Since the spring, thousands of migrants have been arriving regularly at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan, most of them Venezuelan families escaping the country’s economic collapse. Many of these people lack ties in the city, leaving local official struggling to find temporary housing. Our guest is Dr. Jessica Sessions, of the Bronx-based nonprofit Acacia Network, which has been sheltering many of the newly arrived migrant families at it’s transitional housing sites and connecting them to medical care and other services.
