At the heart of it all is the question: what do these feelings mean? And how can they help guide me to live my life?Changing your perspective on emotions is just one step in developing a better understanding of their purpose in your life. Emotions do play a big role in who you are (even if it doesn't feel that way at times) and they are part of what makes us special human beings and different from every other living thing out there. They're an integral piece of being human; they connect us to each other and to ourselves and keep us in harmony with nature, even if we sometimes don't feel so good or safe with that notion. They spend lots of time lost in their own imagination and internal world, which may at first seem detached or far away. Their unusually rich internal life allows them to excel at creative problem solving, but it also means that sometimes they can miss the big picture. They can become so absorbed by the inner workings of their imagination that they lose touch with their surroundings entirely. When this happens, it may feel to others as if the INFP has disappeared from sight.But because of how our mind works, we actually have a secret INFP advantage.You wrote “be your own cheerleader.”Actually, Eben Pagan who I talked about earlier,his wife is Annie Lalla, who I've mentioned.She's an INFP.They both did like a group coaching program that I got a certificate / certified in.She says that like when you're making a decision to imagine all of your past and future selves,like sitting in the audience and you're on stage.What would you have to do to make all of them clap and be happy?*and people you look up to.We have an advantage, you know, as INFPs, because we do this anyway.We haven't personified a lot of these parts,but we do, we sift through, like, does does this feel right to me?And then, we, we pass around the question and the answerto all of our different parts to try to find what aligns and resonates the most.And seeing different versions of yourself doing it or applauding for you,I think, is maybe a little hack for it.And that's what I do with the cognitive functions.What does my Explorer (Ne) want me to do? Living up to Your Highest Potential with Superheroes and Ancient Wisdom

The word comes from the verb “to work at” or “to exercise.” Arete was used to describe a person who had developed their talents through training and discipline. In other words, they had transformed themselves into someone who could accomplish things they never thought possible.Superheroes embody this type of transformation. They are ordinary people who, through a series of trials and tribulations, learn to harness their inner strength and become something more than human. How to Achieve Big Goals With MiniQuests

Send me a textImagine a world where you can get good at anything and achieve great things. Is that world real or fictional? Here's something that all high-level achievers in life do - and it's also something that many people, as soon as they hear about it, dismiss as being \"too simple\" to be true. The truth is, achieving your goals and getting good at something isn't one big task - it's a series of small tasks that eventually add up to your end goal.Hey I'm Matt Sherman and welcome to Geek Psychology, where we use the concepts and lessons from geek and gaming culture to help us play life better.The first thing you need to do is come up with your mini-quests. Creating your own challenges is like creating your own personal game. It's not a hard task as long as you can come up with good ideas and are able to make them fun, realistic and engaging.To create a challenge that works for you, look at your goals and think about how you could turn them into small tasks. Brainstorming all the things that you could do in order to master something new will help you think of creative ideas and also teach you more about that area of expertise.For example, if I want to start playing guitar, I would think of all the things I can do:- learn chords- practice strumming patterns- learn scales- listen to music by different artists in different genresI would then progress on these areas by making my own mini-challenges each day or week. It's a set of assumptions or rules that we use to make sense of the things we experience. It's like an operating system-it can be outdated and inefficient, but it still gets the job done. And most of us don't think too much about our paradigms unless they stop working for us.But some people undergo a paradigm shift: they find their old operating system no longer works and they need to learn a whole new way of doing things-of seeing things. That's what happens to Doctor Strange on his journey. In this video, I explore how years of playing video games can teach you some surprisingly valuable life lessons about personal growth and change, and how you can take those lessons into every aspect of your life. Do you want to learn how to play life better?When we start to look at games as tools for personal growth, we uncover the fact that we all have countless stories and techniques neurologically wired within us. As gamers, we have more power and skills, than we give ourselves credit for. Here are some lessons I've learned.1 Characters:* We can analyze the challenges we face in life and see how other character classes could deal with them. Each character has a different approach to the challenges that the game creates. We've all been in a situation where we wished we were playing a different character - with a different skill set - to handle the problem more easily. Neuro-Linguistic Programming utilizes the \"As-If\" frame, which says, essentially, \"fake it until you make it\" - or as I like to say \"play it until you're good at it\" because experimenting with different approaches lights up new neural pathways, mirror neurons, and the key to all learning \"curiosity\". These are all important for shaping your actions. And, according to Robert Dilts' Logical Levels, the intentional actions you take will transform the environment you are in.*2 Obstacles:* We can use games as a framework for the mindset that we bring to deal with obstacles in life. It doesn't mean we should sit back and let them distract us from the things we want to do and the goals we want to achieve.But don't let that stop you from being you and doing what you love. The people who are afraid of putting in the effort to achieve their dreams will always try to break other people for doing it better than they can. Don't let that discourage you from playing to win—whether in the game or IRL -because no matter what happens, positive intention backed with focus will lead to improvement.I know how hard it can be when you're doing something new and you're afraid of judgment--when someone makes fun of what you're doing, it stops you in your tracks, right? If you don't know your Myers-Briggs (MBTI) type and the \"cognitive function stack\", this video will be a bit heavy for you. This one is called \"Arbitrary Headcount Limit\" and we're talking about a neuro-linguistic programming technique called \"Perceptual Positions\". Light up new neural pathways, tap into more resourceful states in your brain, and get back out there!You love gaming. So you know what it's like to get obsessed with something.To get so lost in a world that makes sense.And it comes with its own set of rules.And if you've ever been totally engrossed in a game,then you probably know the feeling of getting really invested in a character.And this kind of immersion is actually really useful,you know, when you're playing a video game,you have to learn how to apply different mindsets and strategies in order to win.And it's the same in real life, too.If you're telling yourself things, like, \"I can't do this because I'm not good enough.\"Or \"it's not perfect \" or you're holding yourself back.Well, guess what? In this video I explain how you can deal with confrontational behavior and have an array of different strategies to deal with (and diffuse) difficult situations. It's not that hard because, fortunately, I've used the RPG model to combine Carl Jung's cognitive functions with character approaches and classes.
