My guest today is Philip Blackett, an author, consultant, and entrepreneur with an intriguing background. We get into some interesting topics like respectfully disagreeing in today's polarized climate and how Philip's Christian faith transformed him from having more liberal leanings to adopting a conservative worldview. I was drawn to Philip's book "Disagree Without Disrespect" and his framework for having debates and tough conversations while building relationships. He shares a simple 5-step approach that anyone can apply to politics, religion, family matters - you name it! Philip also opens up about his personal journey shifting from liberal to conservative beliefs within the Black community, which became the premise for his book "Jesus Over Black." We talk about the importance of basing your politics on biblical principles rather than personality or peer pressure. And with the 2024 election heating up, Philip offers great advice for Christians thinking through who to vote for when both sides have flaws. Guys, this conversation barely scratched the surface!
