12: Breast Implant Illness, Mystery Symptoms & Unconscious Wounds - Alice's Story
Filly is joined by Alice, one of our beautiful clients, who shares her own ending body burnout story. Brace yourself - Alice’s story is wild (think only being able to eat asparagus & mushrooms at her lowest point)! In this episode, Alice chats with Filly about: How her health had always been problematic, starting right back as a kid when she would experience chronic throat infections. As an adult, Alice developed inflammatory conditions - herpes in the oesophagus, endometriosis attributed to the contraceptive pill, then a TIA (mini-stroke) which left half her faced paralysed in 2018. Shortly after, Alice got breast implants, and her health went steadily downhill from there. She developed chronic fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, tinnitus, thrush, anxiety, paranoid thinking, gut issues, and food sensitivities (to the point where she could only eat asparagus and mushrooms!). After getting nowhere with the doctors (they said her symptoms were just ‘psychosomatic’), she took her health into her own hands, and tried elimination diets and did some labs and treatment with naturopaths. She saw some improvement, but still her symptoms kept flaring up, and she knew she hadn’t hit the root-cause. Alice came across breast implant illness (BII), and finally took the plunge to remove the implants in 2022. Alice reached out to us at Chris & Filly Functional Medicine, to support her in recovering from BII and to finally get to the ROOT-root of her body burnout. We ran labs first, which showed stage 2 Adrenal fatigue, low testosterone & progesterone, parasites & bacterial overgrowth, low beneficial microbiome & sigA, and detox issues, and we got to work addressing her body with lab-based supplements. Alice started feeling better, but then experienced burnout at work, showing up physically in her body as a somatic trauma reaction. She knew she had to dig deeper into healing her body, so she joined our Ending Body Burnout Method to holistically heal her body, by getting to deeper subconscious core wounds, retraining the brain and regulating the nervous system. Alice shares how her childhood upbringing of neglect led to perfectionist and addictive-doing patterns, and how it was physically affecting her body, and how she addressed this in Spark, a core process in our Ending Body Burnout Method. Alice is living a calm, centred and vibrant life now. She’s learned to regulate her own system, especially at work. She’s more present as a mother. She’s back exercising mindfully. And she’s eating ALL the foods again! We have so loved working with Alice so far. She’s a beautiful soul, and so dedicated to healing her body - physically and metaphysically, in all its layers! A huge thank you to Alice for the courage to share her story - we know it’s going to inspire you. If you’ve been suffering with “weird” chronic symptoms that don’t seem to get better, and you feel like there’s no way out, you’ll absolutely want to listen in to Alice’s ending body burnout story. 11: “Connect The Dots” - Food Sensitivities, Grave’s Disease, Chronic Cough
In this “Connect The Dots” episode, Chris & Filly dive into a listener's case around food sensitivities and other “mysterious” symptoms, including chronic cough, fatigue, insomnia, brain fog, dry skin and Graves disease. They talk about food sensitivities, including the pros and cons of doing food allergy testing, and the more effective lab tests to use when it comes to addressing food sensitivities. They also analyse other symptoms to identify possible body system imbalances that are causing an abnormal immune response to foods in the first place. They also dive into potential root-causes, including the listener’s internal stress response, and deeper “metaphysical inflammatories” that could be triggering the immune system. …And heads up for next week’s episode: you’ll hear from our client Alice and how she overcame her own food sensitivities (this gal was down to eating only asparagus and mushrooms!), as well as breast implant illness, a myriad of “mysterious” symptoms and deeper unconscious wounds using our Ending Body Burnout Method! 10: Filly’s Decade-Long Emotional Eating Journey
In this episode, Filly intimately shares her emotional eating journey that spans across the past 11 years, with co-host Chris. This episode is in celebration of Natural Medicine Week 22 - 28 May 2023. Filly is a proud ambassador for Natural Medicine Week, and will be holding a special [FREE] Root Cause of Emotional Eating Masterclass - register here. And while you’re there, check out all the other exciting online events, blogs & recipes being held during Natural Medicine Week. Back to today’s episode… Filly talks about her experience with emotional eating. She initially thought she was eating healthy, but was actually a sugar addict. Discovering how the food she was eating was causing inflammation and could lead to cancer, she completely changed her diet to clean, wholefoods and fermented foods. Although this was in an effort to heal from her body burnout, it also came from a place of fear. She struggled with bingeing on sugar on weekends, and even went so far as hiding her habits, and was constantly plagued with feelings of guilt and shame - especially when she became a clinical nutritionist! She eventually realised that the "naughty" foods were harming her body and went cold-turkey to stop eating them. Initially this was a struggle, with constant feelings of deprivation and restriction. A few years later, she learned to love nourishing her body with healthy foods. This was during the time she did functional medicine lab work and protocols on herself, which helped the emotional eating. During COVID, heartburn flared up every time she ate, especially with high-histamine foods. Filly couldn’t muster up the energy of eating a restricted diet again, so she continued to eat the histamine foods, and bandaid the heartburn with natural supplements. Filly knew something wasn’t right. And dug deeper into root-causes. After deep inner work, Filly realised she was (very subtly & stealthily) not trusting her body, and so she reprogrammed her brain and regulated her nervous system, which lifted the heartburn. Even big trigger foods - like dairy - she could start eating again, without any major issues. She now has a free and flowing relationship with food, trusting her body to digest any food she chooses without guilt or shame. 9. "Quirky Cooking", Food Intolerances, Gut-Brain Health & Healing Foods with Jo Whitton
Filly is joined by Jo Whitton from Quirky Cooking on today’s podcast episode. Such a great convo! Filly has been cooking along with Jo ever since Filly started her own healing journey back in 2013. So it was a true pleasure to meet Jo in person and pick her brains about her “Quirky Cooking” journey. About Jo Whitton Jo Whitton lives in Far North Queensland where she runs her business, Quirky Cooking, from home and enjoys the country life. Due to food intolerances in her family (herself and her four children), Jo began researching ways to improve their health through diet from the time her kids were very young. In 2008 she began a blog, Quirky Cooking, to share what she was learning and the recipes she was developing for her family. In 2014, Jo’s son Isaac was diagnosed with severe OCD and anxiety, which resulted in a deep dive into gut health and food as medicine. Not only did Isaac’s mental health stabilise, but her whole family saw massive improvements in their overall health. Jo has since helped thousands of families to heal with food, sharing the principles she used to heal her own family. Jo runs health seminars, cooking workshops, retreats and other events both in Australia and overseas, sharing how to transition to a healing, whole food diet in a doable and sustainable way. She also shares podcasts and videos and facilitates gut health programs to support people working through healing with food, regularly develops new recipes for her audience, and shares daily cooking videos from her kitchen on social media. Jo is the author of three best-selling cookbooks: “Quirky Cooking”, “Life-Changing Food” and “Simple Healing Food”. In today’s episode, Jo Whitton talks to Filly about: Jo shares how she was struggling with her own “body burnout”, taking us right back to when she was young, when she struggled with putting on weight, being sick all the time, food intolerances, histamine issues, and then later on hormonal imbalances & fatigue. Things got worse after Jo had kids and she was juggling all the things. After connecting many of her health issues to food intolerances, Jo tried seeking help from doctors and dieticians, but found their advice around food wasn’t helpful. Eventually she saw a naturopath and chiropractor who introduces her to wholefood eating and healing foods, and her Quirky Cooking journey began! Jo shares how her Quirky Cooking business evolved, from starting a blog with recipes and meal plans, and connecting with others struggling with food intolerances and health issues, to writing her first cookbook and evolving her business to what it is now. Jo’s health improved with her change of diet, but she had a feeling that she was still only “managing” underlying health issues. In 2014, her son Isaac developed severe anxiety and OCD, which led to a deeper dive into the GAPs diet and gut health. Jo shares what this looked like for Isaac and the whole family, and the incredible healing that came from addressing gut health (Isaac went from severe OCD, anxiety and paranoia, to returning back to a “normal kid” within weeks!). Filly and Jo chat about deeper root-causes of Jo’s food intolerances and poor gut health. Jo talks about her genetic mutation that makes it harder for her body to detoxify, as well as early chronic exposure to mould and farming pesticides. They also dig into Jo’s inner patterns of emotional sensitivity as a kid, body image as a teenage and adult, and over-doing and people pleasing tendencies as a younger mother and business owner. Jo shares how she has navigated this side of her healing journey, to now being a healthy, confident and more balanced 50 year old (beautiful!) woman. We dive into Jo’s 8-Week Gut Health Program that is helping so many people heal their guts with wholefoods and healthy living, as well as creating a supportive and nourishing space to reconnect back to healing foods and connecting. She also talks about her upcoming health retreats in Italy and Far North QLD. Filly hand-picked three listener’s questions for Jo, and we finish off the convo with Jo answering the questions: “Do you ever get sick of cooking?? What do you do to give yourself a break from it occasionally? Or do you just enjoy it so much that you never stop?!” ~ Sarah Scrimegeur “Do you have any tricks to get my 7yo to try food that isn’t pasta or rice? If so you are my new hero” ~ Andrew Wheatley “Time poor, mum with special needs kids. What first steps I should take to help my exhausted body?” ~ @Natural.learning.life A very big thank you again to the super inspiring and big-hearted Jo for coming on the Ending Body Burnout Show! 7: Headaches, Brainfog, Body Odour - Brian’s Story
Filly is joined by Brian, one of our awesome clients who worked with Chris & Filly Functional Medicine a couple of years ago. Brian is one of the biggest-hearted people you will ever meet. He is also a highly successful entrepreneur, and is currently the founder of VA Platinum, an outsourcing business. VA Platinum specialises in hiring virtual staff for business owners to win back their time, make more money and improve their happiness. (Segway: We’re lucky enough to have some of Brian’s awesome VA’s working for us! Shout out to Gerson for doing all the background work on this podcast + MORE in our business!). But…running fast-growth businesses came at a cost for Brian: his love for helping people, initially affected his health. Brian shares his ending body burnout story, and how he overcame chronic daily headaches, brain fog, fatigue, anxiousness, and stress-triggered body odour. These real-life stories are super special. We are lovers of words and the power of stories to heal and to create a transformation. And the research is clear: telling your own story and listening to other people share their story has mental AND physical healing benefits. Stories also metabolise trauma - which is what a lot of people struggling with chronic body burnout and “mystery” symptoms experience on a day to day basis. So we are incredibly grateful to Brian for coming on the show today, to spread the love and healing with others, as he shares his own ending body burnout journey. In this episode, Brian chats to Filly about: Being a Dad, husband, adventurer & now living the nomad lifestyle. The health issues Brian was struggling with, before reaching out to Chris & Filly - headaches, brain fog, fatigue, anxiousness, and stress-triggered body odour. Brian also talks about how this was affecting his life - how the headaches and brain fog and poor energy were affecting his ability to get through work and enjoy family time. How he was waking up most days thinking: ”not another f&% day!”, and how as the founder of a fast-growing business, he felt like he couldn’t tell anyone this. How he was experiencing extreme lows during the day, and had no energy or desire to exercise or look after himself. Brian talks about his tendency to over-give to others - martyrdom syndrome, empath, people pleasing - and how he genuinely loved helping friends and clients, but how he realised that his own health benefits, family relationships and lifestyle were going down the drain. Filly & Brian chat about this pattern, and how it is often a deeper metaphysical root-cause of body burnout. Brian then talks about what he had tried before reaching out to Chris & Filly, including doing a full blood-count with his GP. Brian was relieved nothing sinister, like cancer, showed up on the test results, but he was still confused about the cause of his failing health. In the meantime he “managed” his symptoms by pushing through work, grinning his way through family time, and popping pain killers once a week when the headaches got too painful. Filly and Brian chat about the Answers phase of the Ending Body Burnout Method, which includes connecting the dots of symptoms and his health history, and getting answers around body systems using functional lab testing. Brian had an unusual adrenal stress hormone test, which showed super low cortisol and very high DHEA. Brian also had extremely low serotonin, a huge amount of opportunistic bacterial overgrowth in his gut, and extremely low glutathione stores which were affecting detox pathways (interesting, as his GP blood test results for liver function were fine - Filly chats about the difference between GP testing and functional lab testing for the liver/detoxification). Brian describes how impressed he was about the level of data he received through the labs - and how validating it was, especially when all his GP tests came back as “fine”. Brian and Filly chat about root-causes - what actually caused his body systems to burn-out in the first place. One of the major root-causes was Brian’s stress/work load, and the patterns of over-doing for others, which led to addictively overworking. This behavioural pattern is not natural for Brian, who would much prefer to read a book all day or go for a hike. He felt pressured to “do more” because of pressure from others - and the pressure he put on himself to please others. We chatted about how mindset coaching helped him get clear on his values so he could align his behaviour to self-healing and health-promoting behaviours, as well as regular meditation. Filly also highlights that Brian’s genetic liver condition, Gilbert’s syndrome, which was diagnosed when he was 15 years old, would’ve played a part in Brian’s detox results. Filly chats about epigenetics and how you can turn genetic mutations on & off through the way you live, think and feel, and the health of your body systems. Brian
6: People Pleasing & Body Burnout
Today, we will discuss a common pattern that many busy people experience, which is a major contributor to body burnout and can result in energy, mood, and gut issues. This pattern is known as "People Pleasing." Next week, we will feature a special client story with Brian, who experienced chronic headaches, brain fog, exhaustion, anxiousness, and stinky body odour. At the deepest root-cause level, his health issues stemmed from a chronic "people pleasing" pattern. We had a great conversation, and we can't wait for you to hear from Brian next week. But now, let's dive into "people pleasing." What is "People Pleasing"? Here are ten characteristics of a "people pleaser": Difficulty saying no Overcommitting Avoidance of conflict Need for approval Difficulty asserting themselves Self-sacrifice Anxiety or stress Lack of boundaries Difficulty prioritizing Guilt Additionally, according to Stephen Karpman's Drama Triangle, a people pleaser may assume the role of a "rescuer." In this mode, the person does not value other people's capacity to help themselves, appears self-sacrificing, is overly helpful and facilitative, likes to be needed, prone to unnecessary meddling, and engulfing. Five Body Systems That Breakdown When You People Please Here are five key areas of the body that we see breaking down time and time again when people are constantly "rescuing" others but failing to care for themselves: Stress and Sex Hormones Microbiome Imbalances Digestive Organ Damage Mitochondria Retraction Nervous System If you are a self-diagnosed people-pleaser, and your body is failing you, we can test and recommend a program to help you break this pattern. Root Cause of People Pleasing People pleasing is a symptom of a deeper subconscious dysfunction. Simply stopping people pleasing behaviour is not enough because it's a symptom of a root-cause wound. People pleasing behaviour is often caused by a belief that you're not enough, worthy, lovable, capable, successful, or good. Examples of how this can show up include low self-esteem, fear of rejection, and deflecting own issues. To address health issues caused by people pleasing, it's important to address the root cause and reprogram the subconscious mind. Conclusion The body doesn’t just “break-down” for no reason. There’s ALWAYS a subconscious (or MIND) component to health issues. We hope you’ve gained a deeper perspective on not only where your symptoms may be stemming from, but WHY. And a reminder that next week we will hear from our client Brian and how he overcame his own chronic headaches, brain fog, exhaustion, anxiousness & stinky body odour using our body-mind-environment Ending Body Burnout Method! 5: Chronic Fatigue, Anxiety, Gallstones - Sam's Story
Filly is joined by Sam, one of our super inspiring clients who has recently gone through Chris & Filly Functional Medicine’s “Ending Body Burnout Method”. Sam shares her ending body burnout story, and how she overcame chronic fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, gallstone attacks & gut issues. So we are incredibly grateful to the wonderful Sam, for coming on the show today, to spread the love and healing with others, as she shares her own ending body burnout journey. In this episode, Sam chats to Filly about: 2:16 The health issues she was struggling with, before reaching out to Chris & Filly - chronic fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, gallstone attacks and gut issues. Sam also talks about how this was affecting her life - how she struggled to get through a day at work in her desk job, how she constantly crashed after trying to exercise, how she constantly got worried and stressedout about everything and everything, and how she was left flat on her back some days, in so much pain with gallstone attacks. (6:02) Sam talks about what she had tried before reaching out to Chris & Filly. She worked with a couple of psychologists, who helped with managing anxious thoughts. But it didn’t help with her physical body - the fatigue, the brain fog, the gut issues - which had a cyclical affect on her mental health, flaring up her anxiety again. She had also tried a bunch of supps prescibed by a chinese medicine practitioner, as well as supps found on Dr Google - which were costing her $300+ every month, with little results. (7:43) Filly and Sam chat about the Answers phase of the Ending Body Burnout Method, which includes connecting the dots of symptoms and her health history, and getting answers around body systems using functional lab testing. Both Sam and Filly were surprised to see that Sam’s adrenal stress hormone test results came back perfect (even though Sam ticked all the “adrenal fatigue” symptoms!). This is why we test, don’t guess! We did more digging into body systems with additional testing, which found the source of Sam’s issues at a physical level - low dopamine & adrenaline, retracted mitochondria, detox & bile issues, and gut dysbiosis & low secretory IgA. (11:17)+(13:14) (17:10)While understanding body system imbalances is important to overcoming body burnout, it is not the end solution. The next question we asked was: Why? Why, Sam, are these specific body systems burned-out? What caused the body systems to burn-out in the first place? Sam and Filly chat about the root-causes of Sam’s burnout - growing up in a stressful environment, which caused dysfunctional beliefs of “not being enough”, which then caused a chronic abnormal stress response which overtime, burned-out Sam’s body systems. Inner subconscious patterns also led Sam to getting stuck in toxic relationships and work places that were causing more stress to her body and mind. Sam also talks about environmental toxin exposure from an early age - secondary smoking and alcoholism (even when she was in her mother’s womb). This impacted her liver and detox health, which overtime caused bile and gallbladder issues. (18:47)+(20:40)(Sam tells us about moments when she knew the Ending Body Burnout Method was working to solve her issues. She was finally able to get back into a regular exercise routine, that was helping her rather than causing more body burnout. She started getting through days of work with sustained energy and mental clarity. She is now regulating her stress repsonse in a healthy way (even in the face of a lot of stuff currently going on in her life). She hasn’t had a gallstone attack for a couple of years - which was chronically happening 2-weeks before her birthday, and sometimes every couple of months after that! (25:52) Sam also shares what her life is now like. She got out of a toxic relationship, and is feeling good within herself, and happy with being on her own for now. She took charge of a toxic workplace, and is now in a healthy, happy workplace environment. And she’s just built a new house! All this, from a girl who grew up with neglect, and without a proper education. Sam is a completely new woman and an inspiration to the possibilities that can come when you can end your body burnout! (28:52)Sam also shares a message of hope to our listeners: how healing can come when you can stay consistent with your healing program. Even if it is just 1% better everyday! 4: “Connect The Dots” - Fatigue, ADHD, Trauma
In this “Connect The Dots” episode, Chris & Filly take on a listener's case around chronic fatigue and several associated symptoms. Chronic fatigue is a disease characterised by profound fatigue, sleep abnormalities, pain, and other symptoms that are made worse by exertion. From a medical standpoint, there is no cure or approved treatment for this condition. However, you’ll soon see that functional medicine and holistic healing CAN improve - if not eradicate! - chronic fatigue. Chris & Filly dive into this listener’s case, who wrote in about struggling with fatigue, vaginal imbalances, diagnosed ADHD, depression, grinding her teeth when asleep, bleeding gums, and struggling to get up on time. They analyse these symptoms to identify the possible body system imbalances that are causing the fatigue, such as neurotransmitter imbalances, adrenal fatigue, gut health and detox issues, and emphasise that taking a holistic approach is essential to treating chronic fatigue. They also dive into potential root-causes: the effect trauma has on the body, deeper underlying reasons for procrastination and inconsistent self-care, and how constant distraction can be a sign that it’s not “safe” to heal. …And heads up for next week’s episode: you’ll hear from our client Sam and how she overcame her own chronic fatigue, as well as brain fog, anxiety, gallstone attacks & gut issues using our Ending Body Burnout Method! 3: Chris’s Body Burnout Story
Episode #3 - Chris’s Body Burnout Story Today on the Ending Body Burnout Show, the tables turn and Filly interviews Chris all about his own body burnout story and how he evolved into a more high-value man. Chris shares: When he was a little boy, he was always really interested in sport, physical activity & performance. He loved doing hard things! And this was rubbed off from his Dad, who was an army man, who also played high-level sport, and always encouraged Chris to DO YOUR BEST! GO HARDER! Chris also had a close relationship to his grandfather (on his Mum’s side), who was a loving, kind, and very balanced man. Chris grew to discover within himself, even as a young boy, that he had a gift of intuition, and a deep care for the “wounded”. He grew up with this juxtaposition of “fight, go-harder” and “love and care”. When he started doing well in sport, ego got the better of him. He thrashed his body to do more, be more, go hard, WIN! When he married Filly, this hyper-focused high-performance pattern trickled over into business endeavours as well. Between training for national-level sport and building a business, he burned his body out, and neglected his family, and even his sense of self. Then mid-to-late 30’s happened, and his natural physical abilities started fading away, replaced by pain. He was constantly inflamed and in pain - 10/10 pain in his joints. He was exhausted, burned-out, depressed, and experienced chronic headaches. His business and family started breaking down too. In his darkest moments, his Grandad - they man he looked up to the most in his life - passed away. This triggered within Chris the choice: do I continue ruining my health, my relationships, my business and my life, or do I do something different? Into his world, came mentors, Mark Buckley and Mark Luxom, from the FMA Strength Institute, as well as Kylie Ryan from Super Coach Academy. They taught him how to become a high-value man in health, business, relationships and in life. It became less about doing/achieving, and more about being. Chris started healing from adrenal fatigue, with the help of Filly, and did a lot of inner work, to become a new evolved version of himself. The COVID pandemic happened at the perfect time for Chris. He let go of his gym business, and joined forces with Filly to create Chris & Filly Functional Medicine, which created space for both personal healing, as well as making space to develop an effective way of ending body burnout for good, in other addicted-doers experiencing body burnout. Chris went inwards, and connected to his innate gift of helping others who are “wounded”, and he transformed into a burnout recovery coach. His passion, purpose, and calling is to help you navigate these dark moments in your life, and help you connect to your heart and your soul, to address the deepest root cause of body burnout, and to integrate the old you into the new you. Listen in as Chris shares his healing journey with Filly, who also adds her experience of Chris conquering his body burnout. 2: Filly’s Body Burnout Story
Today on the Ending Body Burnout Show, Chris interviews Filly all about her own body burnout story and all the layers of healing she went through. Filly shares: Her first signs of body burnout in her teenage years, when she developed vasovagal episodes (fainting, fitting & peeing herself!), heartburn and PCOS (irregular periods, acne), while also struggling with inner self-doubts and anxiousness. After Chris & Filly marry, Filly struggles with infertility, and is also working her butt off trying to complete a PhD and addictively exercising. Baby #1 (Poppy) comes along - Filly drowns in a vortex of fear and has a traumatic birth, which causes damage to her bladder. Filly has to use a catheter for the first 4-months after birth, which leads to multiple UTI’s, chronic constipation, and several trips back to the hospital where she is pumped full of antibiotics. All while her new baby struggles with colic and screams every waking hour. Filly’s bladder eventually heals, but month-by-month, she starts to develop new symptoms, while pre-existing ones exacerbate - depression, low-libido, hormonal imbalances, chronic sciatica pain, low-immunity (catching all the colds, flus & infections), heartburn, fatigue, acne. When Poppy turns 1, Filly feels like an 80 year old, and knows she has to do something to address her health. After hitting a roadblock with the GP, physios & osteo’s, Filly deep-dives into nutrition - ditching the processed foods, and making everything from scratch. She also starts studying Clinical Nutrition. A year later, Filly is starting to get on top of her health issues, and she falls pregnant with baby #2. Elsie comes along - and this time Filly is sure things will be different! But…ALL the same health issues resurface with a vengeance, including full-blown anxiety, panic-attacks and chemical sensitivities. Food as medicine alone doesn’t cut it. So Filly goes deeper and looks into toxins in her home, and also comes across Functional Medicine. By this time, Filly has graduated as a Clinical Nutritionist, and is frustrated by the lack of resolution in her own health issues. So she gets mentorship from one of the world’s best in Functional Medicine, Dr Daniel Kalish, for four years. During this time she runs her own lab tests, and treats her body with lab-based supplement protocols, healing diets and better work-life balance. All is good for a few years until COVID 2020 hits, and Filly’s health issues flare up again - anxiety, heartburn, hormonal imbalances, and this time, also insomnia. None of the “physical” protocols work this time around, so Filly dove deeper into healing her mind and inner patterns, including deep-seated dysfunctional beliefs about herself stemming back from childhood, which was the deepest root cause of her body burnout. After 4.5 months of dedicated inner healing, Filly takes control of her decades-long battle with anxiety and heartburn, and the sleep eases. Filly shares why a holistic ROOT-root cause approach is the best way to practice healthcare, highlighting that it is a missing piece in not only the modern medical system, but also in how many practitioners practice functional medicine and natural medicine. Listen in as Filly shares her healing journey with Chris, who also adds his experience of Filly’s struggle with her health issues.
