Jamie-Lee Tuuta, New Zealand - Integrative Lawyers of the World, S5, Ep.2

Jamie-Lee Tuuta (Ngai Tahu, Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri, Ngāti Toa Rangatira) is a collaborative and integrative lawyer from New Zealand. She is a barrister who specializes in Family Law and Māori Land Law. She is trained as collaborative practitioner and mediator. Jamie-Lee is involved in various kaupapa with the focus on improving justice outcomes for Whanau Māori. In this episode, she shares her legal journey and how she develops and applies her legal skills, such as her collaborative law training, to address social and economic inequality and improve the quality of life for everyone, particularly those who do not have the capacity to access the necessary services they need and deserve.
