Bonus: Harvey Proctor
EFour years ago former Tory MP Harvey Proctor was accused by a man the police called ‘Nick’ of sexually abusing him as a teenager. ‘Nick’ also accused Edward Heath, Leon Brittain and Field Marshall Lord Bramall of abusing him too. Harvey Proctor’s house was raided, he lost his job, his house and his livelihood. Iain interviewed him several times on LBC at the time and commissioned his book ‘Credible & True’. Eventually the Metropolitan Police admitted that Harvey had no case to answer and they launched criminal proceedings against ‘Nick’, real name Carl Beech. At the end of July he was found guilty of perverting the course of justice. Harvey Proctor’s story doesn’t end there. In midAugust Harvey came into the LBC studio.
