Show Notes

It is no small feat to be immune to the allure of technology as it continues to pervade our every decision and environment.

But what we have lost in that immersion is the ability to be fascinated, amused, awe-inspired by small things that are now deemed insignificant. Once again, this is a severance from Nature and ALL of its wonders, big and small, seen and unseen.

This episode was inspired by the work of Charles Eisenstein and his early work, The Ascent of Humanity (available in audio on SoundCloud). There is a chapter that expressly critiques the entrance of boredom in our conception and how that mis-conception depletes our resources and faculties.

As a final word: be BORED, but not Boring. Your alleged boredom might lead you to some very enthralling ideas, revelations, imaginings, and more... if you'll only unplug for a little while.
