Show Notes

Disappointing other people feels  hard.  Full stop. It's hard.  We don't want to do this as women.  The part we miss thought is that it is also completely necessary.  Women are raised to be people pleasers.  We are raised to believe that it's our damn job to ensure that other people are happy.  Many of us neurodivergent women have experienced significant trauma and people pleasing becomes an involuntary trauma response.

That being said, disappointing people is something we need to learn how to do.  It's an art.  It requires a fair amount of discomfort, combined with learning how to lean into our values.  Most women I meet are completely unaware of their personal values, so if this includes you, don't click away.  Today's episode is going to teach you exactly how to create your own personal value system so that you can start disappointing others and stop disappointing yourself.
