Dr. Phil Newton has been preaching the word for over 50 years beginning on a Wednesday night in 1970 with a sermon on suffering out of 1 Peter chapter 4. Kike has served as lead pastor of Horizonte Querétaro since 2011. He is the founder of the Calvary Chapel School of Ministry in México and the Biblical Counseling Center at Querétaro. Kike also writes for the Gospel Coalition and is the founder and president of the Biblical Counseling Coalition in Mexico which hosts the annual National Biblical Counseling Conference, as well as regional biblical counseling conferences. He is currently pursuing ACBC certification and a MACS at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Paulina and they have one son.Kike shares his passion for mental, physical, and spiritual health. Coming out of a professional career in sales, Kike has seen what the endless pursuit of “results” has done to friends and colleagues. As a pastor, he has seen the same pursuit take out pastors of churches large and small. He details how important it is for a pastor to seek rest and balance or risk destroying their marriage or living unworthy of their pastoral calling. Kike recalls his first sermon that was given in the heat of the moment and was a smattering of multiple bible stories. He doesn’t know if what he said made sense but he knows God will deliver the message. Kike learned early on that it was so important to focus more on living a life full of intimacy with God rather that focus on output or activities. Wesley has directed a Bible College, lectured in theology, hermeneutics, NT Greek, and many other subjects. He is also the teaching pastor at Bayside Church’s Davis campus. During his career as a pastor, Wesley has also produced a podcast and authored several pieces on the subjects of mental health and suffering. Wesley began teaching on his high school campus after inviting fellow students to a bible study, and since it was his idea, he was elected to teach. Chris Thomas is the Teaching Pastor of Raymond Terrace Community Church in the Hunter Valley of NSW, Australia. Chris grew up in a Christian home and remembers having the opportunity to preach at his home church at a very young age. While he appreciates the support he received, Chris does think it’s important to be intentional about learning how to preach. At the age of 19, Chris was living in the “bush” or remote outback of northern Australia. During this time he met his wife and really began honing his craft as a young preacher. He reflects on a journey through very informal training and is thankful for God’s grace along the way. John Chandler has a history in Bible teaching and podcasting. He has served as a youth minister, lead pastor of a church plant, and web developer. John describes the differences between teaching as a guest or part of a rotation and being the lead teacher of a congregation. Every Bible teacher preaches topical sermons. Some topical preaching can be sloppy and biased, but Nick believes that focused topical sermons can prove a valuable part of our congregation's spiritual diet.

Nate Morris is the lead pastor of Mountain Life Calvary Chapel, with locations in the Vail and Roaring Fork Valleys of Colorado. Born in Montreal, Sébastien Frappier became a professional actor at the age of thirteen. Despite regular appearances within Quebecois television, film and stage productions for more than ten years, Sébastien found himself increasingly disillusioned by the local industry, and left for California to pursue secular fame. As it happened, Hollywood would never know Sébastien Frappier. Within the hot desert of New Mexico, the gift of new life through Jesus Christ became real to Sébastien. Personal ambitions to rise to fame melted away as a new greater purpose for living slowly impressed itself upon his heart. After attending Calvary of Albuquerque's School of Ministry in the early 90's, Sébastien became a pastoral intern to a 15,000 member congregation under the leadership of Pastor Skip Heitzig. Sébastien then worked as a full time ordained pastor at Calvary of Albuquerque as a Bible teacher, a Church History teacher, a Biblical counsellor, and an overseer of several ministries, including 35 home fellowships. Sébastien then returned to Montreal in 2004 and founded Calvary Chapel Montreal Regeneration that same year. 16 later the church in thriving downtown Montreal, With mostly young people, from 20 countries and joyfully growing: 52 babies were born in the last couple years!!! Dr Jason Cruise speaks with Mike about the often-neglected importance of application in sermon preparation and delivery. He suggests that preachers are hesitant to bring out points of application because they don’t want to seem shallow, don’t want to spoon-feed their congregations or sometimes it may be that they are just plain lazy! Getting into the mindset of the average hearer will help preachers to understand that what we bring to the pulpit might not be actually helpful to those who we are trying to serve.
