En: The school stood like a crumbling statue in the drift of the snow, a lonely island in a silent world.
Cy: Roedd ei ffenestri yn gwegian o ddiffyg gwydr; roedd ysgubau o eira yn diflannu ar draws yr ystafelloedd tywyll.
En: Its windows creaked for lack of glass; drifts of snow vanished across the dark rooms.
