Parrish and Norlander open the show by discussing what would prevent Gonzaga from being a No. 1 seed/living up to expectations, and then at the 19-minute mark, the guys get into Norlander's list of the 15 best non-Gonzaga teams from outside the power-conference structure. Come here to find your future Cinderellas, but even more than that, some of the veteran-laden mid-major teams that will work their way near or into the top 25 this season. League preview, picks, predictions: The SEC (College Basketball 10/29)

Our final big conference preview homes in on a league that could send as many as eight to the tourney. Parrish and Norlander save their longest league preview for last, as the SEC has eight compelling teams with realistic chances of making the 2022 NCAA Tournament. The league breaks down into three tiers: some combination of Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas and Tennessee. Then a quartet of Alabama, Mississippi State, Florida and LSU. And then the other six teams, of which at least one could reasonably be the surprising breakthrough and finish in the top half of the conference. Let's dive in. League preview, predictions, picks: The Pac-12 (College Basketball 10/28)

The Conference of Champions is coming off an all-time heater in the NCAA Tournament. What's the follow-up going to be like? Matt Norlander and Gary Parrish have UCLA at No. 1 with a bullet, then think Oregon and USC will give decent chase. But reality is, this could be a four-bid league in 2022. Hard to see how it gets more than five, but we've got thoughts on every team, of course. Our series continues with a look around what's out West, including why Washington State will play in the postseason for the first time in a decade. League preview, predictions, picks: The Big Ten (College Basketball 10/26)

Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander continue their preseason package of power-conference previews with a look at the B1G. It's probably going to be the best league in America, and should have the most compelling race at the top. Michigan, Purdue, Illinois = the clear-cut top three. Ohio State = very strong No. 4. Then? Maryland, Indiana and Michigan State are forecasting as comfortable NCAA Tournament teams. Rutgers:also still pretty good! What's a reasonable expectation for Iowa after Luka Garza's departure? Is Fred Hoiberg's Nebraska team the most underrated in this league ... or is that Northwestern (?!). So much to discuss. NIL era officially arrives; Penny stays at Memphis; five big roster decisions this week (College Basketball 07/01)

July 1, 2021, truly signals a watershed day for college athletes. Now every NCAA athlete can profit off their name, image and likeness, as the NCAA officially pushed through a temporary rule that enables all schools to determine (unless their state laws mandate otherwise) how student-athletes can legally make money while still in college. It's a huge day, and we've got a long conversation on that. The interesting, the funny, the fallout and more. That's the first 36 minutes of this podcast. Then Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander get to Penny Hardaway (38:00) staying at Memphis, despite recently interviewing for the Orlando Magic job, and hiring 80-year-old Larry Brown to his staff in the process. The guys close with some news and notes from this week on important players (51:00) staying or going with top 25-level programs. NBA Draft profiles: Scottie Barnes has top-three upside and would be a good-to-great fit with almost any team in the top 10

Norlander loves Scottie Barnes, placing him at No. 3 on his big board. Parrish slots him No. 6 to Oklahoma City in his latest mock draft. It seems the most likely landing spot for Barnes will fall between No. 5 and No. 8. But what's there to love? Well, almost everything about his game — except the one thing that matters most. Therein lies the rub. Listen to learn more. To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. NBA Draft profiles: The Orlando Magic have the No. 5 pick. Will they trade it, or will they use it to draft Jonathan Kuminga?

He didn't play college basketball, and he's not a top-tier prospect in this year's draft. But is Jonathan Kuminga for sure the best option at No. 5? What will the Magic do with that pick? Norlander doesn't regard Kuminga as a top-10 pick in this year's field, while Parrish slots him No. 5 in his latest mock draft, which you can scroll through here as you listen to the pod. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/nba-mock-draft-2021-cade-cunningham-goes-to-the-lottery-winning-pistons-at-no-1-jalen-suggs-to-rockets/ To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. The Supreme Court rules 9-0 against the NCAA in one of the most significant college cases ever (College Basketball 06/21)

Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander offer their insights and opinions on what Monday's huge news means. The Supreme Court returned its opinion on the NCAA v. Alston case, ruling 9-0 in favor of Alston, which equates to a win for college athletes everywhere. While the case did not tie to paying players, the Court did send a message to the NCAA that its current definition of amateurism falls outside of antitrust laws. It's a huge day for the future of collegiate athletics. To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. We’ve got a fun, thought-provoking offseason ep for you here. There's still a chance Jalen Suggs could go No. 1 overall in July's NBA Draft. If that happens, it's going to be for the reasons detailed on this 25-minute podcast that evaluates Suggs' story, stats at Gonzaga and NBA projection. Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander lay out the case for Suggs to be as immediately impactful as Ja Morant and potentially as valuable as Donovan Mitchell. NBA Draft profiles: USC's Evan Mobley is the best big in the 2021 Draft. If he hits his ceiling, Anthony Davis is the ideal comp

We continue our weekly, up-to-the-draft specialized episodes on the top prospects by focusing on 4/5 hybrid big Evan Mobley, who was the Pac-12's Player, Freshman and Defensive Player of the Year last season. Mobley has been touted as a potential No. 1 pick for more than three years now. Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander evaluate his case, with some thoughts from USC coach Andy Enfield included. As for the best comp, there's a name aside from Anthony Davis (and Kevin Durant, silly as that is) to consider. Overtime Elite swoops in and pays a couple of prospects more than $1 million; the absurd/sad extortion story at Louisville (College Basketball 05/21)

Friday's news: a couple of highly rated, five-star prospects in the class of 2023 will commit to playing for Overtime Elite, a fledgling league backed financially by the likes of Kevin Durant, Drake and Jeff Bezos. GP and Norlander open with thoughts on that and explain the difference between the viability of a league like this and why it barely affects college basketball. The second half of the podcast (27:30) focuses on the wild story from earlier in the week: former Louisville assistant Dino Gaudio was charged with extortion after he made threats to his boss, Chris Mack, after Mack did not renew Gaudio's contract. Again: WILD STORY. To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. We've never seen a Kentucky team like this; Gonzaga will again be No. 1; active coaches next up for Hall of Fame (College Basketball 05/17)

Kentucky received two significant backcourt commitments in recent days: five-star point guard TyTy Washington and Georgia transfer Sahvir Wheeler, who led the SEC in assists last season. Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander open on Kentucky’s newest ranking and why this team looks different from any other ever under John Calipari. And while UK should be good, Gonzaga (12:00) will be great. The Bulldogs received a commitment from a point guard that only reinforces why the Zags will open the season ranked first. To wrap, the guys talk Jay Wright (22:00) making the class for the 2021 Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame, and Norlander peppers Parrish with 12 active coaching candidates’ cases to eventually get in. That's funny: Mark Emmert now asking NCAA to put name, imagine and likeness rules on the books ASAP (College Basketball 05/11)

Mark Emmert told The New York Times over the weekend that he wants the NCAA to have name, image and likeness rules on the books by July 1. Why July 1? That's when five states will have their own rules go live. It's a sticky situation, and change of tune, for the president of the NCAA. This is a story with a few layers, and we continue to follow and keep you up to speed on it because it's a huge story -- the biggest -- in college athletics this spring and summer. Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander also touch on Hartford (20:30), fresh off its first NCAA Tournament in school history, heading to D-III ... unless something can be changed in the next couple of months. Here is Dennis Dodd's story on NIL that's referenced in the pod: https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/ncaa-rushing-a-name-image-likeness-rule-as-its-power-over-college-athletics-is-quickly-diminishing/ To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. Should college basketball go to six fouls? And quarters? Plus: Gonzaga-UCLA rematch imminent, and Kentucky loads up (College Basketball 05/06)

GP’s feeling a little froggy, so beware! The guys are back to discuss three topics: the rules changes that could be coming to college basketball next season, Gonzaga-UCLA (23:40) closing in on playing each other and why other top-20 programs should be trying to do the same right now, and Iowa’s CJ Fredrick committing to Kentucky (42:00), bolstering the Wildcats’ desperate need for 3-point shooting. The end has some fun housekeeping notes as well. Terry Teagle … no longer a legend?
