ABOUT THIS EPISODE (+ scroll for resources) 👇
in a candid, impromptu episode of her podcast, I address a social media video that portrays being a sibling of a neurodivergent child as unfair. while I acknowledge the challenges of parenting autistic children, I offer a different perspective based on my personal experience as a sibling and my professional insight. I discuss the importance of seeing the beauty in diversity, focusing on quality over quantity of time, and fostering empathy, resilience and advocacy skills among all children. I encourages parents to start dialogues about neurodiversity within their homes and emphasize that the goal should not be about achieving fairness but about being mindful and present for each child’s unique needs.
