Show Notes
In this heart-wrenching episode, a single mother shares her struggle with postpartum depression and the importance of having a support system. As she creates a safe space for other moms, she realizes that she may never have received the help she needed if she hadn't spoken out. But just as she begins to make progress, COVID-19 hits, leaving her and other parents without access to childcare. Will she be able to continue her mission to create a village for struggling parents, or will the pandemic be too much to handle?
This is Nyeshia Gibson's story:
As Nyeshia continued to foster connections among parents through her non-profit Saving AJ, she found strength and healing through the process. With each shared story and piece of advice, the community around her grew stronger. Gradually, she began to see a positive change in not only her own mental health but in the lives of others as well. Now, Nyeshia is a loving advocate for parents who need support and understanding, ensuring that no one has to face their struggles alone. Her dedication to building a nurturing community for parents is a testament to the power of empathy and connection in overcoming life's challenges.
