Show Notes
In this 2021 archive episode of Heal Yourself. Change Your Life., Brandy Gillmore explores a subconscious pattern many people experience without realizing it: when a life of ongoing struggle becomes quietly wired into the mind—shaping both health and life over time.
Many people are accustomed to pushing through, managing stress, or enduring hardship without recognizing how this internal conditioning can keep the nervous system in a state of tension. Even when someone deeply desires ease, healing, or change, this subconscious wiring can continue influencing the body, emotions, and life experiences.
In this episode, Brandy reflects on her work with a kind, thoughtful volunteer named Brian, who reached out after experiencing ongoing pain and discomfort throughout the left side of his body, including his face, chest, arm, and abdomen. Despite medical evaluations, doctors were unable to find a clear explanation, leading Brian to seek deeper insight into what might be affecting his body.
During his session with Brandy, Brian was able to reduce pain on the left side of his chest from a level seven down to nearly zero, allowing him to clearly observe the mind-body connection at work. As Brandy guided him, deeper subconscious patterns began to surface—revealing how long-standing internal wiring around struggle, effort, and safety can quietly keep the body in distress.
Brandy explains how these subconscious patterns can shape life experiences. When struggle becomes normalized at a subconscious level, the mind and nervous system may continue recreating difficulty, even when it leads to pain, stress, or repeated challenges in health, relationships, and daily life.
As these patterns were identified and gently shifted, Brian's nervous system began to settle, allowing pain to release and clarity to emerge.
This episode offers a powerful reminder that emotions don't operate logically—and that identifying unseen subconscious links can be a pivotal step in self-healing!
