Gwen initially revels in the peacefulness she has found in the quiet English countryside but soon begins to sense “undercurrents.” Before long, a local boy falls into a coma and Gwen discovers a voodoo doll impaled by pins. The danger that follows brings her face to face with witchcraft as a series of disasters unfold and lead her to the horrible truth. Eli Roth’s History of Horror Documentary series is coming to Shudder in February 2019 (if you missed in on AMC in it’s initial run in October) An in-depth look at the history and influence of horror with each of the seven episodes focusing on a different topic like vampires or zombies. The only one appears to be A Quiet Place being a Best Sound Editing nominee. Popsugar reports that a film adaptation of the H. P. Lovecraft horror story The Colour Out of Space begins production in February and is aimed to be completed by the end of 2019. "The Colour Out of Space" is a short story written by Lovecraft in 1927. The story follows a family who moves to Massachusetts. Shortly thereafter, a meteorite of sorts crashes on their land, but it's not any ordinary rock. It begins to "infect" the town; the food that grows is inedible, animals and livestock unravel, and locals either go insane or die. We watch as the family, from the patriarch to the children, slowly crumbles to dust. The film will star the one and only Nicolas Cage and will costar Joely Richardson, Tommy Chong, Elliot Knight, Julian Hilliard, and Q'Orianka Kilcher. News Features: 1. A new Ghostbusters movie for 2020 is a sure thing, details are still pending. Set in the same universe as the first two, ignoring the reboot (Much to the displeasure of Leslie Jones who starred in the reboot). MPI Media Group, who holds Dark Shadows (The horror-tinged soap opera that ran for over 1,000 episodes from the mid 60s to early 70s), has just wrapped up a documentary this week that is due to be released this spring. Shudder Greenlights ‘Creepshow’ Series Helmed By ‘The Walking Dead’s Greg Nicotero - Yes, Creepshow is going to be an anthology series with a different Stephen King story and different director each episode. Filming is to start in Atlanta, and it’s planned to be released later this year from AMC. Mads Mikkelsen teases us with hope that Hannibal Season 4 might be a reality. At least there’s hope of it. Hannibal took viewers up through the Red Dragon storyline, and it left fans wanting even more.
