I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Robert J. Hunt about the power of accountability. Robert shared openly about his own journey to financial freedom and how taking ownership changed his life. I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Amelia Walden, author of the inspiring new book "From Jew to Gentile." In our conversation, Amelia shares her incredible story of coming from a Jewish/Catholic background to discovering a personal relationship with Jesus. Even after attending Catholic school, she realized she knew little about the Bible or what it means to know God. It wasn't until attending a local church service as an adult that the gospel truly clicked for Amelia. She vividly recalls hearing the pastor mention the book of "Johnny" (John), which opened her eyes to how much she still needed to learn. From that point on, she was hungry to dive deeper into scripture and build an authentic faith of her own. Amelia is so transparent about the ups and downs of her journey - from having a negative view of Christians to finally embracing the grace Jesus offers. No matter your background, I think you'll find a lot of wisdom and encouragement in her story. I recently had an impactful chat with Logan Hufford, a man who has an incredible story of finding hope and healing from sexual addiction. Logan was trapped in a cycle of porn, affairs, and seeing prostitutes for years. He felt overwhelmed by shame and like there was no way out. But when his wife gave him an ultimatum to get help or lose his family, it was a wake-up call. In this video, Logan walks through his journey to recovery. He shares about the Christ-centered 12-step program he joined, about retraining his brain and building new neural pathways, and the vital role community played. I loved hearing how Logan emphasizes recovery must address all areas - spiritual, scientific, and practical. Just "getting your heart right" isn't enough. Lasting change requires tangible actions too. Logan also talks about resources that were helpful for him, like the Psalms, his Instagram account @nolongerinbondage, and the Conquer Series. I hope Logan's story gives hope to anyone feeling trapped in sexual sin or addiction. There is a way forward, and people who will walk with you. I recently had the privilege of chatting with Dr. David Chotka, a pastor and author who has traveled the world equipping persecuted and impoverished churches. His stories of seeing the raw faith of believers in places like Ukraine and Uganda firsthand were incredibly inspiring. These persecuted Christians had next to nothing materially, yet their joy and trust in God in the midst of horrific circumstances was profound. Dr. Chotka shared transparently about his own journey with his wife's battle with a wasting muscle disease. After years of praying, they realized they needed to shift their focus from seeking healing to seeking the Healer himself. Soon after, on a trip to serve churches in Africa, Dr. Chotka witnessed his wife miraculously healed after over 20 years of living with her condition worsening. I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Dawn Irons, a counselor educator with over 15 years of experience in private practice. She shared some eye-opening insights into the rising influence of social justice ideology in counseling programs and how it can negatively impact religious clients. Dawn explained how today's counseling students receive very biased training that pits protected classes against each other. Many programs aggressively push LGBTQ causes while dismissing religious beliefs as something to "correct." This prevents therapeutic self-exploration and infringes on clients' cultural rights. We discussed the importance of informed consent so people can choose counselors who respect their worldview. I recently had the pleasure of chatting with author Ari Mendelson about his fascinating Kingmaker book series. Ari's personal journey of rediscovering his Jewish faith and learning ancient Hebrew texts using memory techniques was truly inspiring. But what really captured my attention was the underlying premise of his books - the terrifying prospect of AI "persuasion technology" being weaponized to manipulate human behavior. Ari vividly describes his villain using algorithms to electronically seduce women and influence families. It raised profound ethical questions around consent, free will, and moral culpability that gave me chills! I don't want to give away any spoilers, but Ari ultimately proposes that the key to resisting high-tech persuasion is to see the world as a collection of "tiny facts" rather than easily manipulated grand narratives. Understanding truth at a granular level protects us from the tyranny of weaponized storytelling. Ari also stresses the importance of sharing stories that reflect our values. Politics flows downstream from culture, so we need compelling counter narratives to push back against the woke dominance of pop culture. Ari sees his novels as a small contribution to that effort - but we all have a role to play. I recently had an inspiring chat with Caleigh Weichbrodt, who has an incredible testimony of being radically transformed from hardcore atheism and addiction to finding new life in Jesus. Hey friends! I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Eleanor Clark, a fellow therapist who specializes in treating eating disorders and struggling with body image. Eleanor shares so openly about her own journey recovering from an eating disorder, and how that personal experience led her into this field and helped grow her passion for helping others. I found it insightful how she talks about the uniqueness of each person's eating disorder - it's not a one-size-fits-all approach. A big theme from our discussion was around the concept of body neutrality rather than body positivity. Eleanor explains how body positivity, while sounding good in theory, often sets people up for failure and guilt when they can't live up to loving their bodies all the time. She realized the approach of body neutrality was more sustainable for her clients long-term. Towards the end, Eleanor also opens up about starting her podcast and speaking out on some controversial issues around gender-affirming care for minors. I'm back with an inspiring chat with ceramic artist Morgan McCarver. She shares her journey into pottery after back surgery ended her dance career. I recently had an eye-opening chat with pastor and author Robert Bass about the connection between our physical and spiritual health. As someone who used to struggle to balance those areas of my life, our conversation really hit home. After a bad motorcycle accident, Robert learned firsthand how being physically healthy can aid recovery. But more than that, he discovered the deeper links between caring for our bodies and nurturing our relationship with God. I loved Robert's perspective on living purposefully through that connection, not chasing external destinations. He shared how having inner peace, joy, and love - despite tough situations - attracts others who want what we have. His advice?
