THIS Is the NEW Hogwarts.. (HBO Series Set LEAK + MORE Updates)
Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. In today’s video we’ll be briefly touching on a few bits of news related to the much-anticipated HBO Harry Potter TV Series. If you don’t know what this show is by now then I don’t really know what to say..Other than it’s impressive that you’ve managed to avoid it somehow. The show has been a talking point on this channel for years now — and what once felt like a far-fetched rumor has slowly become an undeniable reality. And in the most recent update from HBO’s chairman Casey Bloys, it looks like we’ve even got a fairly definitive release date. “We’ve been saying 2027, I would say, to narrow it down to some extent, early 2027. And now you’re going to ask, does that mean January, February, March, April, that we’re not ready to say. I’ll say early 2027.“ It’s always to tell hard how ‘firm’ these release dates given to us by TV execs truly are, but in the context of the Harry Potter show, this does feel very ‘real’ as they’ve only been able to narrow it down further as time goes on. It feels weird to say, but I guess that means the show is coming out in about a year. To get even more excited, let’s take a look at some of the other updates on the show. Everything J.K. Rowling Confirmed on Twitter AFTER Harry Potter Ended
Hey everyone, Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. Over the many years that I’ve done YouTube, I see variations of the same comment pop up on my videos all the time — “Where does all this extra information come from?” And to be honest, this is a fair thing to ask, because very often I go BEYOND the 7 books and pull information from things like extended publications, interviews and most pertinent to today’s video: TWEETS from JK Rowling herself. Some of these secondary sources are an absolute goldmine for digging deeper into Potter lore, and while they sometimes just reveal fairly innocuous things like character birthdays… There’s also lots of good stuff in there that will change not just how you see a character, but also how you interpret major moments in the story. And because a lot of these factoids came from quick, casual replies Rowling posted on Twitter…They would have been pretty easy to miss. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The DARKEST Parts of Dumbledore's Origins the Movies NEVER Explained
In my last video I discussed how the Harry Potter film franchise effectively butchered Voldemort’s character by omitting huge portions of his backstory. I then went on to argue that WITHOUT these character tidbits (well, tidbits if they were massive..what’s the MASSIVE version of a tidbit?) it’s nearly impossible to properly understand Voldemort’s motivations as a villain. Why is he obsessed with immortality? Who were his parents? Why does he feel like he’s got so much to prove? In the films, Voldemort is essentially reduced to “he’s evil… because he’s evil.” Scary dark wizard do bad thing. And while this was certainly less than ideal, we do still get the gist of his—albeit much flatter—character. But for a character like Dumbledore, who has far more moral ambiguity (especially in his earlier years) the omission of these foundational pieces of his story becomes even more problematic. And like Voldemort, Dumbledore’s origins are BARELY touched on in the films. From the films and the films alone we SORT OF get that he’s got some brother drama, some father drama, some mother drama and even some sister drama (if potentially killing her counts as that). But we never see how those events shaped him in to the wise old headmaster of present day. We never see the guilt. The fear of power. The self-imposed restraint that defines who Dumbledore becomes. And perhaps most importantly, his relationship with Grindelwald—the single most consequential relationship of his life—is almost entirely omitted. Today we’ll be diving into territory that the films DIDN’T cover and taking a closer look at the Albus Dumbledore film fans never got the chance to see. Learn more about your ad choices. Why Voldemort’s DARK Origins Were CUT From the Movies
Bold statement here, but if you never read the books- then I’m not sure you understand Voldemort’s character as well as you might think. Because interestingly, despite Voldemort being the primary antagonist in the books and films, as well as arguably the second most important character (next to Harry, of course)- a lot of his origin story actually never made it onto the big screen. Sure, we get some bits and pieces as the films progress, and we get a few flashbacks in the Half-Blood Prince, but honestly, if I hadn’t read the books- I really don’t think that I would have properly understood many of the key components that relate back to his family … In The Half-Blood Prince novel especially, Dumbledore spends a significant amount of time guiding Harry through Tom Riddle’s past using Pensieve memories. They are the blueprint for understanding Voldemort—how he thinks, what he values, and why he made the choices he did. But in the movie adaptation, most of these memories never appear. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
What ACTUALLY Happened to Dumbledore’s Soul After Death? (Stuck Between Life and Death)
A couple of months ago I made a video discussing the fate of Voldemort’s AFTER his final defeat in the Deathly Hallows. And although Voldemort’s death looks fairly different from book to film- DISINTEGRATING into a thousand pieces in the films and simply falling to the ground with mundane finality in the books- one thing remained the same: Voldemort’s soul was completely and utterly destroyed. And unquestionably this was due to his pursuit of Horcruxes. By repeatedly tearing his soul apart—splitting it again and again in the name of immortality—Voldemort ensured that when death finally came for him, there was simply nothing whole left to survive it. And his soul, repeatedly mutilated beyond recognition, was incapable of moving on- forcing him to remain a broken fragment trapped in a state of eternal limbo. But here’s the thing.. Although creating Horcruxes is a sure fire way to destroy the state of your soul, it’s important to remember that it’s not the ONLY way. And this brings into the question the fate of some of the other characters in the series.. In particular, a character with a fairly dubious past: Albus Dumbledore. Learn more about your ad choices. What If Snape STAYED With Voldemort? (The Prophecy FAILS)
What if Snape Never Switched Sides? This one’s going to be a doozy. Severus Snape is perhaps one of the most important characters in the Harry Potter series. He was the man who first delivered the prophecy to Voldemort. He was the man trusted with secrets powerful enough to decide the outcome of the war. He was the man who protected the son of the woman he loved, even when that boy hated him. And perhaps most importantly, he was the man who chose the mission over redemption, knowing history would never forgive him. In fact, Snape’s role in Harry Potter is so deep that it’s hard to imagine the story without him. Neatly every driving plot point and every major turning moment hinges on Snape’s involvement in some way, shape, or form. And all of this just makes the question of him NEVER switching sides even more fascinating. Because if Severus Snape never made that choice—if he never turned against Voldemort—then the story we know simply couldn’t exist. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
7 MORE Major Events BEFORE The Harry Potter Story Started
A while back I released ‘7 Major Events BEFORE The Harry Potter Story Started’ parts 1 and 2- segments of a series where I discuss events that took place PRIOR to the books and films. Harry Potter lore is WAY deeper than some people realize (maybe not tolkien level deep, but that’s asking a lot), so today we’re going to be winding the clocks back once again and exploring 7 more significant events in Harry Potter canon. The last video left us in the early parts of the 16th century, so today we’ll be picking things up in the latter half. Let’s dive into it. Learn more about your ad choices. This Changes EVERYTHING for the Harry Potter TV Show..
Running a Harry Potter channel, I get to see a LOT of opinions. And I mean A LOT. Which means that at any given moment, I’ve got a pretty good idea of where the fandom sits on a particular issue. For example: The Cursed Child is FAIRLY universally hated among Harry Potter purists, enjoyable to casuals, and probably the best thing they’ve ever seen to people unfamiliar with the story altogether. OF COURSE there’s nuance here, as I for example can appreciate the Cursed Child as a separate entity, but basically my point is this: I’ve got a fairly clear understanding of the landscape. And in a time when (let’s be honest) fan expectations for the Harry Potter TV Show are a little glim, it looks we’ve been delivered a great equalizer- something that will appease pretty much anyone that’s been keeping up with the show’s progress. Peter Pettigrew DID Belong in Gryffindor (Here’s Why) - Harry Potter Theory
Peter Pettigrew is remembered..Almost exclusively as a coward and a traitor. A man who betrayed his closest friends, sold out an innocent family, and aligned himself with Voldemort purely out of fear. And after Voldemort’s first downfall, he faked his own death, framed a childhood friend for his crimes, and spent over a decade hiding in the shadows—quite literally—rather than face the consequences of his choices. And yet… Peter Pettigrew was sorted into Gryffindor. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Why Didn’t Dumbledore KILL Tom Riddle to Save Thousands of Lives? - Harry Potter Theory
"Did you know, sir? Then?..." "Did I know that I had just met the most dangerous Dark wizard of all-time? No." These were the words exchanged by Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore after taking a glance in to the Pensieve and observing Dumbledore’s first encounter with a young Tom Riddle. And it’s these words that clarify WHY Dumbledore saved Tom, invited him to Hogwarts, and gave him a magical education. Because you see, Dumbledore, despite a few signs here and there, could never have known that this young troubled boy would go on to cause so much death and destruction. I mean, how could he? But the exchange does make me wonder: what would have happened IF Dumbledore HAD known what young Tom Riddle’s TRUE capabilities were? What if he knew just how many lives he’d claim, and how much destruction he’d cause? Would things have been different? Would he have attended Hogwarts? Just how different would the magical world have been had Dumbledore obtained that singular (albeit, MASSIVE) piece of information. Today we’re going to be answering all of that and more as we discuss a scenario in which Dumbledore WAS aware of Voldemort’s true capabilities. Learn more about your ad choices. Why Hermione DIDN'T Belong in Gryffindor — But Ended Up There Anyway
“How come you’re not in Ravenclaw?” he demanded, staring at Hermione with something close to wonder. “With brains like yours?” Ravenclaw student Terry Boot asks Hermione this directly in Order of the Phoenix, during the DA’s first meeting in the Hog’s Head. And, unsurprisingly, Terry Boot is not the only person to have ever thought about this. In fact, since the Harry Potter books first came out, one of the most pervasive questions surrounding the series is WHY Hermione Granger, one of Hogwarts’ smartest students, WASN’T sorted into its most studious house. Today we’re going to be tackling a question that has long divided fans- Was Hermione Granger truly a Gryffindor— or was she actually meant for Ravenclaw? Learn more about your ad choices. Harry Potter’s Most Powerful Witch Was Almost Forgotten..
What if I told you that there was a witch from Harry Potter lore that, despite possessing levels of power similar to the founders of Hogwarts..No one really talks about. This witch, known more commonly for her title as a ‘sorceress’ was known for her extraordinary magical abilities—so much so that her name became legend, even beyond the wizarding world. Her mastery over spells and enchantments rivaled that of the most powerful sorcerers in history, yet for some reason, she remains overlooked in most discussions of magic. But who was this witch? And why has her legacy faded into obscurity? Today we’ll be discussing all of that and more. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Top 20 Most POWERFUL Wizards & Witches in Harry Potter History (RANKED)
Today we’ve got a bit of an interesting one. Earlier this year, I made two separate videos—one ranking the most powerful wizards, and the other ranking the most powerful witches. In those videos, I covered ten of each. And today, just over 10 months later, we’re going to pitting them against each other and taking a closer look at what the top 20 most powerful looks like..When both groups are ranked together. Before you watch, make sure to comment YOUR top 20 down below, then check back at the end to see how your list differed from mine. What Were House Elves BEFORE They Served Wizardkind? - Harry Potter Theory
If we go strictly by canon, then the only elves that we’re ever made privy to in the Harry Potter universe are house-elves—beings bound to magical servitude, owned by wizarding families, and expected to obey without question. But in one of my previous videos—The History of House-Elves—I introduced the idea that house-elves are likely not a natural, original species at all, but rather the end result of something that happened to elves long ago. I think that there was a time when elves were not bound to masters… A time when they existed independently, outside of wizarding households. And while the books never confirm this outright, the broader context of the Wizarding World makes the idea surprisingly reasonable. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

What If Dumbledore Never Died? (How It Changes EVERYTHING) - Harry Potter Theory
Dumbledore’s death was one of the most heartbreaking moments in the entire series, a turning point that shattered the illusion of safety Harry had always relied on. But not only that, it represented a distinct shift in innocence in the series- a moment that made it clear that no one, not even the greatest wizard alive, was beyond Voldemort’s reach. It also left things looking pretty bleak for the good guys, with Death Eaters taking over Hogwarts, Voldemort’s power growing, and Harry running out of options. And while Dumbledore’s death doesn’t actually happen until the Half-Blood Prince, what many fans may not realize is that it was hinted at as early as Prisoner of Azkaban. Today we’re talking about the Death of Albus Dumbledore—and what might have happened if he’d survived the night atop the Astronomy Tower. How Are Wands CREATED? - Harry Potter Theory
In the past I made a wand documentary that covered all of the wand materials- woods, cores, the lot. I even discussed wand FLEXIBILITY and SIZE, and how those things can be indicative of the type of wizard wielding the wand. But what I strangely never touched on…Was wand CREATION. Or rather, construction. How are wands actually..Made? And what makes this question increasingly interesting is just how few wandmakers there are in the Wizarding World. Sure, it’s possible that we only see a handful of wandmakers in the series, but among the ones we do encounter, it almost feels as though they hold a kind of monopoly. And if they’re truly skilled enough to command that level of dominance, then it only makes me even more curious about what exactly it is they’re doing behind the scenes. Today we’ll be discussing the enigmatic process of WAND making, and (hopefully) unpacking what it is that makes wandmakers like Ollivander so special. Let’s dive in to it. What Happens If You FAIL a Spell? (The DARK Side of Miscasting)
Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. When a young witch or wizard has no understanding of magic, they rely entirely on the way that it’s taught to them. They copy sounds. They mimic gestures, and they perform rituals they barely understand. At Hogwarts, students mostly imitate what their professors demonstrate, and long before that, in magical homes, young witches and wizards often pick up bits of magic just by watching their parents. And by doing these things, they learn the shape of magic, but not the rules beneath it. They don’t know why a wand must move a certain way, or why emotion matters just as much as language. They’re taught how to do magic, but it’s rarely explained why it works. But here’s the thing about magic: it’s wildly unpredictable. It isn’t patient with mistakes, and it certainly doesn’t forgive misunderstandings. Which means that sometimes, when the spell isn’t quite right- it doesn’t just NOT WORK- it actively pushes back. And when magic pushes back, there are consequences. Of course, not every spell fits this criteria. Some spells will just fizzle out or do nothing at all. But the focus of today’s video will be on the spells that DO push back- sometimes with DIRE..Even HORRIFIC consequences. Let’s dive into it. When Harry Potter Fan Culture Goes TOO FAR (Snamione?!)
Hey everyone, welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. Many..In fact, most corners of the Harry Potter fandom are wholesome, creative, and endlessly imaginative… …but there’s one corner — a slightly strange, often bewildering corner — that sometimes even longtime fans tiptoe around. It’s a world where canon, logic, ethics and timelines are seemingly out the window. A world where a simple pairing can ignite hundred-page debates and some truly unhinged works of fanfiction. And at the very center of this storm lies one pairing so infamous, so controversial, so chronically discussed that even mentioning it makes longtime fans flinch. What Actually Happened to Voldemort’s Soul? (A Fate Worse Than Death)
When Voldemort dies in the films, he disintegrates into thousands of pieces and blows away in the wind. And when he dies in the books, his body falls with a mundane finality—revealing something far more fitting. In the end, there is nothing grand or mythic about his death at all. He simply… dies. But in the end, neither depiction of his death answers the real question. His body might fall or crumble, but that tells us nothing about what truly became of him. Not the man, not the flesh… but the part he tried hardest to protect. The part he mutilated in his quest for immortality. His soul. Today we’re going to be unpacking this further and taking a closer look at what may have happened to the most mutilated soul in wizarding history. Why Didn’t Voldemort Seek All 3 Deathly Hallows?
We know Voldemort pursued one of the Deathly Hallows — the Elder Wand — said to be the most powerful wand in all of existence. And the reasons for that seem fairly self-explanatory. Voldemort craved power, and the wand would have been the perfect tool he needed for domination, supremacy, control. And from the moment he became aware of the wand’s existence, his pursuit was relentless. To Voldemort, it was the weapon that would finally secure his victory, the final piece needed to end the boy who lived. But what’s interesting is that he stopped there. The Elder Wand was just one of the three Deathly Hallows — a triad of objects that, when united, were said to make their possessor the Master of Death. And if Voldemort feared death more than anyone who ever lived… If he built his entire life around conquering mortality… Then why didn’t he go after the other Hallows? The Life of Rita Skeeter - Harry Potter’s Most HATED Journalist
There are few witches in the wizarding world who can silence a room quite like Rita Skeeter. Not with a curse — but with a quill. With a quick scribble from her Quick-Quotes Quill, reputations trembled. Careers ended. Truth blurred. And somewhere, behind a thick layer of lipstick and lime-green fingernails, Rita Skeeter smiled with satisfaction. Hermione was certainly never shy in sharing what she thought of her: “You horrible woman. You don’t care, do you? Anything for a story, and anyone will do, won’t they?” But before the headlines, before The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore and her smear campaigns against Harry Potter..Who WAS Rita Skeeter? How did an ambitious Hogwarts student turn into the most reviled journalist of her age? Today we’ll dive in to all of that (AND MORE) as we look at the Life and Lies of Rita Skeeter. Does Hogwarts LIE to the Parents of Magical Children? – Harry Potter Theory
Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today, we’ll be discussing how ordinary Muggles react when they find out that their child is magical. The majority of Muggle-born witches and wizards do not discover that they are magical until they are invited to come study magic as a child. In the United Kingdom, this momentous occasion takes place the year of a child’s eleventh birthday by way of mail. Each young witch or wizard receives their letter of acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry sometime over the summer months before the start of term in the fall. In the case of Muggleborns, Hogwarts dispatches a member of staff to travel to the home of said muggle-born student so that the letter can be properly introduced and explained. Before Voldemort: The Untold Story of Quirinus Quirrell (1967-1992)
The trembling stutter of a nervous man. A turban concealing a horrifying secret. And behind it all: the face of the Dark Lord himself. Quirinus Quirrell is often remembered as the timid, stuttering Defence Against the Dark Arts professor from Harry Potter’s first year at Hogwarts. Nervous, soft-spoken, and constantly hiding behind that signature purple turban — he appeared (at least at first) to be one of the least threatening figures Harry could have encountered. But as we later find out, appearances can be deceiving. By the time Quirrell stood in front of Harry in the Great Hall, the man he once was had already begun to disappear. His brilliant mind, once shaped by academic curiosity, had been twisted by ambition and fear. And in pursuit of recognition he didn’t believe he could achieve on his own, he turned to the darkest source of power imaginable. During the 1991–92 school year, Quirrell became one of the most consequential figures in modern wizarding history — not because of who he was, but because of who he allowed himself to serve. Today, we’re going to explore the full life of Quirinus Quirrell — from his overlooked beginnings as a brilliant Ravenclaw scholar, to the fateful journey that led him into Voldemort’s grasp, and the horrifying transformation that followed. Inside the CHAOS of the New Harry Potter Reboot
Hey everyone, welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. Today’s topic is pretty simple — the upcoming Harry Potter TV reboot, and every controversy surrounding it. The show hasn't even aired yet, but between unexpected casting choices, creative reinterpretations, and the ongoing debate over J.K. Rowling’s involvement, the series has already managed to polarize the Harry Potter fandom — especially amid rumors of a gender-swapped Dark Lord and questions about how “faithful” this adaptation will actually be. And this is YEARS before we’ve even seen a single episode. The REAL Reason Harry Beat Voldemort (CONFIRMED by JK Rowling)
Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. In today’s video, we’re exploring a theory that challenges one of the series’ core assumptions: the belief that Albus Dumbledore was the Elder Wand’s rightful owner. Because according to some fans — and a closer reading of the events themselves — the wand’s true allegiance may not have been with Dumbledore at all. The COMPLETE History of the Deathly Hallows – From the Peverells to Harry Potter
If we trace the origins of the most powerful magical artifacts in history — the Deathly Hallows — the trail always leads back to one family: the Peverells. Three brothers whose story exists somewhere between myth and memory — remembered in children’s tales, but also immortalized in wizarding history. To begin to unravel their story, we have to separate myth from memory — and uncover the truth buried beneath a thousand years of legend. And there’s no better place to start than the story every wizard knows by heart — first written down by Beedle the Bard in the fifteenth century: The Tale of the Three Brothers. The Life of Gellert Grindelwald: The FIRST Dark Lord (1882-1998)
Before he was a name whispered in fear — before Nurmengard, before the Elder Wand, before Dumbledore — there was simply a boy. A brilliant, golden-haired boy, born in Eastern Europe in the late nineteenth century — whose name was Gellert Grindelwald. Little is recorded about Grindelwald’s family or childhood, but what fragments survive describe a wizard of exceptional promise from the very beginning. His ancestry is believed to have been of northern European descent, possibly linked to an old wizarding line with strong magical blood. Whether or not that family shared his views, however, is another question entirely. From a young age, Grindelwald displayed a kind of brilliance that unsettled those around him. He was curious about everything — but especially the boundaries of magic. Most children who show magical ability experiment with simple enchantments or charms. Grindelwald experimented with control — the art of bending will, power, and fate to his own design. Even as a boy, he possessed what Dumbledore would later call “a dangerous gift, the power to make others see what he wanted them to see, to make his lies sound like truth.” See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info. What Happened to These 5 Forgotten Harry Potter Characters After the Books?
In the past, I made a couple of videos covering WHAT HAPPENS to all of the major Harry Potter characters AFTER the books end. In fact, one such video covers the fates of 100 separate characters- exploring what they got up to when Voldemort was defeated and the dust had settled at Hogwarts. But while making those videos, there were a number of characters I encountered whose fates (in the books, films, or both) were left…Pretty unclear. In some instances Rowling left THREADS of what may or may not have happened to them, but overall- their ultimate destinies remain a mystery. Today we’re picking up right where we left off — looking at more familiar faces and uncovering what J.K. Rowling has revealed (or hinted at) about their fates in a post-Voldemort era. Let’s dive in to it. See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info. Learn more about your ad choices. The REAL Reason Dumbledore Never Became Master of Death - Harry Potter Theory
The title of Master of Death is whispered in the wizarding world with awe and fear. It’s said to belong to whoever unites the three Deathly Hallows — the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone, and the Cloak of Invisibility — a collection of artifacts so legendary that even the most brilliant witches and wizards have spent lifetimes chasing them. To hold all three is to hold power beyond measure: the unbeatable wand, the ability to summon the dead, and the means to evade death itself. And ever since Death (or perhaps an unknown powerful wizard) created these artifacts..Few have ever come close to possessing all three. But there is one wizard in particular who WAS close.. Harry Potter Reboot Auditioning FEMALE Actors for Voldemort Role?!
Hey everyone, Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory When Warner Bros. announced that the Harry Potter series would be rebooted as a full HBO production, fans were promised something bold: a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s seven books. More detail, more nuance, more of the cut material the films couldn’t fit. And since it’s announcement, the series has been making headlines on a regular basis, with the latest rumor being the most controversial yet. And it all began with Daniel Richtman, a well-known Hollywood scooper, who recently reported that HBO’s Harry Potter production is auditioning both men and women for the role of Voldemort. “They’re auditioning both men and women for Voldemort so it’s possible we could see a female Voldemort in the Harry Potter series!” You heard that right: Lord Voldemort, the Dark Lord himself, might be played by a woman. Are the Hogwarts House Stereotypes TRUE? - Harry Potter Theory
When a new student arrives at Hogwarts for the first time, one of the first things they’ll experience is the Sorting Ceremony- a right of passage in which you are allocated to one of the Four Hogwarts Houses- Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. And on some level, your House is meant to define the type of person that you are. Gryffindors are brave. Hufflepuffs are loyal. Ravenclaws are smart, and Slytherins are ambitious. At least…that’s what everybody says. But where do these ideas actually come from? And are they really accurate, or are they just oversimplified labels that stuck around because they’re easy to repeat? The COMPLETE History of the Wizarding World: Hogwarts, Azkaban, Diagon Alley & More (COMPILATION)
Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. Today, I’ve got something really special for you- a compilation featuring the history behind nearly EVERY SINGLE magical location of significance in the Wizarding World. This video will feature Diagon Alley, Azkaban, Gringotts, the Ministry of Magic, Hogsmeade, the Leaky Cauldron, Godric’s Hollow, every Wizarding School, every Wizarding prison, the Forbidden Forest & MORE. I’m heading off on a trip to the Harry Potter motherland this week- EDINBURGH- so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to take a look back at years of content and put something special together. Please note that due to the long time frame over which these videos were produced, there may be some variation in audio levels and a small amount of repeated information (though this should be minimal). Anyway, without further ado- let’s dive into this comprehensive history of nearly every Wizarding World location. Was Barty Crouch Jr (FAKE Moody) the Best DADA Professor? - Harry Potter Theory
Today, we’ll be taking a look at the work that Barty Crouch Jr. did in his capacity as Hogwart’s Defense Against the Darks Arts Professor during Harry’s fourth year at school—and whether or not it was actually a better job than the REAL Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody could have done. Before we dive in, I will admit that this may not be the…uhh…HOTTEST take. Across the Internet, from reddit to Facebook, fans of the Wizarding World have posted similar questions and had discussions about this very topic. And yet, I still think it worth our time in analyzing…because despite all that we feel we may know of Alastor Moody, the most amount of time spent with this character is in The Goblet of Fire…and, well, for most of that book/movie, it’s not really him that we’re spending time with but a Death Eater in disguise. As a result, fans of the series may FEEL like they know Mad-Eye…but it was actually Barty Crouch Jr. who they got to know. What Happened to the Dementors AFTER the Deathly Hallows? - Harry Potter Theory
Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. Imagine a creature that doesn’t die, no one can kill, and thrives on misery and despair. A creature that can’t be reasoned with, can’t be bribed, and whose presence alone makes human beings relive their worst moments. Alright, now imagine THOUSANDS of them. Not a great situation to deal with, right? But unfortunately, this is precisely what the Wizarding World, specifically the MINISTRY OF MAGIC- had to deal with after the fall of Voldemort. In some instances Rowling left THREADS of what may or may not have happened to them, but overall- their ultimate destinies remain a mystery. And was Dolores Umbridge ever properly punished for her crimes? Today we’ll be looking at 5 of these characters whose stories were left unfinished — the witches and wizards whose ultimate fates J.K. Rowling never revealed. If you want MORE of these taking a look at even MORE characters, then leave a comment down below.
