Show Notes

Silvia Vasquez-Lavado is the first Peruvian woman to climb Mount Everest, but what makes her really impressive are the mountains she had to scale in her real life. From surviving sexual abuse at a young age to overcoming acoholism to getting into a near-death bike accident to finding out she has a brain tumor, Silvia is the personification of resilience. She teaches us today the one thing that allowed her to heal old wounds + how we can overcome the fear that drives our lives, practice self-compassion, and re-trust ourselves again. Silvia also shares the one thing that helped her curb alcoholism and the piece of advice that comforted her after the sudden death of her partner.

If you feel like you have hit rock bottom, Silvia’s story and lessons will help you begin your journey climbing out of those valleys.
