Practical effects, hand made miniatures, real explosions, realistic future dystopia, iconic characters, ULTRALITES! What's not to like about Escape from New York? Well, we find a number of holes in the the plot and a few questionable film making decisions that in NO WAY diminish our enjoyment of this movie. Yes this movie has faults but it's a genuine classic that keeps the Month of Action trucking along like a well oiled wrestler.
