Once upon a time, we had a wide world of socializing opportunities. But the COVID pandemic made many of our common social interactions dangerous, or legally impossible, shrinking our relational connections significantly. And some people enjoyed that change. It is becoming increasingly popular for churches to pioneer new models of "micro church". You may know them by various names, but these intentionally simple, streamlined expressions of the church are often small, volunteer-led, and casual. The Church was originally a decentralized movement. Often we let others' sin define them and divide us. But our ongoing involvement and relationship with others, especially those we think of as "sinners", begins with a profound grasp of God’s grace. The word “missional” is not a dirty word, out of fashion, or dead. It still means today: living radically focused on the mission of discipleship; making more disciples of Jesus in everyday life.
