In today’s episode, Rick sits down for a first-time podcast episode with Jaina Jordan, a wonderful woman who just so happens to be his high school sweetheart, wife, and the mother to their amazing kids! Their conversation ranges from parenting, to integrating Rick’s busy travel schedule into their relationship, to everything in between.
As for parenting, they advise:
The One Thing (Rick): Blaze the trail for your kids; show them that they can blaze their own. Show them that they can do better; and hopefully, they’ll do even better than you.
The One thing (Jaina): Don’t blame your spouse; take a look into yourself, and really assess if there’s anything you can change to better your relationship.
The (second!) One thing (Jaina): Don’t discourage your kids; cultivate their dreams, even if they seem to fail.
