Leah Song: Singer and Songwriter of Rising Appalachia – 089

This week’s Extraordinary Women Radio interview is with Leah Song, one of the singers and songwriters of Rising Appalachia. Two years ago as the seeds to this podcast were being planted, I made a list of about 20 women I’d love to interview on Extraordinary Women Radio. Rising Appalachia was at the top of my list. There’s something to be said for writing down your goals, my friends! The harmony of Leah Song and Chloe Smith, the founding sisters of Rising Appalachia, has a sense of deep rootedness, playful exploration, and inspired action. Their sound and message, suggest that voices and traditions, brought together through song, may be one of the saving graces to a world in distress. As someone who loves music – is touched by music – I feel their work is so important. In a time when the fabric of our communities and culture often appear to be unraveling, their interweaving of music and mission, old traditions with new interpretations, creates an atmosphere of contagious hope and bliss. Leah tells so many wonderful stories in this interview! She shares how she and her sister Chloe created an album as a gift to their parent as teenagers, which would unexpectedly launch their career. We talk about how folk story and folk music has shaped the soul-touching songs of Rising Appalachia. We jam about going slow amidst the growth, and Leah shares for the first time behind the mic, the meaning behind her spiral tattoo. You know I had to ask! I love this interview and felt so blessed to get to interview this soulful sister. “It feels really like the fabric of our lives to put together stories through all these different tapestry of songs.” – Leah Song And a big surprise in the end! Leah shares a small snippet of a song that is going to be on their new album! Enjoy! To learn more about Leah and Rising Appalachia, visit their website or you can follow her on any of her social channels, including Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. Let’s meet Leah Song – the singer and songwriter of Rising Appalachia. Leah-Song-Show- Notes

Hand analysis can bring meaningful insight into our emotional health, our innate life purpose, our outlook, and our overall tendencies, all which can be found in the prints of our hands. The lines in our hands mirror the neural pathways in our brains. How powerful is Scientific Hand Analysis, you might ask? It is so accurate, profound, and life-changing that FORBES wrote an article about Jayne and her work. In our interview today, Jayne tells us more about scientific hand analysis and why it’s so accurate! “Face the fear. To really get on purpose – you have to step off the cliff!”~Jayne Sanders And if you’re at Extraordinary Women Ignite, Jayne will be doing mini-hand analysis in her booth… helping our attendees tune into their purpose and any tendencies that might be getting in the way! And Jayne is one of our speakers who will be igniting the pathway for the extraordinary women in attendance! I hope you’ll be there! Get your tickets before the prices go up! You can learn more about Jayne on her Purpose Wisdom website or Facebook page or follow Jayne on Facebook or LinkedIn. Now, let’s meet the fabulous Jayne Sanders!

Meghann Conter: Marketing and Branding Expert and Founder of the Dames – 068

I’m so excited to share today’s Extraordinary Women Radio interview with you with my good friend, Meghann Conter. Meghann and I are collaboration partners – we do strategic thinking together, make referrals to one another, cheer each other on and lean into each other when things aren’t working the way we’d like them to. And Meghann – I’m thrilled to say is on fire right now in her business and her life. She’s in the flow. She made some pretty big shifts in her life in the past year though – she had to let go of the things that weren’t serving her – the things, as she says, “that had to be left behind” in order to get to her BHAG – her big hairy audacious goal. Meghann is vulnerable in sharing her story today. Nine months ago, she felt called to leave alcohol behind – for her life, her relationships and for where she wanted to take her company. And when she made the decision – life shifted, her business shifted and she shifted. Her raw story of struggle opened the door to huge transformative expansion. I love sharing her courageous story with you. What I particularly love about Meghann’s story is how she totally trusted her inner guidance – the universal clues that were guiding her. It was in this trust that the flow came for Meghann. Meghann is a marketing and branding expert who specializes in helping companies led by female industry leaders leap over revenue targets. Meghann is also the founder of The Dames, a national community that celebrates high-level leaders in nonprofits and corporations. Meghann is a champion of connection, and believes that anything can be accomplished through fearless collaboration and laughter. To learn more about Meghann and her work, visit her Meghann Conter website or follow her on Facebook or Twitter. You can also check out the Dames website or Facebook group. Dorie Clark: Harnessing Your Entrepreneurial You – 066

Today’s guest on Extraordinary Women is Dorie Clark, author of Entrepreneurial You, Stand Out and Reinventing You. After being on the talking circuit for her book Stand Out, speaking around the world on how to become a thought leader and recognized expert, Dorie had an epiphany that led to her next book, Entrepreneurial You. She realized that being a thought leader wasn’t sufficient – you have to learn to monetize that high repute. While she still believes that it is essential in today’s modern economy to build a brand as a recognized leader in our field so that we’re not a commodity, she knew there was more to building a successful business. So she set out to talk to 50 leading entrepreneurs on the subject. What Dorie learned from those interviews, was there’s not one way – people are succeeding in a lot of ways. The key, however, is that they have multiple income streams. The entrepreneurs that she spoke to had mastered the skill of managing multiple income streams, which provided resiliency in the downturns, and provided much more upside. As Dorie shares in our interview, “If you want to solve a problem, ask a lot a people.” Dorie did that, and then she applied that to her own business. By applying the techniques she learned in writing Entrepreneurial You, Dorie brought an additional $193,700 of revenue in the same year she wrote the book. This interview is a must for entrepreneurs interested who are ready to take their business to the next level. We talk about building a business aligned to who you are, best practices in building online courses, transition and more. Dorie has so much wisdom to share. Dorie is an adjunct professor at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and the author of Entrepreneurial You, Reinventing You and Stand Out, which was named the #1 Leadership Book of 2015 by Inc. magazine. A former presidential campaign spokeswoman, the New York Times described her as an “expert at self-reinvention and helping others make changes in their lives.” A frequent contributor to the Harvard Business Review, Dorie consults and speaks for clients including Google, Microsoft, and the World Bank. She is also a producer of a multiple Grammy-award-winning jazz album. You can download her free Entrepreneurial You self-assessment workbook and learn more at dorieclark.com/entrepreneur. “If you want to be sought out, people need to know what you think. Joanne Wilson: Gotham Gal and Angel Investor – 065

Today’s Extraordinary Women Radio guest is Gotham Gal and angel investor, Joanne Wilson. Joanne has a portfolio of over 90 companies, such as Lately (you might remember my episode a few months ago with founder Kate Bradley Chernis), Food52, Sweeten, Vengo, Nestio, Flip, Clutter, and Union Station. Joanne shared, “In general, I’m looking for really smart, scrappy founders that have tenacity, that are out of the box, and are survivors.” Joanne has had many careers before she found her way into angel investment, and she shares some of her reinvention stories in our interview today. She believes that necessity is not only the mother of invention but also of constant reinvention because as an individual, a company, or brand, you have to be able to think ahead to stay ahead of the curve. Sometimes, what you think of as a misfortune, like losing a job, is actually a blessing in disguise. Joanne co-founded the Women’s Entrepreneur Festival in 2011 which is a conference for a community of women entrepreneurs. While the Festival was put on hold for a few years, she’s currently working with Brazen to bring it back in 2019. At the end of the day, what she hopes for women is equality in consideration of your unique multi-layered dimensions. She has maintained her very popular blog, gothamgal.com for over 13 years and has recently taken her talents to the airwaves on her podcast, Positively Gotham Gal, as another medium for having profound conversations with women. And if there are three pearls of wisdom she wants to impart to women, it would be self-awareness, trusting your gut, and following your heart. I’m thrilled to introduce you to Gotham Gal – Joanne Wilson!

And what’s really extraordinary, is that Jamie has brought her teaching to the Middle East Aikido Project to help unite Israelis and Palestinians through the Martial Art of Peace. Arabs and Jews are now meeting on the mat to explore non-violent conflict resolution and possibilities for peace. Wendy Leone: Partner and Business Manager for Mt Hood Steel & Wood, Building High Rises in the Pacific Northwest – 055

Today on Extraordinary Women Radio I am so excited to share this interview with Wendy Leone – a partner in a steel & construction company – Mt. Hood Steel & Wood – building high rises in Portland and across the Northwest. Wendy is a friend of my son Josh, who I had the opportunity to meet last summer when I was visiting. I fell in love with Wendy the moment I met her, and you will too! In our interview, she tells the story of how she and her brothers started this company from the seedlings of a dream, and what’s it’s like to be a woman in the very male dominated steel industry. If you drive around the thriving city of Portland, many of the rising skyscrapers you see are being built by Mt. Hood Steel & Wood. And not only is Wendy a make-it-happen business owner in the steel industry… She’s also an incredible rock climber and we dig into some of the lessons that climbing teaches her, and how they parallel running a $1 million+ steel company! Wendy is an advocate for more women stepping into the construction industry! She shares, “Women can make a really good living being a welder, electrician or plumber with great benefits. Women are strong enough and tough enough to be out there. And from my experience, women’s pay in the construction world is equal to men’s.” That was exciting news to me! Wendy’s story from humble beginnings to all she’s doing today is inspiring and uplifting! For those of you tuning in – from Portland – mark your calendars and come meet both Wendy and I on July 18th, when I’ll be speaking at the Portland eWoman Network monthly meeting. Fear isn’t a bad thing. I enjoy pushing myself past what I am comfortable with. ~Wendy Leone To learn more about Mt. Kate Bradley Chernis: Founder & CEO of Lately – 048

Today’s Extraordinary Women Radio interview is with Kate Bradley Chernis, the Founder & CEO of Lately. Kate is a former rock ‘n roll disc jockey turned tech CEO, and she’s as real as they come! Kate shares what it was like to raise $2.2 million in the tech world as a woman, and gives some good advice to my listeners who are raising capital. We talk about marketing that creates real connection and community in business. Kate shares how she listens to her intuition and how important it is to just show up as ourselves. It’s a fun interview and I know you’re going to love this! As a former marketing agency owner, Kate, initially created the idea for Lately out of spreadsheets for then-client, Walmart. Well, not just Walmart. It was a partnership between Walmart, United Way Worldwide, National Disability Institute, and tens of thousands of local, small business and nonprofit affiliates who were all using her spreadsheet system – because they all had the same problems: a lack of coordination, widespread redundancies, no visibility and no organization. With Kate’s spreadsheet system, they achieved a 130%, three year, year-over-year ROI. In fact, Kate found similar success with all of her clients, regardless of industry or company size. So, along with one heck of a superhero team, she created Lately to organize the mess, automate repetitive processes and eliminate the “overwhelming” feeling that every marketer she’d ever met had complained about. As a former VP of marketing – I get this. As a CEO of my own company – I really get this. I love Lately. Prior to founding Lately, Kate served 20 million listeners as Music Director and on-air host at Sirius/XM. She’s also an award-winning radio producer, engineer and voice talent with 25 years of national broadcast communications, brand-building, sales and marketing expertise. To learn more about Lately, visit their web site at www.trylately.com, or follow them on Facebook or Twitter. Follow Kate on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. Let’s meet Kate Bradley Chernis of Lately. In 2014 Lindsey Laurain – today’s featured guest on Extraordinary Women Radio – and her husband were fed up with messy mealtime with their three young boys. Gail Schoettler: 2018 Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame Inductee and former U.S. Ambassador, Colorado’s Lt. Governor and State Treasurer – 046

Today, I’m honored to bring you the sixth and final contemporary 2018 Inductee to the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame: Gail Schoettler. It’s a great interview and just in time for the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame Induction Gala this coming Wednesday, March 28! Dr. Gail Schoettler has been a U.S. Ambassador, Colorado’s Lt. Governor and State Treasurer, Douglas County school board president, and a successful businesswoman. She narrowly lost her race for governor of Colorado in 1998. That was the same year Dottie Lamm ran for US Senate. Since that time, not a single woman has run for governor or US senate in Colorado until this year… Listen to what Gail has to say about this. It’s a great interview. I think this is going to change. As I was preparing for this interview, I ran into this statistic… “During the full 2016 election cycle 920 women contacted EMILY’s List, an organization that recruits and trains women to run for office. And that was a record year. Since Election Day 2016, more than 34,000 women have reached out to Emily’s List about launching a campaign.” Hmmm… do you think times are a changing? Gail shares advice on how women can get involved in politics, about her lessons that she learned in her many years of politics, and why it’s so important right now. She is particularly passionate about women running for governor and US Senator across the country, strongly believing that when women support women, women win. She co-founded Electing Women and the Electing Women Alliance to get women involved in raising money for women running for governor and US Senator across the country, strongly believing that when women support women, women win. I love Gail’s perspective on our current political environment. The only way to be successful in politics, is to look for ways to be inclusive and find compromise and begin to listen to one another. There’s too many people saying, ‘it’s my way or no way.’ That’s really scary. You can’t solve problems with that. ~Gail Schoettler In 1976 Gail joined the organizational group which would file for a National Bank to be located in downtown Denver to serve the needs of small businesses. After raising the $2 million capitalization required, in 1978, she helped found the Women’s Bank in Denver. She was also one of the founders of the Colorado Children’s Museum. Let’s meet Gail Schoettler, a 2018 inductee to the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame! *** The Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame mission is to inspire by celebrating and sharing the enduring contributions of Colorado’s distinctive women. To achieve this, the Hall educates the people of Colorado about the stories of the women who shaped our state and the nation’s history with courage, leadership, intelligence, compassion, and creativity. Their talents, skills, struggles, and contributions form a legacy that the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame is dedicated to protecting. I invite you to join us at the March 28, 2018 Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame 2018 Inductee Gala by purchasing your ticket here. Ten things I learned from one year of hosting Extraordinary Women Radio

This week marks the one year anniversary of Extraordinary Women Radio! What a ride it has been! In every interview this year, our conversations have been rich, the stories shared deep and wisdom filled. My guests have opened their hearts and shared their most vulnerable moments. They’ve shared heartbreak and they’ve shared success. All of them have been inspirational. At the end of every episode, my 43 guests offered three pearls of wisdom. Their responses have been profound, thought provoking and foundational principles that can truly shape our journeys, if only we apply them. This week, my team compiled these pearls of wisdom into a single document, and you can download it at https://www.kamiguildner.com/pearlsofwisdom. That is 129 pearls of wisdom gathered from some very extraordinary women. You will want to grab this one. It’s something that you’ll be able to turn to again and again. I’m going to keep a copy of this in my journal for reflection on a daily basis. As I sat down to start to reflect on all the amazing gifts and great wisdom that flowed my way as a result of the 43 interviews I’ve done this year, I was filled with gratitude and appreciation that Extraordinary Women Radio has come to be a part of my own journey. In my journaling this morning I wrote a list of 10 things that I’ve personally learned in this year in all of these amazing conversations. I’m going to share it with you today. Passion matters. Every single woman I had the opportunity to interview this year – had a huge passion for their work, for why they bravely put their voice out into the world. I’ve heard people poo-poo the concept of following your passion. I so don’t agree. We get up every day bringing our gifts into the world – we better love doing it – if we truly want to live our lives in an extraordinary way. It’s that fire in our belly that makes us unique and different… it’s the fire makes us memorable… it’s the fire that keeps us going, when the tough days come along. Yes, passion matters. Know yours. Nurture it. And make space for your passion. Expect the unexpected in our journeys. We can’t define how life is going to go. We don’t know who will be on our journey with us. We don’t know the circumstances that will unfold today, tomorrow or next week. We only know that we each have our own journey to be on… to live on. It’s up to us to follow the signposts that show up in our lives, to follow the clues. Our stories will unfold with all kinds of outside circumstances unfolding around us. Our stories will take shape around what we’re angry about, sad about, or excited about. We will lose loved ones on our journey, we’ll meet new people on our journey. As Former First Lady of Colorado Dottie Lamm shared with us in her interview, “when one door closes – watch for another door to open.” I can’t express how much I believe this. We don’t know where life will guide us, but new pathways will definitely unfold. Susan J. Helms, the woman who holds the record for the longest walk in space shared with us, “It’s not about the destination… it’s about the journey.” I would like you to stop for a moment to consider how profound this statement is – coming from someone who has walked in space. Someone who was on a space station for 5 months. Someone who launched on a rocket to be in space. It’s about the journey, my friend. Do your inner work. Every single woman I met with this year makes regular space for themselves. Makes space for self-care. Makes space to do their own inner work. The way they approached this in every case was different, but they all made the time for doing their own inner work. Two amazing CEOs: Claudia Cividino of Bally Americas and Katica Roy of Pipeline stated “the most important thing I can do as a CEO is do my inner work.” All of the women I interviewed in this year had developed a soulful practice of some sorts. They have done the work to tap into their inner wisdom, to spirit wisdom and to trust their intuition. Face it – we’ve got some pretty cool chick wisdom floating around inside of us that we should nurture and love on. It is here that our most creative ideas drop in on us. It is here that the magic in our lives blossoms. Rita Devassy of Deva Seed encouraged us to “practice not filling in the silence with sound,” and Tami Simon of Sounds True went as far to challenge us to “spend 24 hours in total silence with our SELF.” Now that is a profound thought we should all try! No idea is too big. Go for it. Western artist Carrie Fell said, “Follow the BIG dream and take action every day.” So many of the women spoke about how important it is to believe in your SELF. And none of them said it was easy. They told stories of stepping into their courage, when they doubted the possibilities. Of going forward despite the fear. They praised the support systems they found along the way, and the ones that told them to dream even bigger. And it also meant that they needed to keep at it – because again – the road to where

Paige Goss: Founder and CEO of Point Solutions Group – 044

Today’s Extraordinary Women Radio Interview is with Paige Goss the Founder and CEO of Point Solutions Group. Paige started Point Solutions Group only 11 months ago, and has already generated over a $1 million of billings in this short amount of time. She’s changemaker, a doer – and makes things happen – all while moving across the country with her wife and starting a family! In this interview, we talk about how she grew the company so quickly, about life and family. She shares how the “the second that I was real and raw about who I was as a human, everything started to take shape for me. Its amazing what you get back, when you show up as your true authentic self.” Paige founded her company on a philosophy that people are the center point of all successful missions and programs. Point Solutions Group provides innovative solutions in information technology, engineering, and professional services for government and commercial organizations on issues of national and global significance. Paige and I met at a leadership conference last Fall, where we were fortunate to get to sit next to one another. Since then, we’ve shared multitudes of connections, Paige participated on my Circle of Inspiration Panel at my January Extraordinary Women Connect event – with two other CEOs of rapidly growing companies, and the collaborative relationship continues. It epitomizes a win:win connection and collaboration of what can happen when women support one another. There is so much power in this my friends. This is a perfect interview to share on International Women’s Day – because today, we celebrate how women can uplift one another. How together, we are stronger. As Leslie Foster said last week in her Extraordinary Women Radio interview, “One women is strong… two women is like three … three women are like nine.” Yes, we are strong and so much better when we work together. Today, I invite each of you to connect with the strength of women in your community. Uplift each other and then get out and do the work you’re meant to do on this earth! All we have is now. There is no better time than now. To learn more about Paige and Point Solutions Group, visit the Point Solutions Group website or follow them on Twitter or LinkedIn. As you know, I have a passion for women helping women. For the changemakers. For women who reach out a hand and lift another up. This certainly describes Leslie. Leslie has been helping women get off the streets of Denver for 30 years. She has passionately worked to influence local decision-makers’ conversations about the homeless population in Denver and how organizations provide services to women and children experiencing poverty or homelessness. Leslie is being inducted into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame this year and for good reason. In this interview, we talk about the strength of women – and how our strength multiplies exponentially – one women is strong… two women is like three … three women are like nine. Yes, we are strong and so much better when we work together. We talk about women in the homeless population and how we can best lend a hand to make a difference. Leslie was named the 2010 Community Leader of the Year by Community Shares of Colorado, and in 2008, she received the Swanee Hunt Individual Leadership Award from The Denver Foundation and Hunt Alternatives Fund. Heidi Ganahl: Founder of the She Factor and Camp Bow Wow, CU Regent, Entrepreneur – 042

This week’s Extraordinary Women Radio interview with Heidi Ganahl, the founder of Camp Bow Wow, is so good! Heidi has a passion for keeping the American dream alive and well! That’s because she’s been living it. And it wasn’t all a simple and easy path to get there. Heidi has faced extraordinary adversity in her life. Beginning with the loss of her husband at the age of 27, to losing a million-dollar insurance settlement, her entrepreneurial spirit helped her pick herself up and build a $100 million brand in the pet and franchise industry – Camp Bow Wow. In fact she’s well known for her Ted Talk called the Art of the Comeback, where she shares this powerful comeback story. Today she shares this journey she took and the lessons she learned along the way. In fact one of the things that struck me in this interview – was the most timely wisdom I’d heard all week – if not all year! “Be the best you can be at what you’re doing at the time, and forgive yourself for not being the best at everything all the time. You’ve got to let go of that.” The next day I wrote about this wisdom in my blog “Yesterday I broke.” Such timely words for me on that day. Camp Bow Wow was named to the Inc 500/5000 fastest growing company list five years in a row. Heidi has been named one of Fortune Magazine’s 10 Most Promising Entrepreneurs and Parade magazine called her one of the top women entrepreneurs in the country. And she’s not done yet! She’s about ready to launch her next entrepreneurial venture the She Factor – which is all about women and dreams! Heidi shares more about this in the interview! This interview is filled with so many great bits of wisdom, including: To comeback giveback On Passion: If you don’t absolutely love what you’re doing and jump out of bed every morning to get to work, it’s not worth doing. This is the difference of being a huge success and just getting by. But… you can’t just be passionate about something – you have to solve a problem. Stop apologizing for capitalism and free markets and embrace it. Fall back in love with what makes America an incredibly cool place. We’re going to fail – brush it off. In the world of fake news, the only one you can trust is yourself and your intuition (she jokes). Follow Heidi on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn. Let’s meet Heidi Ganahl the founder of the She Factor and Camp Bow Wow.

Tami Simon: Founder and CEO of Sounds True – 041

Today’s Extraordinary Women Radio interview is with Tami Simon the Founder and CEO of Sounds True. Tami founded Sounds True at the age of 22 with the mission of disseminating spiritual wisdom. Sounds True started out as a project with Tami – and her tape recorder thirty years ago. Since that time, Sounds True has grown into a multimedia publishing company with more than 80 employees, a library of more than 1500 titles featuring some of the leading teachers and visionaries of our time. Tami has interviewed leading teachers such as Michael Bernard Beckwith, David Whyte, and Geneen Roth—delving deep into their beliefs, teachings, and personal experiences on their own journeys for many years. And like so many of the interviews I get to do on Extraordinary Women Radio, Tami’s interview divinely occurred at a time when I needed her flavor of wisdom most. This week, I posted a blog called “Yesterday I broke,” which described a difficult day earlier this week, but more important, the important life lesson that unfolded in the perils of that day. In that day, and in my reflections, I leaned back into the wisdom Tami shared in this interview. I practiced some of her teachings from her audio program Being True: What Matters Most in Work, Life, and Love, that I’d been listening to these past few weeks – in preparation for this interview. And yes, I did break on that day. My heart cracked wide open. And in the multitude of breaks in the perfect storm that occurred over the day, I remembered the practice of the pause, of slowing down, of writing. In that pause, I had a discovery. I learned an important thing: “That in the very cracking open of my heart, love filled in the crevasses.” I was so grateful to have some of Tami’s practices so top of mind and heart these past few days. My hope is that the messages Tami shares in this interview are as divinely delivered to you, in perfect timing, as they were for me. To learn more about Tami and Sounds True, visit the Sounds True Web Site or download the Sounds True app and soak up all the beautiful spiritual wisdom disseminated here. Let’s meet Tami Simon of Sounds True.

Alexis Kanda-Olmstead: Social Advocate and Leader Advancing Women in Leadership – 040

Today’s Extraordinary Women Radio Interview is with Alexis Kanda-Olmstead – a social advocate and leader focused on uplifting women’s roles in leadership. With a twenty-year career in higher education, Alexis brings together research from the fields of social psychology, economics, history and biology to advance women’s leadership. I love how she’s weaving research into her work – and she shares some really interesting insights throughout our interview how research is guiding her work. She believes that through everyday acts of courage, we can learn how to develop a new relationship with power, get comfortable with fear, and step into our authentic leadership. And in fact she’s so passionate about this – she’s in the process of co-developing a school called the {Re}Finishing School for Brave Women. Yes, this is a twist on the antiquated view of the old finishing schools. Alexis brings this concept into the modern-day age of empowering women with courage – helping women let go of belief systems that no longer serve us. Thus the {Re}Finishing concept. Alexis has a brilliant way of understanding what the research shows – how we limit ourselves, how we perceive language – and her work helps women step up and lead in bigger and bold ways. I love this. Alexis Kanda-Olmstead is the founder of AKO Collective and co-architect of {Re}Finishing School for Brave Women. Outside of women’s development, Alexis is the lead for talent management at Colorado State University, a wife and partner, mother of two, and social activist. This is a delightful interview and Alexis is a wise woman who is making a big wave of change for women and has very extraordinary ideas that will make a ripple effect around the world. My kind of woman, no doubt! Let’s meet Alexis! “Self-Compassion is a Revolutionary Act. If we cultivate self-love, we are unstoppable.” ~Alexis Kanda-Olmstead To follow Alexis and her work, visit her web site at alexiskanda-olmstead or follow her on Facebook or connect with her on LinkedIn.
