On Saturday, March 14, I'm at Ironshield Brewing in Lawrenceville, GA. On Sunday, March 15, I'm at Three Taverns Brewery in Decatur, GA. You can come eat some humble pie with me… or at least toast a pint of beer with me. I'd love to meet you. DO YOU NEED A GUEST ON YOUR PODCAST? Next Week: The Women of Irish & Celtic Music I titled this episode "Slow Travel". Today, I got an email from VisitScotland.com. That's a website promoting Scottish tourism. Since I'm leading a Celtic Invasion Vacation to Loch Lomond in Scotland, I've been subscribed and seeing what they have to offer. Today, they shared an article and video about Slow Travel. And I highly recommend their newsletter. They seem to be leading the pack when it comes to promoting ecotourism and sustainable travel. Stuff I've slowly thought about. But they're really doing it in Scotland. So kudos! Let's get on with the show. VOTE IN THE CELTIC TOP 20 FOR 2022 This is our way of finding the best songs and artists each year. Maybe after Gen Con in Indianapolis, which is where I am currently performing. I was barely able to get this episode done in time. In the past, I needed their permission for each individual album that they released. That's rather confusing for most artists. So, I recently updated my permission form. When an artist submits their music now, That permission form is good until 2025. So all new music they submit can be played on the podcast. I am slowly reaching out to past artists on this show who have new music. But of course, there are hundreds of artists who were played on this podcast. If one of your favorite musicians has released a new album in the past five years, can you do us all a favor and ask them to submit their permission to the podcast. After you email them, drop me an email and tell me the name of the band. I will reach out to them and see if I can get their new music on the show. ATTN Celtic Musicians. It is because of you that I release this show almost every week. But I want to let you know about a big change this coming to the Song Hengers on Patreon. I started Song Henge in 2006. It was a way to support the podcast when amazing services like Patreon were not available. I sent Song Hengers an album per month of free MP3s from some of the artists on the show. I released 168 of those albums over the past 15 years thanks to the generosity of the musicians on this show. When I started the Patreon page, I continued that feature for everyone who pledged $5 or more per episode. There are over 60 albums currently available for Patrons. However, the world seems to be moving away from MP3s. So I decided to discontinue that service at the end of this year. It's time for a change. I still want something special for Song Hengers. That has finally come. Starting in August, Song Hengers will get a talk-free episode, much like the Sleepytime episode that was released in May. I'll introduce the show, you can listen to the music straight through for about an hour, then I'll remind listeners to look up the
