Have you heard of the Big Snooze? It's the idea that whenever you're about to take a leap into the next level of your life, your brain will most likely freak out and create corresponding drama. S2 Ep 31Your Family Values Matter Now More Than Ever
trailerOn this podcast, I commonly share ways to overcome your own struggles, to be an example for your family, and create the change you want to see in the world in your home first. The way that I teach this is through knowing and living by your family values. In this episode, I'm going to share how the crises of 2020 are the catalyst for refining your family values and beliefs, while making sure you're actually living by them. This is not a light episode and I will be talking about current events. But this work is necessary and so let's jump in.

S2 Ep 30Agency in Motherhood
Do you ever feel like you can't get anything done because your kids, your partner, your home, or your situation is holding you back? In this episode, I share the concept of agency or the belief in yourself and your ability to take action in your days. This episode will empower you to see yourself and your situation differently.

S2 Ep 29Step Into a New Vision For Your Family
Last week we covered what to do if you're experiencing a problem that makes you feel stuck in your life, which I called tunnel vision. It's the idea that you can't see outside your situation because each day looks exactly the same. If you missed the 4 steps to overcoming tunnel vision, go back to episode 28 before listening to this one because they go together. Today, we are going to dive deep into creating a new vision for your family life. I cannot think of a better time to do this work than right now. And I mean right now. It doesn't matter if you're listening to this the day it comes out or in 3 years. Do this work right away. Let's get to it. Show notes can be found here.

S2 Ep 28Out of Tunnel Vision
Feeling stuck on the daily? Struggling with a problem you just can't seem to solve? This episode really builds on what I talked about in last week's episode on leaving the comfort zone and what the last 18 months or so have looked like for us. What I want to talk about in this episode is what to do if you're in a situation where you can't see clearly where you're going because the problems at home are creating tunnel vision.

S2 Ep 27Leaving the Comfort Zone: What Really Happened Over the Last Year
This episode is going to really cut to the chase of what I've been thinking about lately and processing. It's about getting out of the comfort zone that many of us are currently in and being brave enough to forge the path that you know you are meant for. I'm going to get a bit vulnerable and real with you, something that I don't always do, but it needs to happen. This isn't a parenting episode, this isn't going to give you tips for how to create routines or anything else comforting like that. We've had enough of that. Let's get real, talk truth, and jump on in.

S2 Ep 26Becoming Who You're Meant to Be (Habit Shifts)
When we think of who we truly want to be as women and mothers, habit shifts usually come to mind as the first step. Welcome to Episode 8 of the Streamlined Motherhood Podcast! In this episode, I share a dynamic conversation I had with with Jill Snell, founder of House of Huckleberry magazine. We chat about her motherhood journey, the way she gets so fired up about community and including people of all abilities, and a particularly helpful analogy she uses to navigate the balance of being a working mom. In this Episode Jill shares her motherhood journey, how it has shaped her views on life, work, and balance We chat about her long-term vision for a community in which everyone, of all abilities and backgrounds, would feel welcomed. She shares a particular experience in Target that changed her path and showed her how there is still a need for education and community surrounding families with differently-abled children. We talk about the lessons we've both learned in motherhood and how we've been shaped by them. She also shares an analogy for that elusive work-life balance that is a game-changer.
