Genio prolífico y viajero infatigable, Ibn Arabí fue uno de los grandes visionarios y místicos de todas las épocas. De padre murciano y madre bereber, creció y se educó en Sevilla, pero en seguida se entregó a una vida itinerante en busca de maestros ocultos. Fue heredero del neoplatonismo y del sincretismo greco-oriental, Maestro de Maestros, un español Universal.
