I discuss with Dr. Nikos Zaras how the reactive strength index and rate of torque development correlate with weightlifting performance.
Dr. Zaras is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science, School of Physical Education, Sport Science, and Occupational Therapy at the Democritus University of Thrace in Komotini, Greece. He teaches courses on resistance training, designing resistance training programs, and Olympic weightlifting. His research focuses on strengthโpower training, Olympic weightlifting, neuromuscular physiology, and performance.
