Story Transcript:
Cy: Eryrfeydd hir oedd yn eistedd dros fynyddoedd llwyddo'r Beacons.
En: Long shadowed eagles sat over the snowy mountains of the Beacons.
Cy: Golau’r haul gaeaf yn ysgafn yn amlygu eira chwyth yng nghanol y coed noethion – tawelwch trwm yn cuddio hwyliau’r dydd, ond oedd ei angen.
En: The gentle winter sun highlighted blowing snow amongst the bare trees – a heavy silence hiding the day's mood, but it was needed.
Cy: Roedd Valentine’s Day ond doedd dim cariad melys i'r tri chwaer yma.
En: It was Valentine’s Day, but there was no sweet love for these three siblings.
Cy: Gareth, Eleri, a Rhys oedd yno er cof eu tad.
En: Gareth, Eleri, and Rhys were there in memory of their father.
Cy: “Bydd y plannu yma yn barhaol,” meddai Gareth.
En: “This planting will be permanent,” said Gareth.
Cy: “Rhaid i ni wneud rhywbeth er cof am Dad.”
En: “We must do something in memory of Dad.”
Cy: Roedd Gareth, y brawd hyn, yn gymysgedd o deimladau – hiraeth, cyfrifoldeb.
En: Gareth, the elder brother, was a mixture of emotions – longing, responsibility.
Cy: Bydd iddo sicrhau bod teulu’n dal yn gyfan.
En: It was up to him to keep the family whole.
Cy: “Eira’n trwm heddiw, Gareth,” meddai Eleri, yn pori eira sy’n gwympo o’i gwinwydden.
En: “Snow's heavy today, Gareth,” said Eleri, browsing the snow falling from her vine.
Cy: Roedd Eleri yn delio â’i galar trwy dawelwch.
En: Eleri dealt with her grief silently.
Cy: Rhys yn edrych ymhell, ei lygaid yn llawn meddyliau, “Oes rhaid i ni fynd heddiw? Mae’n oer.”
En: Rhys looked far, his eyes full of thoughts, “Do we have to go today? It’s cold.”
Cy: Roedd Rhys yn ddelio gyda’i golled trwy gwynion.
En: Rhys coped with his loss through complaints.
Cy: “Bydd yma yn dda i’r enaid,” Gareth yn berswadio.
En: “This will be good for the soul,” persuaded Gareth.
Cy: “Mae hyn yn mynd i’n uno ni.”
En: “This is going to unite us.”
Cy: Roeddent yn cychwyn ar eu taith, troeddu llwybr eang trwy’r eira.
En: They started on their journey, treading a wide path through the snow.
Cy: Roedd yr eira’n gwasgu dan eu traed.
En: The snow crunched under their feet.
Cy: Cadwodd Gareth lygad am ei chwaer a’i brawd, rhannu stori am eu tad, dyn sydd wedi caru natur.
En: Gareth kept an eye on his sister and brother, sharing stories about their father, a man who loved nature.
Cy: Unwaith eu bod wedi cyrraedd brig y bryn, roedd y gobaith o uno yn troi yn ddadl.
En: Once they reached the top of the hill, the hope of unity turned into a quarrel.
Cy: Dechreuodd Rhys ac Eleri, eu carua y gorau iddynt, ddadlau.
En: Rhys and Eleri, trying their best, began to argue.
Cy: “You ddim y deall fy nheimladau!” bustiai Rhys. Tra oedd Eleri’n profi ei chwmni distaw.
En: “You don't understand my feelings!” burst Rhys, while Eleri offered her quiet company.
Cy: Effaith yr eiliad yn eu dal.
En: The moment’s effect held them.
Cy: Gareth yn teimlo’r cur ym mlâen ei fron, ond gwybod hyn oedd yr eiliad y byddent i adnabod galar annwyl.
En: Gareth felt the ache in his chest but knew this was the moment they would recognize beloved grief.
Cy: “Rhaid i ni wrando ar ein gilydd,” sicrhaodd Gareth iddynt.
En: “We must listen to each other,” assured Gareth to them.
Cy: Cymodi wrth wyneb y moel llechwedd.
En: Reconciliation at the face of the bare slope.
Cy: Roedd dydd yn cilio i’r nos.
En: The day faded into night.
Cy: Vel y soniodd caneri gwaelod, cawsant gwynt ar eu gwefus; cofiant i’w tad drwy emwyd a hadau.
En: As the valley canary mentioned, they felt a breeze on their lips; a memory of their father through compassion and seeds.
Cy: “Plannwn yma,” dywedodd Gareth â’i law yn dawnsio dermau.
En: “We’ll plant here,” said Gareth with his hand weaving terms.
Cy: “Byddai Dad yn falch.”
En: “Dad would be proud.”
Cy: Gwnaethant daith arall ar y llwybr canlyn yr eira.
En: They made another journey along the path following the snow.
Cy: Roedd tai’r Beacons llawn mwynglawdd aur o gof.
En: The homes of the Beacons were filled with a golden mine of memory.
Cy: Erbyn iddynt ddychwelyd, roedd yr hyn roedd yn bwysau ar ysgwyddau Gareth yn ysgafnhau.
En: By the time they returned, what weighed on Gareth's shoulders had lightened.
Cy: Roedd yn deall - nid un dyn oedd gyfrifol am cariadu teulu ond i gyd gilydd.
En: He understood – it was not one man's responsibility to love a family but everyone's together.
Cy: Roeddent oll yn rhan o’r gordyn cryf oedd yn cynnig didol debat gwe o gysur.
En: They were all part of the strong cord offering comfort from a tangled web.
Cy: “Diolchi am y cofion, Dadi,” meddai’r tri wrth droed y bryn, y gwynt yn clodwi arian newydd.
En: “Thank you for the memories, Dad,” said the three at the foot of the hill, the wind whispering new silver.
