA?feature=shared
Ep 1268Ramadan Reflection 1- 2025 Dr Abdul Wahid
Last night during Taraweeh, a simple yet profound moment unfolded. The imam recited a short passage from Surah Al-Baqarah, including the ayah: “Establish the Salah, give the Zakah, and bow down with those who bow.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:43) Immediately upon reaching this command, he made takbir and went into ruku, and we all followed. This incident made Dr. Wahid reflect: Isn’t this how we should treat all of Allah’s commands? 🔹 When we hear “Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High”, we say Subhana Rabbiyal A‘la. 🔹 When we hear “Send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ”, we say Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammad. 🔹 But why don’t we apply the same principle to the rest of the Quran’s commands?
