Loving Our Enemies ~ THIS or THAT (Matthew 5:43-48)

THIS or THAT ~ Loving Our Enemies (Matthew 5:43-48)In this message, we invite you to join us a topic that can radically change our lives and relationships: loving our enemies. In a world often marked by division and conflict, Jesus’ call to love those who oppose us challenges us to reflect His grace and mercy in our daily interactions. This message will explore the profound impact of extending love and forgiveness to those who have wronged us, and how this act of compassion aligns us more closely with the heart of God.As we gather, we will delve into how loving our enemies not only fulfills Jesus' command but also transforms our own hearts and communities. Whether you're grappling with personal conflicts or seeking a deeper understanding of God's love, this sermon promises to offer practical insights and spiritual encouragement. To fully gain understanding, we'll also visit one of Jesus' most famous parables he delivered while we answer the question:Who is my neighbor?Need Prayer? Conflict in Relationships (This or That)

THIS or THAT ~ Conflict in Relationships (Mathew 5:38-42)Conflict in relationships is something we all face, whether with friends, family, or even our enemies. But how we respond to these conflicts can either fuel the fire or bring about peace. This week, we’ll explore Jesus’ radical teachings on handling conflict, where He calls us to a higher standard—not to retaliate, but to respond with grace, creativity, and generosity. Imagine what our world would look like if we all chose to turn the other cheek, give more than what’s demanded, and go the extra mile.In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus challenges us to rethink our approach to those who wrong us. Instead of getting even, He urges us to respond in ways that uphold our dignity and reflect God’s love. Whether it’s turning the other cheek, offering our coat along with our shirt, or carrying a burden further than required, Jesus’ teachings invite us into a way of life that transforms conflict into opportunities for reconciliation and healing.Need Prayer? We'll also delve into the inspiring story of Daniel in the lion's den from Daniel chapter 6, a powerful example of unwavering faith and integrity. Our Identification in Christ

In today's message, we will deepen our understanding of Our Identification in Christ through three powerful images. We will explore Jesus' powerful call for us to be the salt of the earth, the light of the world, and a city on a hill, as found in Matthew 5:13-16. We'll examine how being the "salt of the earth" means preserving goodness and enhancing the lives around us. We'll discuss the significance of being the "light of the world," illuminating the darkness and guiding others to God's truth. Lastly, we'll look at what it means to be a "city on a hill," living visibly and influentially for Christ. Together, we'll discover practical ways to embody these images and make a profound impact for God's kingdom.Need Prayer? “Hope from the Book of Revelation”

Recent news of the war and atrocities in Israel at the hands of a terrorist organization, Hamas, has no doubt evoked some reactions. For some, it is the emotion of FEAR... What does this war mean? What's next? How long will the war last? How much will our country be involved? Will we go to war? For some, it is paralyzing ANXIETY... Is this the beginning of the end? What should I expect next? Is the news telling me everything I need to know? And for some, perhaps it's just ANGER... Angry at the terrorists. Angry at the shape the world is. Angry at the way our government is responding. Angry at the way our government isn't responding. Scripture begs us to consider a different way to think about these events and the end times. Today we take a closer look at the book of Revelation in order to gain a better understanding, a clearer perspective, and ultimately grasp onto the living hope that only Jesus provides.
