The New York Blood Center has issued an emergency call for donors, as the region’s blood supply is dangerously low. Type O and type B blood are especially needed. Senior Executive Director of Donor Recruitment Andrea Cefarelli explains the donation process and COVID-19 safety measures. The New York Blood Center has 19 donor centers across New York and New Jersey that operate up to 7 days a week, with morning and evening hours.
