Ep 158158 – Final episode, official narrative collapse with Omicron, mental growth, resilience, eudaemonia

The wave of covid cases of the omicron variant continues to spread worldwide, and the covid-19 vaccines (and boosters) clearly aren’t preventing infection and spread of it. Only one kind of monoclonal antibody treatment, Sotrovimab by GlaxoSmithKline, tends to be effective against this variant, though it’s in short supply. Vitamin D levels need to be maintained over 30ng/mL for more optimal immune-system function, as noted here: https://vitamindforall.org/ Joe Rogan has done various informative interviews with medical experts who disagree with the top-down handling of the pandemic and who advocate for viable treatments. https://www.react19.org is a grassroots site for those who’ve suffered with long-covid from SARS2 or the vaccines. Honoring the pillars of self-esteem and processing developmental trauma can foster more health and well-being in the midst of this pandemic. Envisioning a hopeful future is a key to resilience, which entails ridding ourselves of domination systems that thwart human flourishing. It’s time for a rights-respecting stage of development that honors individuals rather than an unjust stage that upholds hierarchies using power-over strategies. Psychedelic-assisted therapy can aid in this waking-up process of integration; our culture can evolve beyond rigidity and chaos, into compassion and flourishing. On the personal side, I recovered from omicron in January, which was similar to a cold I had three years ago in Sydney, other than partial loss of smell and taste that’s gradually returning. My treatment regimen was similar to the FLCCC alliance’s. Vaccinating children for Covid-19 makes no scientific sense and can jeopardize their health. The narrative by “officials” has collapsed with omicron, and the pandemic can come to an end. Be well and practice loving kindness, and thank you Thich Nhat Hanh. ‘Virtually every’ COVID omicron case at NY college was in fully vaccinated, official sayshttps://news.yahoo.com/virtually-every-covid-omicron-case-165735331.html Omicron is here. Ep 157157 – Pandemic of centralized control and coercion, vaccination aspiration issue, decentralized nutritional health

The pandemic restrictions continue to stress people around the globe. Ubiquitous, cheap testing for individuals is still not being offered, though some rapid-antigen tests have become available (at higher prices). Speculations about SARS2 originating from the Wuhan bat coronavirus lab gain more evidence. The mainstream perspective on covid-19 vaccine safety has continued to neglect those who’ve suffered and died from them. All this is typical of Amber-stage level of development, characterized by centralized control and top-down “authority”; organizations such as the FDA continue to act as bridge trolls, thwarting ingenious pandemic-ending solutions (e.g., engineered nanobodies and lipopeptides). Studies show that some people are at higher risk of hospitalization from covid-19 (e.g., co-morbidities), and two-dose vaccination is more protective than one dose and much more than no vaccination, while natural immunity looks to be most protective, yet those in charge of the vaccination program don’t acknowledge this. Syringe aspiration before deltoid intramuscular injection of covid-19 vaccine is advised to minimize vascular-system uptake and serious side effects (such as myocarditis). Vaccine mandates imposed by governments are rights violations. The Novavax vaccine still hasn’t come to Americans, though the Japanese government placed a big order, along with distributing ivermectin, which faces both misinformation and disinformation campaigns in America. Merck’s molnupiravir poses safety concerns (unlike ivermectin). Some centralized health-care authorities are recognizing obesity as a major risk factor with covid-19, though bottom-up solutions are lost on them, including actually healthy foods, as noted by Verta Health and the Nutrition Coalition. Don’t forget to get out and enjoy nature! Ep 156156 – Delta variant issues and covid-19 vaccines, ivermectin and nanobodies as solutions, integrating trauma instead of reliving it

Centralized, top-down organizations continue to forward vaccines at the exclusion of viable solutions, regardless of costs. Higher viral load found with Delta variant of SARS2. Israel evidenced more breakthroughs in vaccinated persons; booster shots seem to provide further immunity. FDA approves the Pfizer vaccine beyond the EUA designation, with long-term safety data still yet to be determined. Lots of fear-mongering about vaccine safety can be found in alternative media, much of which has been addressed by Dr. Mobeen Syed (links below). Once again, ivermectin can be useful for prevention and treatment of covid-19. New inhaleable nanobodies are extremely potent as SARS2 neutralizers, but such ingenious products have yet to become available, facing hindrances by Amber-stage institutions. Professor Robert Clancy has promoted ivermectin for covid-19 prevention and treatment in the authoritarian Land Down Unda. The Oxford Principle Trial examining ivermectin’s treatment efficacy is methodologically flawed. Chairman of Tokyo Metropolitan Medical Association, Dr. Haruo Ozaki, declares during surge, time for ivermectin is now. Widespread disinformation and misinformation campaigns continue against ivermectin’s use as SARS2 prophylactic and covid-19 treatment. Governments and those supporting them violate people’s choice-making ability; mandates, prohibitions, and punishments fail to help people thrive; instead, they make people relive trauma. A mindful perspective on trauma assists in healing and growing. Authoritarian parenting scales up to edicts by “authorities” in centralized organizations. Pierre Kory contracts covid-19 while taking ivermectin prophylactically, so the FLCCC Alliance has revamped their prevention protocol to twice-per-week dosing (instead of once). Some prominent anti-vaccine advocates have recently died of covid-19, and fitness icon Bill Phillips came close to dying from contracting covid-19 the second time; his natural immunity apparently worked against him. ADE remains a factor in covid-19 (not vaccines).Delta cases show 300 times higher viral load – S.Korea studyhttps://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/delta-cases-show-300-times-higher-viral-load-skorea-study-2021-08-24/Ultra-Vaccinated Israel’s Crisis Is a Dire Warning to Americahttps://www.thedailybeast.com/ultra-vaccinated-israels-debacle-is-a-dire-warning-to-americaFDA Approves First COVID-19 Vaccine | FDAhttps://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-approves-first-covid-19-vaccinehere’s an example of fear-mongering claims, which Dr. Mobeen Syed has helpfully addressed (links below)…Doctor: Heart Failure From MRNA Jabs “Will Kill Most People”https://principia-scientific.com/doctor-heart-failure-from-mrna-jabs-will-kill-most-people/Will Vaccine Generated Spike Proteins Bind To Our Cells?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9EfToFXwx98Will Endothelial Cells Express Spike Proteins? Ep 155155 – Ills of authoritarianism, Covid-19 vaccine controversies, ivermectin for prevention and treatment

The CCP in China remains opposed to any thorough investigations of the origins of SARS2, which isn’t surprising given the nature of that domination system. Joe Rogan had an “emergency podcast” about nonsensical YouTube take-downs, public health corruption and controversies, and ivermectin. Governmental systems such as the FDA and its Emergency Use Authorization for Covid-19 vaccines have predictably induced a host of perverse incentives (such as “vaccines at all costs” viewpoint), which hinder viable pandemic-ending strategies. Dr. Tess Lawrie’s research and meta-analysis of ivermectin’s efficacy and findings on the purported safety of Covid-19 vaccines have been explored in interviews (links below). Needless to say, ivermectin is not “the new hydroxychloroquine,” as some in the medical community claim; rather, it’s a way to lessen risk of SARS2 infection, transmission, and long-haul covid-19 (and post-vaccination) symptoms. Finally, the Novavax subunit (spike protein) vaccine might prove to be the best thus far of covid-19 vaccines. Essentially, the harmful developmental stage of Amber and the inadequate and misguided stages of Orange and Green perpetuate orthodox institutions and entrenched thinking (aka, impaired sense-making), which need to be transcended to a wholesome integration of Teal stage. On the personal health and well-being front, the San Diego Low-Carb Conference is happening in August. Ep 154154 – Detrimental corporate farming, vegan dogma, YouTube take-downs and crime of the century

Riffing on the last episode with Robb Wolf, we explore more of the misguided perspectives of the corporate-model of farming and ranching, followed by the viable and sustainable solutions to providing nutrient-rich food for humans. While the vegan, or anti-meat, agenda has a multiplicity of mistaken notions, some aspects of it do recognize major problems with factory farming and cultural dysfunction. Needless to say, lab meat will leave much to be desired. Then, we explore the important insights covered on the DarkHorse Podcast by evolutionary biologists Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying, and the arbitrary nature of YouTube deletions of their shows, which diverged from the “official” narrative by “authorities” about the pandemic and the solutions to it. Ivermectin remains a long-standing, vital drug in this discussion, because it’s had the capacity to safely and cheaply end the pandemic, instead of new vaccines and newly patented antivirals under FDA “Emergency Use Authorization.” Merck has shunned deploying its very own ivermectin (now off patent), favoring instead a new drug with similar characteristics garnering over a billion dollars from the federal government. As noted previously, many solutions to the pandemic haven’t been utilized due to the archaic Amber-stage, top-down organizational model of society at present and the “maximize shareholder wealth” mantra, which diminishes people’s values. A free market with free minds is still in our future. Ep 153153 – Longevity, the human condition, Sacred Cow, and viable food solutions with guest Robb Wolf

Returning guest (from 11yrs ago!..linked below) Robb Wolf is author of The Paleo Solution, Wired To Eat, and co-author of Sacred Cow. We discuss the nature of futurism and how increased longevity, even indefinite lifespans, will likely remain in the realm of science fiction, due to the complexity of biological systems, especially the human brain. Also, external events as well as psychological factors need to be considered. How much grief can humans cope with over eons of time? In the meantime we have the major societal problem of becoming disconnected from nature and cycles of life and death, which leads to further downstream problems. Bill Gates and others steeped in top-down systems of control, tend to believe that humans can disregard ancestral health principles in favor of designed, synthesized foodstuffs. In turn the informative documentary film (and book) “Sacred Cow” shows the ongoing movements protesting the use of animals for food and other values, thus marginalizing bottom-up perspectives on sustainability. Specialization in the marketplace can present challenges to our connection with nature and systemic health, especially via digital social media with polarizing algorithms. The “mean green meme” (critiqued by Ken Wilber) coupled with cancel culture further hinders integration. Still, a regenerative model of farming and ranching can sustain the world’s nutritional needs, while revitalizing topsoils, whereas Big Ag corporatism is unsustainable. Jiu Jitsu principles can be instructive for such societal challenges. Lastly, humans are best suited for consuming whole, unprocessed foods, but individual results with plants may vary. https://www.sacredcow.info/about-the-filmhttps://www.sacredcow.info/bookSacred Cow: The Case for (Better) Meat: Why Well-Raised Meat Is Good for You and Good for the Planet by Diana Rodgers and Robb Wolfhttps://www.amazon.com/Sacred-Cow-Better-Well-Raised-Planet-ebook/dp/B07ZKYFGBJ/https://robbwolf.com/Robb’s podcast…https://thehealthyrebellionradio.libsyn.com/rssnewsletter…https://robbwolf.lpages.co/thr-2020-annual-review/electrolytes…https://drinklmnt.com/ “back in our day!”…https://healthymindfitbody.com/2010/07/16/40-paleo-solutions-with-guest-robb-wolf-part-1/https://healthymindfitbody.com/2010/07/24/41-paleo-solutions-with-guest-robb-wolf-part-2/ The future of management is tealhttps://www.strategy-business.com/article/00344/Reinventing Organizations: A Guide to Creating Organizations Inspired by the Next Stage in Human Consciousness by Frederic Laloux, Ken Wilber (Forward)https://www.amazon.com/Reinventing-Organizations-Frederic-Laloux/dp/2960133501https://www.reinventingorganizations.com/resources.htmlSex, Ecology, Spirituality: The Spirit of Evolution, Second Edition eBook: Wilber, Kenhttps://www.amazon.com/Sex-Ecology-Spirituality-Spirit-Evolution-ebook/dp/B00KWKRAM4/ Gracie Jiu-Jitsu 101: The Basicshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGO31XqkevMEntrepreneur Jiu-Jitsu (EJJ): Position Before Submission, Failing Forward, Comfort in Chaos!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yneeetmig0gTHE BJJ BUSINESS: How Learning & Understanding Martial Arts Will Help Your Business | Rener Graciehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyNkn1KncVY bumper musicKosheen – All in my head (Planet Funk Remix)http://www.kosheen.com

Ep 152152 – Vaccines and covid-19 research, best solutions, healthy eating and nurturing self-relationship

Vaccine development and vaccinations for covid-19 continue, as the pandemic massively affects India. Hopefully intranasal vaccines, as explained in episode 150, will come to market sooner rather than later. The coronavirus spike protein has been shown to damage tissues, and scientists note that covid-19 is primarily a vascular disease. Apparently, despite some controversy (see in links below), only SARS CoV-2 (not the vaccines) significantly damages tissues. Meanwhile, various top-down systems continue to thwart sensible solutions to the pandemic. It’s vital to integrate healthy nutrition too, which entails developing a healthy relationship with various parts of oneself, via self-acceptance, self-empathy, and self-compassion. Ep 151151 – FDA impeding pandemic solutions, nature of dieting, costly dietary guidelines, keto treats

While the Olympics in Tokyo are scheduled this summer, only the athletes and local spectators will be allowed entry. Japan’s vaccine rollout has been minimal thus far. In America there’s a chance that covid-19 tests will become available over the counter, though still via the command-and-control FDA process. Author of a new book called Just Eat misses the mark regarding what and how to eat for optimal health, though he did recommend reducing processed carbs. Dr. Ken Berry’s interview with dietician Michelle Hurn (linked below) discusses what’s been happening in hospitals and the institutionalized health care system as well as their ties to the processed-food industry. Finally, keto treats oftentimes try to mimic sweet and baked desserts that we’re so used to with the Standard American Diet, so there’s that. Using them to transition to savory whole foods (mostly from animals) or only on special occasions is probably most prudent. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/rapid-covid-tests-are-coming-to-stores-near-you/ https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2021/03/25/980177787/when-your-fad-diet-fails-and-it-probably-will-just-eat LIVE: Dr Berry & Registered Dietitian Michelle Hurn | Dietitian’s Dilemmahttps://youtu.be/ZxtqqS51zK8 https://www.ketochow.xyz/recipes/ bumper musicKosheen – All in my head (Planet Funk Remix)http://www.kosheen.com

Ep 150150 – Covid testing, nasal spray vaccines, trust and self-empowerment instead of hierarchical control

Can “immunity bubbles” be created through testing? It depends on the nature of the rapid-antigen tests being used and whether they are able to detect asymptomatic infectious persons. Clearly, not using a bottom-up approach to implement widespread and cheap testing has caused more pandemic problems and costly governmental reactions. Relatedly, with nearly all the focus on injected vaccines, much more effective treatments are being overlooked, which include engineered nanobodies (AeroNabs from UCSF) and lipopeptides (e.g., from Columbia U.) that prevent infection, as well as intranasal spray vaccines! We explore facets of these vaccines, because they appear to be more effective at preventing severe symptoms and stopping infectiousness than injected vaccines, which could end the pandemic and all the costly restrictions. Once again, empowering individuals to take control of their health and well-being by enabling widespread access to such products is needed, rather than more top-down programs. Command-and-control systems sacrifice many human needs, including trust. On the blood testing front, consider using https://ownyourlabs.com. Ep 149149 – Catching up with Kevin, doughnut-related issues, keto-carnivore-ish blood readings from labs

In this episode Kevin joins in the fun! In addition to addressing healthy blood test results, we discuss a range of issues, from the seeming slow pace of anti-aging biotech (Aubrey de Grey!), the misguided trend of veganism and ongoing false nutritional information, to mistaken notions of empathy within domination systems (such as governmental schooling). Additionally, regenerative agriculture and sustainable, caring (ultimately, non-corporate) ranching methods need to become widespread. Processed foods, such as our beloved donuts (sarcasm), are geared to cater to short-term pleasures and comfort at the expense of long-term health and well-being. Case in point: fast-food restaurants, where it’s vital to steer clear of the excess carbs and things fried in “vegetable” oil. Intermittent fasting, or reduced eating windows, can facilitate fat-loss and improve biomarkers, which can be a challenge in a food-abundant world. Eating low-carb/high-fat (especially, carnivore-ish) whole foods appears to minimize risk of CVD and other diseases. “Normal” or “optimal” ranges of blood readings can vary across labs, of course, which tend not to account for keto/carnivore diets. The HDL/Triglyceride ratio (best less than 1 or 2) continues to be a useful marker, among other inflammation indicators. Ep 148148 – Questioning dogmatic pronouncements and propaganda, weight-loss remedies, sunlight benefits

Once again, we need widespread rapid antigen testing (for all individuals, not just “authorized” clinics) and engineered nanobodies (AeroNabs) and lipopeptides to end the pandemic. Of course, governmental restrictions and vaccinations are being provided instead, which represent the top-down organizational model that presumes to be in charge of “public health.” Unsurprisingly, this flawed model has also been overseeing the rise in obesity, so weight-loss drugs continue to be promoted by “experts,” instead of beneficial nutritional solutions such as Virta Health. We need to beware dogmatic pronouncements that often contain various “hallmarks of propaganda,” as Georgia Ede pointed out (link below). Governmental orgs such as the USDA and WHO have been contributing to a lot of nutritional misinformation and even disinformation, via unscientific biases. Finally, dogmatic pronouncements to stay out of the sun appear to be harming human health more than helping it. Sunlight can provide many health benefits that vitamin D3 supplements unfortunately do not, as reflected in the research. ‘A Game Changer’: Drug Brings Weight Loss in Patients With Obesity by Gina Kolatahttps://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/10/health/obesity-weight-loss-drug-semaglutide.html Virta Health: Clinically-proven Treatment for Diabetes Reversalhttps://www.virtahealth.com/ Georgia Ede: Brainwashed — The Mainstreaming of Nutritional Mythologyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbNDrcoRi8g Is Sunscreen the New Margarine? by Rowan Jacobsenhttps://www.outsideonline.com/2380751/sunscreen-sun-exposure-skin-cancer-sciencehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_D#Use_of_supplementsvitamin-D/sun-exposure app…http://dminder.ontometrics.com bumper musicKosheen – All in my head (Planet Funk Remix)http://www.kosheen.com

Ep 147147 – Challenging common mistaken assumptions in the nutritional realm, once again

In this episode we explore the realm of medical and nutritional dogmas, which we’ve of course covered in the past, yet they continue to mislead and prevent helpful strategies. Turns out, sitting is not the new smoking; occasional movement is key to preventing inflammation. Strength training as we age can forestall sarcopenia. Apparently, before the advent of electricity, people slept about the same amount of hours per night as we do today. We need to understand the many benefits of eating meat, both for ourselves and the environment, as Sacred Cow notes. Cholesterol and saturated fat (and meat) continue to be misunderstood and fearmongered to the detriment of everyone’s health. “Vegetable oil,” aka soybean oil, is widely used, yet still unhealthy, similar to other industrialized, rancid seed oils. It’s probably best to avoid high concentrations of oxalates in foods, such as spinach and almonds. Once again, being fat-adapted is typically much healthier than being carb-adapted, since excess insulin secretion can result in a host of problems. Ep 146146 – Metabolic Health Conference, developmental questions by Nathaniel Branden

In this shorter episode we note the upcoming low-carb conference (online), which will offer a lot of useful information about achieving metabolic health and well-being. Our physical health remains vital as the pandemic continues, since governments are still hindering highly useful decentralized solutions (namely, inexpensive rapid antigen tests and engineered antivirals). I then list all the questions that psychologist Nathaniel Branden posed to his clients about their childhoods via the parenting they experienced. We’ve of course explored each question during episodes over the last year on the show. Reflecting on all of them can be challenging, as they indicate many ways we can reparent ourselves, ways we can heal and grow from developmental trauma, and ways we can practice compassionate communication. Cultivating inner peace is part of this process. Ep 145145 – Medical establishment problems, rapid antigen tests, personal empowerment amidst domination systems

In this episode to round out 2020, we focus on a way to end the pandemic via making cheap rapid antigen tests widely available to individuals (sans prescriptions), so everyone can be informed and empowered (instead of being told what to do by so-called “authorities”). Unfortunately, the medical establishment tends to resemble an unhealthy system similar to government, which doesn’t consistently help humans flourish, but rather protects its own interests and hinders both innovation and delivery of more efficient and effective remedies to the marketplace. Choice clips are played of a conversation that Lex Fridman had with Michael Mina, an epidemiologist and public health engineer at Harvard who has been advocating to remove the senseless FDA (et al.) impediments to at-home testing for covid-19. Moreover, humanity needs to transcend the current paradigm of domination systems, replacing distrust, fear, and control with the Teal organizational paradigm of self-management, wholeness, and purpose (reinventingorganizations.com). Everyone will benefit immensely as a result, both mentally and physically. Ep 144144 – Aerosolized nanobodies, RNA vaccines, institutional problems, beef for health, non-sacrificial ethics

Amidst the highest number of SARS cov-2/covid-19 cases in America and tragic fatalities during the pandemic, potent antivirals from UCSF (YT link below) and Columbia, for instance, could end the needless suffering and restrictions rather quickly. Meanwhile, RNA vaccines tend to be the main focus by institutions, both corporate and governmental; such top-down structures sacrifice a lot of needs. Messenger RNA vaccines (by Pfizer and Moderna) prime the immune system to recognize certain proteins on the coronavirus and seem relatively safe. Next, we explore an erroneous and fear-mongering article about beef (“red meat”), health, and the climate, generated by The Lancet. Various infographics on SacredCow.info (new well-researched book and documentary) help clear things up. Finally, we cover the last question set in Branden’s list, this time regarding your life belonging to you, as an end in yourself (rather than a means to others’ ends). The contradictions and harm done by the culture’s sacrificial ethics are addressed, as well as the non-sacrificial process of nurturing our connection needs, among others. Ep 143143 – Lipopeptides and nanobodies as pandemic solutions, nature of gender and need for self-esteem

We’re of course still being challenged by the pandemic and the fear-based and control-ridden responses to it by governments. The tragic Covid-19 fatalities are still considerably lower than during the 1918 Spanish flu, yet so much fear, suffering, and death can be stopped by widespread distribution and use of ingenious, potent antiviral inhalers (links provided below). By using engineered nanobodies and lipopeptides, we can also end all the conflicts about restriction levels and precautions based on ignorance of who’s infected (masks, social distancing, and international travel bans). Without them, attempting to achieve herd immunity via mass infection or vaccination comes with serious costs. Regarding Branden’s question this time, our sense of masculinity and femininity can be affected by various biased cultural notions, which are typically inculcated in family systems with unprocessed trauma. Oftentimes, conceptions of the masculine and feminine are expressed without attending to the six pillars of self-esteem. Questioning traditional and stereotypical gender roles entails becoming more whole, psychologically and behaviorally. Being fully human involves nurturing universal needs in ourselves and in children. Respect and emotional visibility (mindsight) are key, once again. And don’t forget to explore nature! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_flu#Around_the_globehttps://www.scientificamerican.com/article/deliberate-efforts-to-achieve-herd-immunity-to-covid-are-dangerous/https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/17/health/coronavirus-immunity.htmlhttps://thecounter.org/does-the-american-diet-make-us-more-vulnerable-to-covid-19/ https://www.nytimes.com/live/2020/11/05/world/covid-19-coronavirus-updates#a-nasal-spray-blocked-infection-in-lab-animals-raising-hopes-for-a-new-weapon-against-the-virusNasal Spray May Prevent Coronavirus Infection in People Exposed to COVID-19https://scitechdaily.com/nasal-spray-may-prevent-coronavirus-infection-in-people-exposed-to-covid-19/Intranasal fusion inhibitory lipopeptide prevents direct contact SARS-CoV-2 transmission in ferrets | bioRxivhttps://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.11.04.361154v1 related news items about various potent antivirals…https://www.ucsf.edu/news/2020/08/418241/aeronabs-promise-powerful-inhalable-protection-against-covid-19Llama-inspired “AeroNabs” to strangle COVID-19 with an inhalerhttps://pharmaceuticalintelligence.com/2020/10/11/llama-inspired-aeronabs-to-strangle-covid-19-with-an-inhaler/The race to make COVID antibody therapies cheaper and more potent by Heidi Ledfordhttps://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-020-02965-3Lab-Made ‘Miniproteins’ Could Block the Coronavirus from Infecting Cells: Synthetic peptides that mimic human antibodies for COVID-19 could be cheaper and easier to producehttps://www.scientificamerican.com/article/lab-made-miniproteins-could-block-the-coronavirus-from-infecting-cells/ Opinion | The Pandemic in Six-Word Memoirshttps://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/11/opinion/coronavirus-pandemic-poetry-memoirs.html Two books by Nathaniel Branden containing the important questions about childhoodhttps://www.amazon.com/Honoring-Self-Self-Esteem-Personal-Tranformation/dp/0553268147https://www.amazon.com/Breaking-Free-Nathaniel-Branden/dp/0553265881Question # 23. Ep 142142 – Nanobodies for resolving the pandemic, perspectives on sexuality and violence, boundaries, bodily integration

Treating our bodies well with optimal nutrition (lower carb/keto, Primal/Paleo/Carnivorish) can help a lot during this trying pandemic. Engineered nanobodies, which are both relatively inexpensive and easy to produce, are being reported on more now, since UCSF promoted AeroNabs unprecedented potency against SARS CoV-2 (way more potent than vaccines, and potentially safer). Let’s hope they finally get to market to end this pandemic. On the psychological side of things, Branden’s question set advises adults to educate children about their bodies appropriate to their development and to deal with the nature of sexuality in healthy ways, thereby honoring boundaries and self-esteem. Parents can be compassionate first responders to bodily experiences. Tragically, shame, guilt, rights violations, and secrecy are still part of our culture, and violence is commonly portrayed as necessary or ok. We need to foster (and live in) vibrant, insightful, and nourishing spaces of understanding and empathy in these matters. Ep 141141 – Pandemic updates, nature of mistakes and moralistic cycles, fostering mindsight

The governmentally imposed restrictions during the pandemic have taken a major toll on people’s health and well-being. Updated scientific information reveals that contact with surfaces exposed to this coronavirus aren’t as much of a risk as airborne particles. Once again, AeroNabs and possibly other synthetic peptides can serve as ingeniously potent PPE to end the pandemic—and all the restrictions. Honoring the mistake-making process is crucial for children and adults, so that we can make more informed and more helpful choices. Shaming and blaming, along with criticism, defensiveness, contempt, and stonewalling, indicate injuries to volitional consciousness and unprocessed developmental trauma. Moralistic judgment leads to deserve-oriented thinking and punishment, inflicting more wounds and impeding learning and growth. Coercive systems contribute immensely to this too. We need reflective dialogues with children based on the process of mindsight, in order to foster more understanding, coherence, and connection. As Dan Siegel notes, emotional intelligence is synonymous with insight, empathy, and flexibility. Ep 140140 – Covid-19 treatments, still needing AeroNabs, emotional expression and mindsight

We cover the latest in the Covid-19 saga, including Trump’s treatments, which appear to assist in recovery. Once again, the coercive organization known as the FDA stands in the way of companies bringing potentially helpful products and services to market, as customers desire. While vaccine development is ongoing, many questions remain about its long-term efficacy. Make sure vitamin D levels are at least 30-50ng/mL (from 25-hydroxy test). The Collective Trauma Summit explored many vital issues and processes for healing and growing. Domination systems, domination thinking, and a punishment paradigm all contribute to a sense of individual isolation in society. Cultivating self-esteem and compassionate communication can connect us to ourselves and others in enriching ways. We need Teal organizations and truly free markets to enable optimal interpersonal flourishing. Along with this, developing mindsight, self-knowledge, and response flexibility enable reflective dialogues that further nourish us. Ep 139139 – Dealing with fear, cultivating relaxed, confident benevolence, and rupture-repair work

As America reaches a (reported) death toll of 200,000 from Covid-19, we still need bottom-up solutions such as AeroNabs to be highlighted by the media and brought to market. There’s still some hope for that in the video linked below. Cultivating an attitude of relaxed, confident benevolence is a real psychological challenge for parents as well as for every human being trying to cope with fears. Coming to factual terms with our mortality remains central to our sense of well-being, in order to meet the need for authenticity and not get overwhelmed by costly survival strategies. The practice of living consciously remains a vital pillar of self-esteem and flourishing, along with cultivating gratitude for simply being alive in the world. Repairing attachment ruptures involves emotional regulation and integration, in order to foster of a coherent mental narrative, which enables stability, flexibility, and adaptiveness. We need to integrate parts and find harmony in the mental complexity, helping children do the same. interview with AeroNabs’ developer Aashish Manglik…Covid-19: Current State, Falling Mortality Rates, and “AeroNabs”https://youtu.be/ljyi_pV1l5A?t=3700 Two books by Nathaniel Branden containing the important questions about childhoodhttps://www.amazon.com/Honoring-Self-Self-Esteem-Personal-Tranformation/dp/0553268147https://www.amazon.com/Breaking-Free-Nathaniel-Branden/dp/0553265881 Question # 19. Ep 138138 – Pandemic solutions from the bottom up, can-do spirit, repairing connection ruptures

Once again, bringing AeroNabs to market needs to be prioritized along with ubiquitous testing (including at home), so society can return to some semblance of normalcy. Top-down command-and-control institutions hinder this process and thwart new innovations and their implementation. America needs to revitalize its bottom-up can-do spirit! We can honor our capacity for achievement and view life as an exciting and challenging adventure. We also need to be mindful of feelings of overwhelm and learn how to soothe ourselves via self-acceptance, self-empathy, and self-compassion. Just as vital is doing the repair work for various ruptures in connection experienced internally and interpersonally. Balance can be attained to honor autonomy and connection needs. Even toxic ruptures can repaired in an empathetic, effective, and timely manner, so self-esteem can be restored. On the physical side, a “one-minute workout” can do wonders, along with a lower-carb, higher-fat, adequate-protein regimen. Ep 137137 – AeroNabs to bring the pandemic to a close, valuing ourselves, fostering coherence

As this coronavirus pandemic and the varying governmental restrictions drag on (still with inadequate personal testing and problematic contact tracing), many still hope for an effective (and safe) vaccine to get us out of this mess. However, scientists at UCSF have recently created a much easier, cheaper, and safe way: an antiviral treatment that totally deactivates SARS CoV-2! In this episode we explore the nature of nanobodies and how they can be engineered to stop this coronavirus in its tracks, before it can enter human cells, basically providing immunity from Covid-19. This is the game-changer that we all need. The rest of the episode delves into self-esteem dynamics and being triggered within family systems (among others), nature of the “low-road,” and how to get back to BRIE (Balance, Resilience, Insight, and Empathy) for coherent and connected functioning. Ep 136136 – Healthy nutrition during a pandemic, inner and interpersonal repair work

Many months into this pandemic, we’re still experiencing the unfortunate effects of coercive systems trying to deal with the spread of sars cov2. These systems not only can create backlash, but they also forestall adequate testing (both molecular and serological). So, in the meantime wear masks in crowded places and maintain your nutritional health and fitness. Check out the informative links to YouTube shows and podcasts in the notes below! On the psychological side, fostering respect and trust can bring curiosity, openness, and connection. Recognizing interpersonal ruptures and doing repair work can really assist in the healing and growing process internally as well as within the family system (and elsewhere). Tragically, restorative justice tends not to occur in our present culture, which indicates that more awareness, integration, and attunement are needed to create a pro-recovery environment. Ep 135135 – Keto conference online, dealing with fear and trauma, and reparenting ourselves

The Low-Carb San Diego Keto Conference is happening online next month, which will offer lots of helpful information about nutrition and health, something especially vital during this ongoing pandemic. On the psychological side of life, be sure to check out the talks below by two prominent trauma researchers. Since we are biological beings, fear is something we all experience, and the child-self within everyone needs to feel seen, soothed, safe, and secure. Being heard and understood is especially vital for children, along with contingent and congruent communication; so, reparenting ourselves is part of this process. Ep 134134 – Cultivating healthy minds, Self-fullness, dietary guidelines, guilt and coherent narratives

To cultivate healthy minds, we need to achieve clarity about a lot of systemic issue. As we do, we can actualize our potential, seeking to meet needs for enriching connection, intrinsically motivating purpose, and profound meaning. Unfortunately, our culture largely promotes an ethics of sacrifice, so integrating one’s authentic Self can be challenging amidst ideas of selfishness and selflessness. Self-fullness honors the spectrum of human needs. Nutritional needs continue to be sacrificed by governmental dietary guidelines; once again, we can question them, so that our physical health doesn’t suffer. In place of the moralistic judgment of guilt, we can understand our fallibility, attune to remorse, connect to needs, and make amends via restorative justice. Living an emotionally autonomous existence and living with unprocessed trauma can be transformed into healing visibility of one’s emotional life with others. Ep 133133 – Empathy distribution, psychedelic movement issues arising from domination systems

We really need systems involving free minds and free markets to remedy the unjust systems that continue to diminish people’s lives and well-being throughout society. Power-over strategies tragically run deep in present systems, from families to governments. Empathetic understanding remains vital, along with the pillars of self-esteem, as well as Teal organizational practices. Domination systems revere command-and-control hierarchies, which sacrifice a multiplicity of needs, especially trust and empathy. Coercive, legalized monopolies work to hinder choice and flourishing. Various mental health apps being developed by corporations (Orange-stage or even Green-stage) present sizable problems, including conflicts of interest regarding governmental systems (Amber-stage). Living consciously is really needed in the process of transformation, in order to let go of demand-oriented thinking and punishments and attune to empathy and honoring the self. Ep 132132 – Understanding domination thinking and systems amidst crises, cultivating potentialities

In times of major societal stress, like today, it’s vital to practice self-acceptance, self-empathy, and self-compassion. Currently, America is trying to make sense of and deal with systemic injustices involving racism that stem from the time of slavery. Needs for respect, choice, and justice have been sacrificed. The punishment paradigm remains a major deleterious factor. Dehumanization of the “other” (such as name calling) is an all-too-common process, along with making demands, deserve-oriented thinking, and denial of responsibility. In the midst of conflict we need practices of de-escalation, harm reduction, and peacemaking—yet these are typically foregone by the coercive monopoly of governmental policing. The “war on drugs” has been, and continues to be, a war on people, in violation of individual rights and property rights. Racist notions in our culture reflect sacrifices of self-confidence and self-worth, then projected onto others. Whenever rights are violated, restorative justice is needed. Parents and other adults who believe in and support children’s intellectual and creative potentialities can cultivate a healed world, in which respectful and enriching human interactions are enduring themes. Ep 131131 – Organizational hindrances to pandemic recovery, voluntary solutions, self-worth integration

In this episode we explore facets of problematic organizations and their need to transform, so pandemics and a multiplicity of other challenges can be effectively dealt with, minimizing harm to individuals and businesses. The FDA remains detrimental to widespread testing for covid19, hindering more informed decision-making and innovation (until then, masks, vitamin D, eating low-carb Primal or carnivore, and oximeters can help). Instead of top-down systems, including the typical corporate structure, we need Teal organizations, which honor self-management, holistic human functioning, and evolutionary purpose. The CCP stands in stark contrast to freedom and responsibility; the Chinese people and the rest of the world suffer from its authoritarianism. Free speech and free press, as well as questioning unjust orders, are essential for liberation from domination systems, which reflect the archaic paradigm of control, fear, and punishment. 130 – Testing options, psychedelic journeys into self and reality, steep price of punishment

As the pandemic continues, we are still waiting for availability of at-home testing (both molecular and serological), which will be able to shine a vital light for people to make sound decisions (instead of just following governmental orders). Throughout most of this episode, I explain aspects of my psilocybin-assisted therapeutic experiences, connecting to self and to what truly matters in life. The so-called struggles with ego represent a loss of wondrous child-self connection to love. Compassion and acceptance and empathy are the healing salve, even when the struggles appear unending due to fear, leading to control and the rest. 129 – Pandemic problems, nature of authority, trust and collaboration, respect and authenticity

From America, various aspects of the pandemic are explored, including how a free and responsible society would effectively deal with it. This contrasts with what we’ve been experiencing in terms of top-down controls and conflicting edicts in the absence of adequate testing. The FDA is a governmental organization that reflects fundamental distrust in biotech scientists, engineers, and businesspersons to do what’s needed to ensure people’s safety. “Authority” based on coercion needs to be challenged and replaced by honest and open collaboration with shared purpose. Again, we need to implement win/win, Teal-stage organizing (https://www.reinventingorganizations.com), trusting people to sense and respond in beneficial, organic, non-hierarchical ways. Psychological questions explore getting needs for fairness, respect, empathy, and emotional understanding and nourishment met, to foster a sense of secure attachment. Coming to integrative terms with our old defenses puts us on the path of healing, which enables more openness, vulnerability, and intimacy. 128 – Pandemic and crucial testing, cultivating love and attachment ABCs

More about the pandemic in this shorter show, including the necessity of thorough coronavirus testing that can allow most people to resume their normal lives. Wearing masks is an important part of the prevention process, as the Asians have been demonstrating (as well as the Americans during the 1918 influenza pandemic). The questions about feeling loved and being loved in your family system relate to the development of secure attachment, so we cover highlights of a germane chapter of Parenting from the Inside Out. 127 – Pandemic issues, personal health focus, attachment repairs, and visibility

More overview of the coronavirus impact, sadly. Ubiquitous and fast testing (and mask-wearing) needs to be a priority, instead of shutting down commerce and societal functioning for an arbitrary or indefinite time. Risks increase with uncertainty about who’s infected, and typical unhealthy dietary and life habits augment this (smoking is still a major thing in Europe). To promote health and immune function, avoid excess carbs and rancid “vegetable” oils. Practicing self-compassion and love also relates to cultivating a sense of secure attachment. Creating meaning in life is vital as well. Meeting the need for psychological visibility involves nurturing emotional attentiveness and flexibility. some undue melodrama in this piece, but shows HK and historical overview…Journalist goes undercover at “wet markets”, where the Coronavirus started | 60 Minutes Australiahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7nZ4mw4mXwthis interview shows how minimal the USA testing process has been…Dr. Anthony Fauci says “everything is on the table” to fight spread of coronavirushttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKwwh2Iai2wDavid Ropeik: How Risky Is It, Really? | Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1sF5GXbWf4 self-knowledge, inner understanding and self-actualization via meaning makinghttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor_FranklRedeeming the Unredeemable: Auschwitz and Man’s Search for Meaning by Timothy E. 126 – Coronavirus, mortality, achievements of ancient Greece, consideration and dignity

Greetings again from Athens. In covering more tragic stories about the coronavirus, we explore the nature of mortality and then early Ionia, essentially what the artists created and philosophers developed. Our brains give rise to immense conceptual capacity and self-reflection, which yielded the exquisite artwork and thought in ancient Greece. Yet, being in survival mode can foster dysregulated limbic systems, which can lead to violence, a tragic theme throughout history (as reflected in the Parthenon’s many scars). Forwarding a non-sacrificial ethics remains vital to being able to meet all human needs, including equality, justice, and respect. Honoring each person’s dignity, especially during childhood, can help meet the need for self-esteem and transform costly interpersonal cycles of trauma into authentic healing and growing experiences. 125 – Coronavirus, systemic medical-care problems, self-care and humor sans humiliation

After covering various issues surrounding the coronavirus, we explore ways that modern medicine has been falling short for patients in particular and humanity in general. Science journalist John Horgan noted key points from a recent book titled Medical Nihilism by Jacob Stegenga, which are as follows: medical research is slanted toward positive results; more rigorous studies show fewer benefits; drugs’ harmful effects are underreported; health care providers engage in “disease-mongering”; screening doesn’t save lives; and, modern medicine is overrated. Given the unscientific processes within the highly regulated and institutionalized medical profession, only emergency or acute care can be recommended. Taking care of yourself with optimal nutrition (low-carb Primal/carnivore) remains key. Finally, we reflect on parental disapproval during childhood; humiliation sacrifices self-esteem. We need to practice self-acceptance, self-empathy, and self-compassion in order to heal, and then we can engage in respectful, win/win humor. :) Mark Edge and I broadcasting from Saipanhttps://www.freetalklive.com/podcast/2020-02-06 Infectious Disease Expert Discusses What We Know about the New Virus in China by Tanya Lewishttps://www.scientificamerican.com/article/infectious-disease-expert-discusses-what-we-know-about-the-new-virus-in-china1/ Coronavirus Is Spreading Because Humans Are Healthier: Medical advances have dramatically extended life spans worldwide, but investment in basic health care has not kept up. by Thomas J. After covering some recent news from Hong Kong and an another recap of experiences in lovely Japan, we delve into some more nutritional notions. Regarding sustainability, we can maintain biological systems on our wondrous planet without dispensing with evidence and principles of our ancestral health. Finally, regarding Branden’s question, we need to transform the current cultural paradigm of punishment into one of restorative justice and win/win processes, which reflect self-trust and trust in others to meet needs. 123 – Sorting various facts from fictions in the culture and dietary-advice world

After covering more enjoyable experiences in Japan, both foodie and cultural, some historical tragedies and modern legal system problems are explored, which underscore the need for respect, restorative justice, and more evolved human organizations (Teal). We then delve into some recent articles concerning modern nutrition and dietary advice. As usual, the mainstream content comes with various caveats, because it often overlooks or omits important scientific aspects. For instance, especially when consumed via a low-carb regimen, saturated fat and red meat are actually healthy additions. Yet another documentary was produced about the merits of veganism; Game Changers generated lots of corrective scrutiny by those more scientifically informed. Thinking independently and developing one’s critical faculty can really help us sort fact from fiction. 122 – Issues involving obesity, nutritional, developmental, and cultural

Happy holidays, from Japan. In this episode I cover the worldwide problem of childhood obesity and nutritional deficiencies, which is related to what the nutrition establishment has been advising over the years. There’s been a lot of confusion about what is healthy to eat. Using coercion to ban and tax substances doesn’t deal with the causes of the problem. Amidst this landscape, self-responsibility and helpful scientific information remain key to countering misinformation (such as about fat and carbs). Honoring the nature of oneself as a rational being capable of making free (as opposed to coerced) choices is foundational to personal and societal well-being. 121 – Free Hong Kong, ACEs, and a rational, predictable, and intelligible world

Freedom for Hong Kong! :) If we don’t focus on what ails us, in terms of developmental trauma, we’ll tend to relive it. So, it’s vital to recognize and be mindful of the impact of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and, just as importantly, to work on remedying the various causes of them. Autonomy wars persist tragically due to sacrificed needs early on and as we mature, so enemy images, animosity, and fears become established, often preventing a healthy shift out of the status quo. At the end of the show notes for this episode is the first of many questions posed by psychologist Nathaniel Branden, which are quite useful to reflect on for growth. The costly systems that parents oftentimes find themselves immersed in (and grew up in) are a major part of the problem in need of transformation. 119 – Liberation from shame pathways

(duration 43:57) We’re finally back in the saddle (apologies for the delay!). As we’ve let the show age like a fine primal wine, we share news that Kevin is departing and that Wes will continue solo (sometimes w/ guests) for at least the next year. In this episode we explore parts of a couple informative books on nutrition (links below), including detrimental aspects of “vegetable oils,” aka, industrial seed oils, as well as current findings on oxidized omega 3s. Then we finish our series on the experience and beliefs about shame, in which we note once again that it’s unhelpful for win/win interactions with self and others—since shame is the opposite of self-esteem. We cover the following related components from the inner liberation process, which is featured on http://radicalcompassion.com: -Self-acceptance: Accepting oneself with unconditional caring. -Reconnecting to self and recovering from reactivity: Reactivity is internal resistance to what is. Recovery is letting go of that resistance. Reconnecting to self is being with one’s own experience with presence and compassion. -Honest self-expression: Owning one’s experience and having the willingness to express authentically without blame or criticism. -Responding to others’ reactivity: Responding rather than reacting to others who are caught up in intense separating emotions. -Openness to feedback: Receiving other’s perspective about our actions with equanimity and centeredness. -Cultivating vitality: Tuning in to oneself to support balanced self-care; cultivating the energy to serve life. As noted below, we also went on a few tangents in this concluding show as a duo, including the ill effects of a society that tends to disfavor political freedom and, thus, self-responsibility. 118 – Facets of shame

(duration 42:58) After covering Kev’s summer travels in Europe, in our second episode about shame we discuss the various aspects of shame and guilt. Since shame is the opposite of self-esteem, “healthy shame” isn’t really possible. Both shame and guilt are tragic ways to assess oneself and one’s actions (as well as others), which stem from experiencing shaming, blaming, and punitive parenting strategies. Harboring enemy images and choosing to play the costly game of “Who’s right?” tend to degrade or diminish our present-moment experiences and our well-being and happiness. It’s vital to strive to break the cycles of the past that are rooted in trauma, as well as learn compassionate communication that’s connected to needs. This process entails moving from rewards and punishments to love and reason (as Alfie Kohn notes in his book Unconditional Parenting). 117 – Origins of shame

(duration 45:59) This is the first episode in our series on the nature of shame. After outlining the basic aspects of shame (i.e., the belief and sense that one is unworthy or flawed in some irredeemable way), we note that its antithesis is self-esteem; so, practicing the six pillars is vital. Shame mainly originates in childhood within the context of family systems, as the book _Facing Shame_ explores. Within traumatizing systems many feelings are not acknowledged and empathized with, since needs are sacrificed, such as respect and self-esteem. Audios are played by therapists Terry Kellogg and John Bradshaw, who explain the ways that shame arises from abuse and neglect in early life, usually coupled with coping strategies of silence and secrecy, as well as addictions. Raising awareness of these costly patterns and learning healthy strategies are parts of the healing and growing process. an enriching NVC conference http://chooseconnection.com https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shame an antidote is the six pillars of self-esteem… http://healthymindfitbody.com/2010/03/28/episode-27-the-practice-of-living-consciously/ http://healthymindfitbody.com/2010/04/05/28-the-practice-of-self-acceptance/ http://healthymindfitbody.com/2010/04/13/29-the-practice-of-self-responsibility/ http://healthymindfitbody.com/2010/04/27/30-the-practice-of-self-assertiveness/ http://healthymindfitbody.com/2010/05/06/31-the-practice-of-living-purposefully/ http://healthymindfitbody.com/2010/05/13/32-the-practice-of-personal-integrity/ Facing Shame: Families in Recovery by Merle A. 116 – Self-leadership

(duration 30:09) In this episode we offer a summary of the nature of internal critical parts via the Internal Family Systems perspective. They can be viewed from the standpoint of managing exiled wounded aspects of us that got overwhelmed or harmed a long time ago. In turn, when others are critical of us and our behaviors, it’s yet another reflection of unprocessed wounded aspects in their selves. Cultivating a perspective of kindness and compassion towards even critical parts can help transform costly patterns; and this entails a process of unblending from one’s triggered defenses, so one can observe one’s internal processes in a conscious and empathetic way. This tends to naturally cultivate the “eight Cs” of self-leadership: calmness; curiosity; clarity; compassion; confidence; creativity; courage; and, connectedness. As we attune to our inner processes, we can manifest more of who we really are, the true and loving essence of ourselves. 115 – The inner controller

(duration 23:43) The seventh and last inner critic we discuss is the inner controller, which tries to control various impulses and choices that might lead to ill effects, although it lacks trust in one’s biological drives and desires. The inner controller tends to use harsh strictures and even shaming tactics, which are indicative of developmental trauma that hasn’t been effectively processed. Raising awareness of this critic’s childhood origins assists in challenging the assumption that one is flawed and can’t do kind and caring things for oneself. Various domination systems that undermine self-reliance, choice, trust, and self-responsibility can be challenged as well. We need to orient towards compassionate understanding in order to heal parts such as this, which entails reflecting on unmet needs from tragic strategies. love the cold… https://www.wimhofmethod.com http://personal-growth-programs.com/inner-critic-section/inner-critic-types/ We invite you to join our new group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/healthymindfitbody We appreciate your rating and review on iTunes! http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=332309038 bumper music Kosheen – All in my head (Planet Funk Remix) http://www.kosheen.com

114 – The taskmaster

(duration 18:39) This time we discuss the kind of inner critic known as the taskmaster, which tries to keep one from being considered mediocre or lazy. It fears failure and thus pushes more and more, and it becomes a lot to live up to, sacrificing needs for ease, comfort, relaxation, inner peace, as well as humor. Finding healthy balance in achieving things is key. We need to understanding the genesis of the taskmaster in childhood, when parents might’ve distrusted one’s own decision-making process, bossed one around, and sent messages about being “less-than,” or unworthy. We need to be aware of these developmental aspects of how our need for self-esteem can go unmet, as well as how to heal by gaining a new perspective about our capability and worthiness for happiness. Developing a contemplative and self-empathetic mind set can give rise to the saying, “Don’t just do something. Sit there.” :) http://personal-growth-programs.com/inner-critic-section/inner-critic-types/ http://shrinkrapradio.com/498-duct-tape-parenting-with-vicki-hoefle/ We invite you to join our new group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/healthymindfitbody We appreciate your rating and review on iTunes! http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=332309038 bumper music Kosheen – All in my head (Planet Funk Remix) http://www.kosheen.com

113 – The molder

(duration 19:45) In this episode we delve into the nature of the inner critic called the molder, which is formed early on in our minds, attempting to keep us from being abandoned, punished, shamed and shunned. The rules of authoritarian systems (be they in families, religions, schools, or governments) coupled with the punishment model tend to perpetuate the molder within us. Being a rebel or a free spirit can be a reaction to the molder’s injunctions about conforming to societal standards. Contradictions about the self are common in our culture. So, coming to terms with our true nature, which entails embracing our enlightened self-interest and needs-fulfillment, is vital to the processes of individuation and independent self-expression. This thereby fosters more integrated ways of being with ourselves and others, based on standards that don’t conflict with our true nature. http://personal-growth-programs.com/inner-critic-section/inner-critic-types/ https://www.amazon.com/Trauma-Memory-Practical-Understanding-Traumatic/dp/1583949941/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kintsugi We invite you to join our new group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/healthymindfitbody We appreciate your rating and review on iTunes! http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=332309038 bumper music Kosheen – All in my head (Planet Funk Remix) http://www.kosheen.com

112 – The destroyer

(duration 18:42) In this episode we cover the nature of the inner critic identified as the destroyer. We can tragically internalize severe judgments against our self-worth early in life, in family and cultural systems. And this can lead to self-destructive behaviors and nihilism, as well as actions destructive of others and property. Internally, we can be engaged in a battle with the destroyer in an attempt to quell it, which can contribute to cycles of conflict with self and others. In contrast, when we shift to a perspective to empathy, understanding, and love, we can compassionately connect with the wounds of the past and work to resolve the self-esteem deficit of this inner critic. The following sentence stems might be helpful (try to provide 6-8 endings)… If I were motivated by a belief that it’s safe to exist… If I believe that it’s safer to exist than not to exist… If I can honor my self-worth, even when a part of me doesn’t want to… As I learn to understand the part of me that doesn’t honor myself… http://personal-growth-programs.com/inner-critic-section/inner-critic-types/ We invite you to join our new group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/healthymindfitbody We appreciate your rating and review on iTunes! http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=332309038 bumper music Kosheen – All in my head (Planet Funk Remix) http://www.kosheen.com

111 – The underminer

(duration 20:35) In this episode we explore the nature of the underminer, a major aspect of inner critic that directly diminishes self-confidence and self-respect, detracting from a sense of efficacy and worth. Self-trust gets undermined in the process too, and this is fostered by various domination systems, which question our worthiness, don’t honor our choices, and detract from our inner well-being. Children in families and schools tend to internalize these detrimental processes. Being able to tolerate judgment or failure becomes much more difficult, since the underminer views oneself as “less than,” or not good enough. All this tends to be rooted in shame, which undermines one’s capabilities for growth and joyful, purposeful action. Taking action-oriented steps to achieve objectives can counter the underminer’s influence. The falsehood in its messages about self can be recognized and understood as not helpful. Early experiences that undermined self-esteem need not be perpetuated in adulthood. They can be reflected on with compassion, leading to much healthier integrations about oneself. http://personal-growth-programs.com/inner-critic-section/inner-critic-types/ A resource for our discussion about bone broth in the intro: http://paleoleap.com/troubleshooting-bone-broth-wont-gel/ We invite you to join our new group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/healthymindfitbody We appreciate your rating and review on iTunes! http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=332309038 bumper music Kosheen – All in my head (Planet Funk Remix) http://www.kosheen.com

110 – The guilt-tripper

(duration 23:07) In this episode we delve into the nature of the guilt-tripper, the kind of inner critic that tends to say such things as “You should have done that, instead of this!” or “You shouldn’t have done that—what were you thinking!” This internalized aspect of conditional parenting seeks to keep us informed about how our choices and actions don’t live up to certain expectations or demands. Guilt, which involves moralistic judgment, relates to shame as well: The guilt-oriented notion that one did something “wrong” or “bad” lends itself to thinking of oneself as “wrong” or “bad,” for why would a “good” person do such a “bad” thing? Nonviolent, or compassionate, communication educates us that blaming and shaming take us away from genuine feelings of remorse or regret, which can be constructively processed via helpful strategies that make amends and restore sacrificed needs. Being aware of new choices in the present assists in taking more life-enriching actions. Unfortunately, domination systems in our culture (such as the legal system) train us to think in terms of guilt or innocence, with punishments and rewards doled out accordingly. In this process we can lose an important sense of freedom. So, developing a compassionate, empathetic understanding of the distrustful roots of the guilt-tripper can help us heal this part. Here are a few sentence stems to provide 6-10 endings for: If I were to feel free around food, I might… If it turns out that I don’t have to guilt-trip myself in order to nourish my mind and body… If I can grow out of this guilt-tripping dynamic, I might… If blaming and shaming are tragic expressions of unmet needs… http://personal-growth-programs.com/inner-critic-section/inner-critic-types/ We invite you to join our new group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/healthymindfitbody We appreciate your rating and review on iTunes! http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=332309038 bumper music Kosheen – All in my head (Planet Funk Remix) http://www.kosheen.com p.s., cover art above was gotten from: The Best of Frank Costanza – https://youtu.be/7gVi-kIVY4I?t=204

109 – The perfectionist

(duration 15:24) As we explore various “inner critics,” we’re basically identifying parts that represent aspects of unhealed developmental trauma. In this episode we cover the voice of the perfectionist, which sets oftentimes unreasonable standards and expectations that don’t allow us to live freely with creative ease and peace of mind. Even though doing something “perfectly” is seen in our culture as doing the absolute best, this can overlook unhealthy emotional aspects, such as undue stress, anxiety, self-judgment, and of course the aftermath of diminished self-worth when expectations aren’t met. Our self-worth need not depend on the “perfection” of our various life processes. Commonly, empathy and attunement to self-worth get overlooked by parents and other “authority” figures and, then, by ourselves when we internalize their critical judgments. The notion of perfect functioning as human beings means to honor our fallible nature. To honor our processes of making mistakes and correcting them means that they become less of a big deal, which reflects self-acceptance and self-trust. Here are a few sentence stems to provide 6-10 endings for: If I can strive to do my best without being perfect, I might… If I didn’t have to be perfect, I might… Perfection to me means… http://personal-growth-programs.com/inner-critic-section/inner-critic-types/ We invite you to join our new group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/healthymindfitbody bumper music Kosheen – All in my head (Planet Funk Remix) http://www.kosheen.com
